Book The Long Dark Tunnel

Download or read book The Long Dark Tunnel written by Thelma Wehunt and published by iUniverse. This book was released on 2012-06 with total page 118 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: It had been six months since their beautiful Christmas in California, and Thelma Wehunt was expecting another wonderful time shortly. Her daughters and grandchildren were on their way to visit her in Oklahoma. Wanting everything to be perfect upon their arrival, Thelma called again to check on their progress and make sure there were no final arrangements that needed to be made to welcome them home. The voice on the other side of the line, however, was not one that she recognized. At that point, her life was thrown into a chaotic turmoil that could only be calmed by time, support, and the deep, soothing conviction of her unwavering faith in her loving God. Tragedy visits us all, but there may be nothing more deeply tragic than a mother outliving her children. In her memoir, Wehunt shares the touching testimony of her journey through the long, dark tunnel of despair to emotional recovery after losing both children and grandchildren to a terrible and unforeseeable accident.

Book Drogons 3 Victims Of The Victoriuos

Download or read book Drogons 3 Victims Of The Victoriuos written by Hells Lefse and published by America Star Books. This book was released on 2015-04-27 with total page 329 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Sven, Ole, Asil, Einer and their friends are about to embark on one of the most heart-rending adventures of their lives. They will be joined by their friends Kavan, Parkurkarkuss and McCorn in an effort to rescue Kavan’s family from the Russian zone of occupied Germany. Atrocities committed by the Nazi’s are well documented. Educational institutes and even museums teach the world about the plight and suffering of the Jews and other minorities that were displaced from their homes and businesses, tortured and killed during the Nazi regime. These well-meaning organizations are there to make sure we never forget the holocaust that took place in Hitler’s Nazi Germany. History and education have told of the suffering and death reeked upon the countries that the Germans overran and occupied. After the unconditional surrender of Germany and its occupation by the allied nations the German people would be treated much the same as they had treated the countries that they had defeated. For the German survivors would soon be displaced from their homes, have their possessions and business taken away from them. The basic needs of life would be allowed only at sustenance levels. After Germany surrendered, a new virtually ‘unknown holocaust’ took place. From 1945-1950 the allies expelled or forced more than 14 million Germans from their ancestral homes. 4 million German citizens were sent away as forced labor, most of these went to Russia never to return. More than 2 million Germans were killed or lost their lives. Over 2 million women from the ages of 9 to 90 were raped. Many of them did not survive or were mutilated for life. In the winter of 1945-1946, the allies forbid any nation to send food or aid to the starving Germans. The allied authorities even rejected requests by the international Red Cross to bring provisions to alleviate the suffering of the German people. The most common response to allied atrocities was to say, “The Germans got what the deserved.” Many of the things you will read in this story are true and based on facts. There are books and resources available on line or at your library for those of you who would like to do further research. I hope that the ‘truth’ be it good or bad will help humanity not to repeat the same mistakes in the future. What was left of the German population had become the Victims of the Victorious.

Book Almost There Walking through the Valley

Download or read book Almost There Walking through the Valley written by Jack Weitzel and published by Christian Faith Publishing, Inc.. This book was released on 2018-06-25 with total page 341 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Just a few moments before his death, my father looked straight ahead and with a calm voice said to me, 'Almost there!' It has been 20 years since his homeward journey and I have been haunted by those words. What was he seeing that we couldn't see? In my career as a surgeon and a witness for Christ, I have observed many deaths when the last moments were calm and unafraid. Four years as a hospice volunteer brought me even more intimate with those last moments. I think that the valley David wrote of could also represent moments of extreme circumstances in our lives when we are in the Shadow of death: an automobile accident with severe injuries, the sudden loss of a child or spouse, the loss of a career, a consuming fire, a devastating flood, the birth of a stillborn. Do you have the Good Shepherd to guide you through these times? We only have this moment, this breath. Tomorrow is not promised to anyone. Do you have the peace of God that surpasses all understanding? Are you ready to walk through the valleys of your life? Come with me as I walk through the valley of the hospice and witness the grace and comfort that only God can provide for us. Journey with me and meet my Lord. There will be stops along the way as we see how the world deals with the valley. I pray that this book might be a life changing experience for you as we journey to 'Almost there.'

Book excerpt: This is my story - my life from the horrors of war and slaughter to the travails of change and atonement. For much of my life I lived in fear that my past would catch up to me. I hid my beliefs and prejudices and walked among the gentle, unsuspecting people of a small American town. I am, or was, an embodiment of madness, atrocity, cruelty and horror. I had to remind myself how to behave, react and interact with those around me. I could not pick my friends, neighbors or the people I would like to associate with. I could not express my desires and thoughts. I could not do what I wanted to do. I was locked inside a mad world without the ability to make any contribution, as I used to do - during the war and before it. Friends and neighbors? I shunned them. Social groups and religious organizations? I shunned them as well. Often I thought it better to turn myself in or die one way or another - just to get everything over with. That changed one day - a miraculous day when a young child came into my life and helped me back into life, reappraisal, and a quest for atonement. That young child was Jewish. And I am a former SS officer.

Book Theism the Philadelphia Theory

Download or read book Theism the Philadelphia Theory written by Kurt Bakley and published by AuthorHouse. This book was released on 2020-08-17 with total page 428 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Did creation happen in the beginning by a homosexual union? Does the sun and the whole Universe run on the principle of homosexuality? Does the Bible tell of God and angels in heaven having dresses and bras because they are transsexuals and a hermaphrodite? Are the 144,000 witnesses of God in Revelation chapters 7 and 14 homosexuals? Is part of God literally a dunghill? Does part of God speak profanity? After the end of this world will we all go to live on a new earth with the New Jerusalem filled with homosexuals and lawless, and outside its gates are the religious? Did God make a new covenant in these last days that allows homosexuals and all people into His kingdom forever? Will the Lord God at that time be there as a Hermaphrodite (she/male) as the joining of the two (good and evil) so all may live forever in peace and joy, which the Bible predicted as the wedding of Christ and His bride? Were all the wisdom and teaching and prophecies of the end time antichrist and evil reversed? That in the end times the real evil is religion and that at the end the New Jerusalem is free and lawless? Was the main part of satan all along that of a religious spirit and was always testing and not tempting? Were words given to explain God have the meaning that He is a God for all races, cultures, ways of life and religions and even the non-religious? Are Gentiles children of devils? Are we all Jewish? For all the details read the whole book: Theism The Philadelphia Theory: One word that answers all things for all to know. This book was finished by April 13, 2018 A.D.

Book Oi watch it Treacle The Life and Hard Times of Terry Knacker

Download or read book Oi watch it Treacle The Life and Hard Times of Terry Knacker written by Richard Nuttall and published by Lulu.com. This book was released on 2016-01-10 with total page 320 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: THERE have been many biographies of hard men, geezers who would maim you as soon as look at you for insulting their dear old mums, but none like this. This is the incredible life story of a man who rose from humble beginnings to become the hardest man in the world. That man is Terrence Shirley Knacker. Given an effeminate middle name to ensure a difficult childhood, Terry fought and blagged his way to the top, conquering adversity and trampling on anyone who got in his way. Ultimately loved by few but respected by many, he has drawn celebrities, sports stars and politicians to him like flies to shit. In the pages of this book, Terry attempts to get his story across, occasionally with all the subtlety of one of his right hooks. Like its subject matter, it is not always a pretty read, but it will grip you by the throat and give you a couple of cheeky slaps for looking at it funny. So don't waste his time, put yer hand in yer pocket and buy it.

Book Paranormal Experience and Survival of Death

Download or read book Paranormal Experience and Survival of Death written by Carl B. Becker and published by SUNY Press. This book was released on 1993-01-01 with total page 272 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This text amasses data and surveys from a century of research on the paranormal on four continents: Europe, Asia, and the Americas. Studying the tensions between religious and scientific perspectives, the author reviews numerous substantiated accounts of demon-possession, of memories of past lives, of ghostly apparitions, and out-of-body experiences. He analyzes the medical evidence and what such experiences imply about survival after death. The author then looks at the reasons for the taboos on scientific discussion of such research within the social sciences, and proposes a new paradigm for a more holistic view of the field.
