Book excerpt: William Dean (1770-1855) married Sarah Manley (1778-1857), a native of Vermont. One son, Minturn Dean (1808-1880), married Ruth Henton Beck (1816-1873), who was born in Ohio. Ruth was a granddaughter of Isaac Morris (1740-1830), a native of Pennsylvania and Ruth Henton (1750-1839), a native of Virginia. Beck family is traced to Samuel Beck (1780-1858) of Kentucky who married Hannah Morris. Chipley family is traced to William Chipley (1771-1823) of Maryland who married (1) Abigail Herring and (2) Isabella Sharpe. Sanders family is traced to Joseph Townsend Sanders (1812-1889) who married Dina Ann Beck (1811-1893).
