Download or read book A Bow Elk Hunter Nightmare written by Clyde Schultz and published by iUniverse. This book was released on 2007-08 with total page 135 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This story could very well have happened while hunting elk in Colorado. When I approached two men dressed in street clothes and oxfords. It was strange to see them in 14 inches of fresh snow but there big smiling faces left me to believe every thing was OK. They told me that they had been stuck for four days and I offered to help them out. They apparently had no money to pay for the damaged chains on my vehicle. Later that night I had a terrible dream that they took me prisoner and held me against my will for 72 hours in a poorly constructed 16x20 cabin on Elliot Ridge. The drug runners had a plantation up there, and a clearing big enough to land a helicopter. The last two chapters of the book are fictional, my dream, in thirty years I've had a lot of strange and ironic events during elk hunting, but not tragic. But it could have been when 3 men took my bull elk at gun point in 1973. They threatened me to step out of my truck. I did not provoke them, I said that "If I come out it won't be empty handed".

The Poacher’s Nightmare: Stories of an Undercover Game Warden contains dozens of hair-raising accounts of covert wildlife operations, often spanning years, requiring ingenious planning, complicated secrecy, and deft coordination. Prince infiltrated bloody-minded, wary criminal groups, winning their trust. Smart, creative, knowledgeable, tenacious, disciplined, passionate, and a natural-born actor, Prince bore a unique skillset that made him an ideal fit for this perilous undertaking. Download or read book Seeing the Light Through Black Death written by Laurence W. Trotter II and published by Trafford Publishing. This book was released on 2020-07-19 with total page 220 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The bull thought I was dead. He looked up from the shattered mess he made of my bow and arrows and stared directly into my eyes. His empty gaze pierced through me while he prepared to mount his final charge. I knew my life was over. This was the day I was going to die. Only a miracle could change that. As it turned out, that was exactly what happened. This is a true story. Not your typical outdoor exploits set in the wilderness pitting good guys against bad but rather a metamorphosis that would question virtually everything I knew about my life,—who I was, what I needed to change, and how I was supposed to live. It’s a story about redemption and working out my salvation, a story about how I seemingly had it all—a successful string of businesses, a long-term marriage, four loving children, and more friends than I could count. The only part of the equation missing was me,—my true purpose for being on this planet and a deeper relationship with God.
