Book excerpt: This book is written to encourage singles that they are to belief in themselves; they can achieve so much being single before meeting their future partner later in life. The plans God Had for everyone good and not of evil to take you to an expected end which is beautify and blossom for a good livelihood.I strongly belief I needed to introduce the Bible, my personal experience, and my position as a mentor to enlighten you to be in a relationship that would lead to the union of a family as a whole. On the face of all these as someone who was once single, got married and now a alone parent myself; I decided to look for ways to encourage married couples to stay in their marriages, singles to know what to know before getting married and lone parents to embark on entering into a new relationship since there are no two persons that are exactly the same, they may have things in common but unique. You need to read this book to appreciate the author's skills in relating part of her findings; to 'spiritual truth', (which is the Bible), her ability to conjure up appealing examples and references, her readiness to use finding and observations to stimulate the reader's curiosity and arouse their enthusiasm. Ibironke is also bang up to date. This new book not only includes valuable new material on tools to use for your relationship to work.In a world increasingly characterized by information overload, you are in ever more need of a guide to help you to love genuinely and up-hold your relationship as a single person.I am delighted once again to have the chance to recommend the 29 words that starts with letter 'P' of the alphabets, as Principles that will enhance your relationships as a single person. To relate with people is very important for the development of the family, church and relationship for a better society at large.Remember you are a complete person; 100% full of potentials, you are to team up with another person and people to achieve the goals you have set up for yourself in life. "No man is an island of his own." You cannot live in isolation you need people to communicate and relate with.People are finding it difficult to retain their relationship with people. They are afraid of their future and they do not know the type of person they will come across, and whether the person would take all what they had laboured for; over the years.Human beings are very complex, you cannot control what someone is going to say about an issue or influence how a person is going to react to situations. You would then realise that your career must not disturb your relationship with a person or people, you need to create time to work on your relationship, and make up time for your career, because before one realises time do go by so quick.I believe it is good to have a relationship with one's creator and commune with Him every day and time as this will make your path straight and peaceful, despite all the wickedness in the world nowadays. God created animals in twos because He knows the power and things that can be achieved in twos. When people are in their early twenties it is advisable to be in a steady relationship because it will help in the maturity and the growth of a person.God wants human beings to relate with each other and one another; that is the reason we are known to be social animals in sociology: relationship could be worked on to achieve a lasting friendship with a person and it is the reason sometimes friendship could last for so long. Singles are encouraged to be in a relationship to be able to work as a team in a good union. "Union is something formed by uniting two or more people or the combination." It could also be; a number of persons, states, and so on; joined or associated together for some common purpose: student union; credit union. Where there is no interaction between people they would become moody and there is always tension and fractions.Everyone need someone to work with for a better society.

Book The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work

Download or read book The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work written by John Gottman, Ph.D. and published by Harmony. This book was released on 2002-02-04 with total page 306 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Just as Masters and Johnson were pioneers in the study of human sexuality, so Dr. John Gottman has revolutionized the study of marriage. As a professor of psychology at the University of Washington and the founder and director of the Seattle Marital and Family Institute, he has studied the habits of married couples in unprecedented detail over the course of many years. His findings, and his heavily attended workshops, have already turned around thousands of faltering marriages. This book is the culmination of his life's work: the seven principles that guide couples on the path toward a harmonious and long-lasting relationship. Straightforward in their approach, yet profound in their effect, these principles teach partners new and startling strategies for making their marriage work. Gottman helps couples focus on each other, on paying attention to the small day-to-day moments that, strung together, make up the heart and soul of any relationship. Being thoughtful about ordinary matters provides spouses with a solid foundation for resolving conflict when it does occur and finding strategies for living with those issues that cannot be resolved. Packed with questionnaires and exercises whose effectiveness has been proven in Dr. Gottman's workshops, The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work is the definitive guide for anyone who wants their relationship to attain its highest potential. The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work is the result of Dr. John Gottman's many years of closely observing thousands of marriages. This kind of longitudinal research has never been done before. Based on his findings, he has culled seven principles essential to the success of any marriage. Maintain a love map. Foster fondness and admiration. Turn toward instead of away. Accept influence. Solve solvable conflicts. Cope with conflicts you can't resolve. Create shared meaning. Dr. Gottman's unique questionnaires and exercises will guide couples on the road to revitalizing their marriage, or making a strong one even better.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The picture on the front cover of this book depicts a young man pulling a fishnet, a task of practical relevance for many centuries. It is a complex task, involving load transmission throughout the body, intricate balance, and eye head-hand coordination. The quest toward understanding how we perform such tasks with skill and grace, often in the presence of unpredictable pertur bations, has a long history. However, despite a history of magnificent sculptures and drawings of the human body which vividly depict muscle ac tivity and interaction, until more recent times our state of knowledge of human movement was rather primitive. During the past century this has changed; we now have developed a considerable database regarding the com position and basic properties of muscle and nerve tissue and the basic causal relations between neural function and biomechanical movement. Over the last few decades we have also seen an increased appreciation of the impor tance of musculoskeletal biomechanics: the neuromotor system must control movement within a world governed by mechanical laws. We have now col lected quantitative data for a wealth of human movements. Our capacity to understand the data we collect has been enhanced by our continually evolving modeling capabilities and by the availability of computational power. What have we learned? This book is designed to help synthesize our current knowledge regarding the role of muscles in human movement. The study of human movement is not a mature discipline.

Book Theory and Practice in Aristotle s Natural Science

Download or read book Theory and Practice in Aristotle s Natural Science written by David Ebrey and published by Cambridge University Press. This book was released on 2015-06-11 with total page 271 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Aristotle argued that in theory one could acquire knowledge of the natural world. But he did not stop there; he put his theories into practice. This volume of new essays shows how Aristotle's natural science and philosophical theories shed light on one another. The contributors engage with both biological and non-biological scientific works and with a wide variety of theoretical works, including Physics, Generation and Corruption, On the Soul, and Posterior Analytics. The essays focus on a number of themes, including the sort of explanation provided by matter; the relationship between matter, teleology, and necessity; cosmic teleology; how an organism's soul and faculties relate to its end; how to define things such as sleep, void, and soul; and the proper way to make scientific judgments. The resulting volume offers a rich and integrated view of Aristotle's science and shows how it fits with his larger philosophical theories.
