Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Kanji Numbers are used in around Asia in everyday language, mostly in China and Japan. For those among us who like a puzzle that is a bit more challenging but do not speak the Chinese or Japanese language it is a little harder, so we posted a translation from Kanji numerals to Western numerals on the back page. Even though Sudoku seems to be a game of numbers, it really has nothing to do with numbers or math. It's a logic game. However, there are also some later variations of Sudoku in my collection that need some math to get to the solution. Currently, we offer under the logic style games only, with some variations by replacing the numbers by letters or other symbols in order to increase the fun and difficulty for the player. In this puzzle book we'll only use Kanji numbers that are printed with the vision impaired in mind. The goal of this Sudoku puzzle is to fill an entire 9x9 grid with the digits 1 to 9, while given a couple of clues. For regular Sudoku's, each digit from 1 to 9 must occur exactly once in each row, exactly once in each column, and exactly once in each 3x3 sub grid .Additional instructions for this variations book are explained inside the Sudoku variations book. This puzzle variations book will make an excellent birthday gift for yourself, spouse, friends, parents and grandparents a present during all holidays, vacations, road trips, or any time you want to relax a bit during these stressful times while excising your brain cells.

Book Building and Using Comparable Corpora

Download or read book Building and Using Comparable Corpora written by Serge Sharoff and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2013-12-13 with total page 333 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The 1990s saw a paradigm change in the use of corpus-driven methods in NLP. In the field of multilingual NLP (such as machine translation and terminology mining) this implied the use of parallel corpora. However, parallel resources are relatively scarce: many more texts are produced daily by native speakers of any given language than translated. This situation resulted in a natural drive towards the use of comparable corpora, i.e. non-parallel texts in the same domain or genre. Nevertheless, this research direction has not produced a single authoritative source suitable for researchers and students coming to the field. The proposed volume provides a reference source, identifying the state of the art in the field as well as future trends. The book is intended for specialists and students in natural language processing, machine translation and computer-assisted translation.
