Book excerpt: Weird and wacky or safe and sound? The Sokolsky Opening is both. Sometimes the play is truly deviant both sides initial few moves all on the a-b-c files and the first pieces exchanged a pair of rooks at other times 1.b4 becomes merely a roundabout route to a respectable English, Reti, King s Indian or reversed French position. This book, packed with fresh analysis and 95 illustrative games, clearly shows that White can look forward to a rewarding albeit complex or unusual struggle. There s no need to dwell on the usual platitudes applied interchangeably to unorthodox openings, like a good psychological choice to get your opponent into unfamiliar territory. The Sokolsky, otherwise known as the Orangutan or the Polish Attack, is an independent opening whose merits are due to chess analysis not psychoanalysis. 1.b4 is sound, the refutations don t work, assessments are disputed, printed theory till now has been inadequate, White s aims are clear, and the practitioners have been world class. So what are you waiting for? Get out there and hit your opponents with the b-pawn!

Book Fractional Stochastic Differential Equations

Download or read book Fractional Stochastic Differential Equations written by Abdon Atangana and published by Springer Nature. This book was released on 2022-04-22 with total page 552 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book provides a thorough conversation on the underpinnings of Covid-19 spread modelling by using stochastics nonlocal differential and integral operators with singular and non-singular kernels. The book presents the dynamic of Covid-19 spread behaviour worldwide. It is noticed that the spread dynamic followed process with nonlocal behaviours which resemble power law, fading memory, crossover and stochastic behaviours. Fractional stochastic differential equations are therefore used to model spread behaviours in different parts of the worlds. The content coverage includes brief history of Covid-19 spread worldwide from December 2019 to September 2021, followed by statistical analysis of collected data for infected, death and recovery classes.

Book Digital Design

Download or read book Digital Design written by Mohammad A. Karim and published by CRC Press. This book was released on 2017-12-19 with total page 695 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In today’s digital design environment, engineers must achieve quick turn-around time with ready accesses to circuit synthesis and simulation applications. This type of productivity relies on the principles and practices of computer aided design (CAD). Digital Design: Basic Concepts and Principles addresses the many challenging issues critical to today’s digital design practices such as hazards and logic minimization, finite-state-machine synthesis, cycles and races, and testability theories while providing hands-on experience using one of the industry’s most popular design application, Xilinx Web PACKTM. The authors begin by discussing conventional and unconventional number systems, binary coding theories, and arithmetic as well as logic functions and Boolean algebra. Building upon classic theories of digital systems, the book illustrates the importance of logic minimization using the Karnaugh map technique. It continues by discussing implementation options and examining the pros and cons of each method in addition to an assessment of tradeoffs that often accompany design practices. The book also covers testability, emphasizing that a good digital design must be easy to verify and test with the lowest cost possible. Throughout the text, the authors analyze combinational and sequential logic elements and illustrate the designs of these components in structural, hierarchical, and behavior VHDL descriptions. Coveringfundamentals and best practices, Digital Design: Basic Concepts and Principles provides you with critical knowledge of how each digital component ties together to form a system and develops the skills you need to design and simulate these digital components using modern CAD software.

Book Fractional Difference Differential Equations and Inclusions

Download or read book Fractional Difference Differential Equations and Inclusions written by Saïd Abbas and published by Elsevier. This book was released on 2024-01-16 with total page 400 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The field of fractional calculus (FC) is more than 300 years old, and it presumably stemmed from a question about a fractional-order derivative raised in communication between L'Hopital and Leibniz in the year 1695. This branch of mathematical analysis is regarded as the generalization of classical calculus, as it deals with the derivative and integral operators of fractional order. The tools of fractional calculus are found to be of great utility in improving the mathematical modeling of many natural phenomena and processes occurring in the areas of engineering, social, natural, and biomedical sciences. Fractional Difference, Differential Equations, and Inclusions: Analysis and Stability is devoted to the existence and stability (Ulam-Hyers-Rassias stability and asymptotic stability) of solutions for several classes of functional fractional difference equations and inclusions. Some equations include delay effects of finite, infinite, or state-dependent nature. Others are subject to impulsive effect which may be fixed or non-instantaneous. The tools used to establish the existence results for the proposed problems include fixed point theorems, densifiability techniques, monotone iterative technique, notions of Ulam stability, attractivity and the measure of non-compactness as well as the measure of weak noncompactness. All the abstract results are illustrated by examples in applied mathematics, engineering, biomedical, and other applied sciences. Introduces notation, definitions, and foundational concepts of fractional q-calculus Presents existence and attractivity results for a class of implicit fractional q-difference equations in Banach and Fréchet spaces Focuses on the study of a class of coupled systems of Hilfer and Hilfer-Hadamard fractional differential equations
