Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: As traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) is the gem of ancient science in China and reflects deep Chinese philosophical wisdom, Qigong that acts as the foundation and quintessence of clinical TCM can be used as another key to open the treasure bank of Chinese civilization. "In Qigong, TCM and paranormal abilities are hidden the fundamental truth of human life science. Instead of being mythical and mysterious, the three of them are closely associated with the forefront development of modern science and technology." (Qian Xuesen, a famous Chinese scientist) This book written by Prof. Pang Ming in the 1990s talks about the basic concept of Qi, the definition of Qigong, the different Qigong schools and their common features, and the significance of Qigong development. It explicates emphatically the connotations and the denotations of such concepts as Qigong, Qigong science and Zhineng Qigong science. It expounds the special features of the method, the methodology and the methodological foundation of Qigong science as well as its relationship with modern sciences. It also explores the role and the significance of Qigong science in the entire background of human culture. Additionally, it introduces Zhineng Qigong and Zhineng Qigong science and the essentials of effective Zhineng Qigong practice. Finally, it discusses the relationship between Qigong, traditional Chinese medicine and paranormal abilities. This book, as a programmatic document on Qigong and Qigong science for everyone working in the field of Zhineng Qigong and other types of Qigong (and also for people interested in Chinese culture and human life science), is worth consciously studying and mentally processing. What is talked about in this book is the common ground (laws and content) shared by different Qigong schools. It is the quintessence of qigong knowledge and the life-blood running through various schools of Qigong methods. With the deep insight acquired from this book (and from Essence of Zhineng Qigong Science), readers will understand that the diverse Qigong schools originate virtually from the same source. Under its guidance, practitioners will advantageously make continuous progress in their Qigong practice.

Book excerpt: Qigong Theory is the third book in the author's series translating and interpreting the lectures and writings of Dr. Pang Ming's innovative system of Zhineng Qigong. This remarkable book represents Hou Hee Chan's diligent interpretation of Dr. Pang Ming's lectures and book on Hun Yuan Wholistic Theory. The author has chosen to interpret and focus on the theory subjects specifically related to Qigong and has thus produced a work that is relevant to a wide-ranging audience of Qigong students, scholars and interested readers. The author notes in Chapter One that the Hun Yuan Wholistic Entity is "an entity in which physical structures and functions are merged as one." Hun Yuan Wholistic Theory "explores the Wholistic Entity's formation, characteristics, and laws that govern its changes." The Introduction and Chapter One cover a wide range of topics such as the traditional components of Qigong Theory in which human beings and Nature are considered as one entity; the substance and levels of the Universe; the characteristics of the human body as a Wholistic Entity; and Traditional Qigong's Qi Theory describing Qi's functions and changes. Further chapters deepen our awareness of Qigong concepts used to describe the nature and characteristics of the Wholistic Entity. For example, Chapter Four focuses in depth on Human Hun Yuan Qi, exploring the evolution, movement and formation of Hun Yuan Qi and its existence in the three forms of Jing, Qi and Shen.Although this book is a comprehensive explanation of Qigong Theory, the author also explains the link between Qigong Theory and Qigong Practice. As he states in Chapter Six: Conclusion: "Zhineng Qigong separates theories and practice methods into two systems. Hun Yuan Wholistic Theory is the foundation theory and explains the relationship between Nature and humans, consciousness and the physical body, and the body and functions. Hun Yuan Wholistic Theory also explains the functions of Qi that would become the foundation of the Zhineng Qigong practice."The process of evolution in Hun Yuan Wholistic Theory is described as an "upward spiral, not an enclosed circle." Human beings are in the middle of this upward spiral of evolution. Zhineng Qigong's emphasis on the mind's (Shen) function and ability to direct body functions towards a balanced state of health and wellness are a profound inspiration for an upward spiral of consciousness and evolution for humanity.

This book was released on 2017-05-24 with total page 164 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Psychology of Inner Perceptions is a new branch of psychology. It has its roots in Chinese culture, especially in Traditional Chinese Medicine. The orientation of perception of being either inward or outward marks the distinction between the methodology of existing branches of psychology and that of the Psychology of Inner Perceptions. In the former case, the investigator studies the mind of the subject based on reasoning and analyzing. The mind of the investigator orients outwardly in order to identify the problem and obtain information from the subject. In the latter case however the mind of the investigator orients inwardly, connects to the mind of the subject, and directly perceives information from the inside. Ill information gives rise to a variety of mental disorders and even physical diseases. Pinpointing and erasing it from the inside can save a lot of energy. It is significant for both the patients and psychologists. It is widely recognized that getting mental diseases is an occupational hazard in the psychology profession. In the west, many psychologists suffer from mental disturbance after working for years. Their sicknesses are not "infected" by the patients but caused by over consumption of mental energy. Pinpointing and erasing ill information from the inside is simple, direct and costs only a little energy. It can reduce the consumption of psychologists' mental energy and helps solve the big problem in the field of psychology --- the psychological crisis of the psychologists. Every point concerning Traditional Chinese Medicine in this book is illustrated based on Qi-monism Theory. Qi is the basic component of everything. The world originates from a formless matter --- qi. It evolves as qi evolves. Qi becomes increasingly complex till it reaches a critical value in terms of both complexity and subtlety. At this point, the Shen takes form. The Shen functions as the ultimate commander, while emotions, minds and characters are its subordinates. The former can either give permission to the rise of emotions or "dissolve" them when they begin to emerge. It can also change the pattern of the motion and transformation of the five Zang-organs' qi to change one's characters. Once the Shen has fully taken its role as the "True Self", one is no longer a slave of emotions, minds and characters, but their master. When the Shen permeates into an object, it can change the time-space structure of the object with the information it conveys. It may even replace the old time-space structure with a new one, or induce a new time-space structure in it. Humans are the product of the universe. That the product of the universe reflects on the universe is a reflection of the universe on itself, while the reflection of the humans on their mind is a reflection of the universe on the most advanced product of its own. When the mind starts to perceive it own self instead of speculating on the outside world, the world becomes self-aware. And when the mind withdraws into itself, the subject and the object of perceptions are unified.
