Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: I have been living in silence with pain for 14 years. Never could understand why I was treated so unfair and unjust, in the court of law, after the murder of my son. My experience in the court system, have left me staggering, I have lost my faith in the justice system. I am just a nobody trying to tell somebody, about the way I was treated, in the court of law, by high powerful people who you would look up to, for Justice To Be Served. I think my story will make a great spiritual movie, I think my story will inspire and give so much of inspiration to someone in need for someone to hear their silent cry in their voice. I think my story will make a great true crime movie along with, how to get away with murder, why the truth did not set me free? Episodes of a soap opera, I am a fan of the Young and Restless. Black on black crimes and murders. A six month job, a six month resident and a short term relationship that ended in a DNA testing landed me in a court room, a court room where I felt discrimination, I was mislead, deceived and the presence of court house scam was there. Creditably and morale values meant nothing in that court of law I was in. So, here I am, speaking out and pray that I touch someone, to help me, bring my story back into to the light with life once again. A dream I can feel about to come to reality. Oh yes, my Jesus is getting me ready to say, Justice Have Been Served.

Book Do the KIND Thing

Download or read book Do the KIND Thing written by Daniel Lubetzky and published by Ballantine Books. This book was released on 2015-03-31 with total page 304 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: For the socially conscious, the intellectually curious, or the creative soul comes an inspiring, New York Times bestselling handbook for success in business, life, and the all-important task of building a more compassionate world—by the visionary founder and CEO of KIND Healthy Snacks. When Daniel Lubetzky started KIND Healthy Snacks in 2004, he aimed to defy the conventional wisdom that snack bars could never be both tasty and healthy, convenient and wholesome. A decade later, the transformative power of the company’s “AND” philosophy has resulted in an astonishing record of achievement. KIND has become the fastest-growing purveyor of healthy snacks in the country. Meanwhile, the KIND Movement—the company’s social mission to make the world a little kinder—has sparked more than a million good deeds worldwide. In Do the KIND Thing, Lubetzky shares the revolutionary principles that have shaped KIND’s business model and led to its success, while offering an unfiltered and intensely personal look into the mind of a pioneering social entrepreneur. Inspired by his father, who survived the Holocaust thanks to the courageous kindness of strangers, Lubetzky began his career handselling a sun-dried tomato spread made collaboratively by Arabs and Jews in the war-torn Middle East. Despite early setbacks, he never lost his faith in his vision of a “not-only-for-profit” business—one that sold great products and helped to make the world a better place. While other companies let circumstances force them into choosing between two seemingly incompatible options, people at KIND say “AND.” At its core, this idea is about challenging assumptions and false compromises. It is about not settling for less and being willing to take greater risks, often financial. It is about learning to think boundlessly and critically, and choosing what at first may be the tougher path for later, greater rewards. By using illuminating anecdotes from his own career, and celebrating some past failures through the lessons learned from them, Lubetzky outlines his core tenets for building a successful business and a thriving social enterprise. He explores the value of staying true to your brand, highlights the importance of transparency and communication in the workplace, and explains why good intentions alone won’t sell products. Engaging and inspirational, Do the KIND Thing shows how the power of AND worked wonders for one company—and could empower the next generation of social entrepreneurs to improve their bottom line and change the world. Advance praise for Do the KIND Thing “An enjoyable read . . . wise advice about matters from product development to people management.”—Financial Times “By sharing the ten tenets that helped KIND grow, Daniel Lubetzky has given entrepreneurs a road map to success that includes both passion and purpose.”—Arianna Huffington, president and editor in chief, Huffington Post Media Group “Lubetzky uses the power of kindness to build purpose into his business and his community. He’s a role model for future leaders.”—Mehmet Oz, M.D., professor of surgery, Columbia University “I’ve always been a fan of the KIND brand. This engaging and inspirational book shows how coupling a social mission with creativity can spark change and empower a generation.”—Bobbi Brown, founder and CCO, Bobbi Brown Cosmetics

Now that he was eighteen, there was nothing to stop him from finding the truth! He couldn't wait to reveal his identity and to make a decision about which family he would choose! Following in his mother's footsteps, Adam chose to fabricate lies to keep his mom from interfering with his decision, and he headed west, alone! Book excerpt: A story of true drive – now the topic of a major documentary Founded in 1977 by Sir Frank Williams and Patrick Head, Williams F1 represents the last of the true independent teams; a company devoid of corporate dogma and run by enthusiasts driven by a love of racing and the satisfaction that comes with beating the rest of the world. Since its first Grand Prix victory at Silverstone on 14 July 1979, the team has won a further 116 GPs, delivered seven World Champions - among them Nigel Mansell and Damon Hill - and won nine Constructors Championships. This is the definitive history of the Williams team as told by those who have worked for Williams past and present. At the heart of the book are Sir Frank's personal recollections, along with memories and anecdotes from those at every level: from the shop floor to the upper strata of management; from the mechanics and machinists to the drivers - Mansell, Hill, Alain Prost and Alan Jones among them. It relates both the incredible highs of winning against the odds while never shying the terrible lows - the tragic deaths of Piers Courage in 1970 and Ayrton Senna in 1994 among them. Conveying the history and soul of a unique band of people, Williams F1 explains exactly why the Williams team is held in more affection than any other team in Britain, if not the world.
