Download or read book Renewed Women s Bible Study Participant Workbook with Leader Helps written by Heather M. Dixon and published by Abingdon Press. This book was released on 2020-09-01 with total page 243 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Lessons from Naomi in the Book of Ruth. Few things make us feel as helpless as living with a story we don’t like. Maybe one that involves the loss of a loved one, an unwanted transition, a difficult diagnosis, or a dream that fell through. At one time or another, we all deal with disappointments and feelings that life is unfair or that we are being punished. In Renewed, a four-week study of the Book of Ruth, women glean wisdom from Naomi’s perspective, a woman who lived a story she didn’t choose or like. Forced to chart a new path as she mourned the loss of her husband and two sons, Naomi learned that the journey from bitterness to renewed hope and joy was rooted in God’s promise of redemption. With insight from her own journey of living with a story that is not easy, Heather teaches women to flourish even as they live hard stories through a willingness to trust that God can transform them and trade their heartache for hope. They will learn to rely on God’s movement in the details of their story, even when it can’t be seen, gain confidence to act in the part of their stories that they can change, and watch expectantly for God to redeem the parts they can’t. Components for this four-week Bible study, available separately, include a Participant Workbook with Leader Helps and a DVD with four 20 to 25-minute segments (with closed captioning).
Download or read book Journeying Toward Renewal written by Melissa Bane Sevier and published by Rowman & Littlefield. This book was released on 2002-08-01 with total page 147 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: “Time to reflect. Time. This is what clergy renewal is about. To continue in ‘the heat of work’ our whole career is to rob ourselves and our congregations of the time we and they need to reflect on our lives and our call. Here is where change begins.” - Melisa Bane Sevier “Melissa Bane Sevier – fresh from (and refreshed by) a much-needed sabbatical – offers personal testimony, practical advice, and an array of helpful resources that will inspire and empower pastors to seek and then to drink deeply of a time apart. This is a moving statement from and on behalf of our hard-working clergy, written for them but also for those who care about their well-being and that of the congregations they serve.” - Dorothy C. Bass - Author, Receiving the Day: Christian Practices for Opening the Gift of Time “Vital congregational ministry depends on the leadership of pastors, priests, and rabbis whose hearts sing with vision, creativity, faith, competence, and passion. In Journeying toward Renewal Melissa Sevier uses her pastoral sensitivity to tell her own renewal story and the stories of those who have been lead in the planning and practice of renewal leave by the question “What will make my heart sing – again?” Whether you’re planning an extended time of renewal leave, or just trying to bring regular sabbath time back into your days and weeks, this book will be a trustworthy guide.” - Richard Bruesehoff - Director for Leadership Support, ELCA - Co-author of Clergy Renewal: The Alban Guide to Pastoral Sabbaticals

Download or read book Body Belief written by Aimee E. Raupp, MS, LAC and published by Hay House, Inc. This book was released on 2018-03-13 with total page 249 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Acupuncturist and herbalist Aimee Raupp, M.S., L.Ac., offers a holistic plan for healing from autoimmune disease through reconnection to yourself, renewal of your beliefs, and reawakening of your health. This book will guide you on a life-changing path to radically shift your health and love your body more. Raupp posits that the rampant rise in autoimmune illness is due to three co-existing factors: · Body disconnect (a loss of connection to the spiritual, emotional, and physical aspects of self, resulting in systemic body chaos) · Behavioral sabotage (where deep-rooted beliefs negatively dictate your behavior, which dictates your health), and · Environmental toxins (exposure to external disease-promoting elements). With warmth, sensitivity, and practicality, Raupp will help you to resurrect your full potential to happily and gracefully inhabit your body and mind. As you follow Raupp’s two-phase Body Belief diet and Body Belief lifestyle roadmap, your health will begin to thrive, both inside and out. Included are a diet plan, shopping lists, menus, meditations, mantras, and DIY and commercial suggestions for bath, beauty, and home products for self-care.

Satan has come to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus said he came that we may have life to the full. Many christians having gained heaven in the afterlife are living in hell on earth. This book will expose satan’s methodology of attack. Billions have been made tying to feed the soul. However Christians are taught little about protecting and the saving of their soul. This book brings light and revelation on Demonic oppression, depression, obsession, and possession to help pull back the veil and overcome the spiritual attack on and in our lives.

Download or read book Daily Reflections on Divine Mercy written by John Paul Thomas and published by My Catholic Life!. This book was released on 2016-03-17 with total page 390 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "Daily Reflections on Divine Mercy" was written to provide an awakening to the abundant Mercy of God. It offers daily reflections and prayers to help deepen the day-to-day faith life of every Catholic so that you can understand the abundance of Mercy poured forth from the Heart of our Savior as it is revealed in the writings of Saint Maria Faustina Kowalska. "Divine Mercy in My Soul: Diary of Saint Maria Faustina Kowalska" is soon to become a classic spiritual book that everyone is encouraged to read in their lifetime. However, many find this invitation intimidating, not just because of the width of her book, but because of the depth of its message on The Divine Mercy in each of Saint Faustina’s notebook entries. This book, "Daily Reflections on Divine Mercy," was written with the hope of guiding you through Saint Faustina’s Diary and her six notebooks of reflections. It can be used on its own to help you pause and reflect on the beauty of Jesus’ messages to her, or as a companion book, as you simultaneously read Saint Faustina’s Diary. "Daily Reflections on Divine Mercy" offers 365 daily teachings, reflections and prayers based upon the pages of Saint Faustina’s Diary. The structured way to use this daily reflection book is to do just that…reflect upon one page each day. However, some may feel called to skip around a bit, read a few reflections at a time, or return to a particular reflection through which God spoke to you. Therefore, though this book was written with the intent of providing one reflection for each day of the year, the best way to use it is any way you feel called and the way that benefits your relationship with God the most. The first paragraph for each day offers this author’s insights to the words and teachings of Saint Faustina. The section of her Diary used for the day’s teaching is marked so that the reader can also read her Diary first hand so as to see the primary source that the author of this book took inspiration from for that day’s reflection. Though the primary text of the Diary is never quoted, nor are the reflections of this book exact representations of the Diary, they do provide the foundational basis for the spiritual message shared in each reflection. The second paragraph for each day offers a short reflection put more as a question to the reader. It offers the same insight in a different format so as to enter more deeply into the message of the day. Finally, each daily reflection ends with a prayer focused upon the message and reflection for that day. The reader is encouraged to pray this prayer several times. Ideally, it is prayed first thing in the morning, again during the day, and again at night as an examination on how well the daily message was received. As you seek to survive the world we live in, allow these pages to be a font of Mercy for you from God. Allow God’s Divine Mercy to penetrate your heart so that you will know the abundance of His love and be more prepared to share that love with others.
