Download or read book Watch and Pray written by Prof. Kofi A. Amoateng and published by Xlibris Corporation. This book was released on 2019-01-15 with total page 201 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: What is in Watch and Pray: Volume 2? It critically lays out end-time baits and schemes of the enemy and his team to steal, kill, and send millions to hell. These include tattoos, carnal Christmas (Paradox of Christmas), false anointing, deception, false messengers, fake grace, apostasy, and worldly desires (1 John 2:16). Today, deception is so deep that it becomes difficult to trust those closer to you and to discern the right from almost right. Satan and his demons have transformed themselves into wolves among the sheep in the church everywhere, devouring them. He comes to us in camouflage to steal, kill, and destroy. Do not become his victims. We have to walk circumspectly and not as fools in Satan’s world (Ephesians 5:15–16). Many, including believers, remain carnal and blinded to the devil’s trick and are paying with their bodies and lives. The rest of this book discusses spiritual weapons and strategies at the believers’ disposal. They include spiritual connectedness with the Lord, fasted lifestyles, praise and worship, prayer, and God’s love. The kingdom of darkness is getting bolder as we approach end-times, so Christians must get bolder by drawing near to God in order to resist the enemy. The flight to heaven does not come cheap but requires vigilance and sobriety in prayers and watchfulness. Responsible evangelism does not end at leading the lost to Christ but goes further to warn those saved to take heed against false doctrines and teachings. Many false teachers and preachers are increasingly using prosperity and health messages along to trick and trap millions to hell. It is my hope that everyone who reads this book will be saved and come to know the Lord well. Anyone who reads this book will find his/her own life stories in it. May God use this book to draw all of us to himself and teach us how to discern the right from error. Pray to him and pray for all lives.

Book The King Arthur Myth in Modern American Literature

Download or read book The King Arthur Myth in Modern American Literature written by Andrew E. Mathis and published by McFarland. This book was released on 2001-11-16 with total page 416 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In American fiction, two forms of the Arthurian myth are commonly found: the use of the myth for political reasons, and the use of the myth for the continuation of an aesthetic tradition that can be traced back to the earliest use of the Arthurian cycle by writers in the British Isles. This work traces the use of the legend from Mark Twain's A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court to Donald Barthelme's novel The King. It discusses how Twain used the myth to take a stand against England, how it served cultural and aesthetic purposes in John Steinbeck's writing, how Raymond Chandler used it in complex texts with less obvious Arthurian allusions that carried strong cultural and even political associations, how John Gardner used aspects of the myth to embellish already existing narrative structures and to underscore philosophic debates, and how Donald Barthelme suggests the continuing interest of American writers in the Arthurian legend today in his novels. Also discussed is the effect of World War II on American literature and the Arthurian myth and the Camelot image surrounding the Kennedys.

Book America s Demise Antichrist s Rise

Download or read book America s Demise Antichrist s Rise written by Thomas G. Reed and published by Christian Faith Publishing, Inc.. This book was released on 2021-11-02 with total page 312 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Are you aware that the current events shaping our world reflect apocalyptic biblical predictions? It's clear that the end of time is near. This book is a wake-up call for Christians and American patriots who can no longer afford to shrug and hope for the best. The strong foundation of Judeo-Christian values that built our great country has crumbled to the ground in the face of humanism and liberal progressivism. America's demise parallels the demise of mankind as a whole. How have we reached this state of crisis? We explore the death grip that humanism has on America and the ultimate fate of all the world's citizens. We examine both the source of sin and the path toward holiness, including death to the old self and resurrection of the new. It is essential to heed the warnings found in God's Word, warnings which become increasingly relevant as the Great Tribulation draws near. With a detailed evaluation of the Scriptures, we identify the timeline of the Tribulation, Rapture, return of Jesus Christ, and the thousand-year millennium. Realizing that the Rapture will not take place prior to the Tribulation, we must accept the Tribulation when it begins and recognize its ramifications or risk being deceived by Satan and the Antichrist. As the Tribulation defines our end, so does it offer an opportunity for a new beginning if we can achieve perfection through our Lord. While cataclysmic occurrences may be imminent, devoted Christians can also expect wondrous rewards both here and now and for all eternity.

Book Defending God

    Book Details:
  • Author : James L. Crenshaw
  • Publisher : Oxford University Press
  • Release : 2005-04-21
  • ISBN : 9780198032083
  • Pages : 288 pages

Download or read book Defending God written by James L. Crenshaw and published by Oxford University Press. This book was released on 2005-04-21 with total page 288 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In the ancient Near East, when the gods detected gross impropriety in their ranks, they subjected their own to trial. When mortals suspect their gods of wrongdoing, do they have the right to put them on trial? What lies behind the human endeavor to impose moral standards of behavior on the gods? Is this effort an act of arrogance, as Kant suggested, or a means of keeping theological discourse honest? It is this question James Crenshaw seeks to address in this wide-ranging study of ancient theodicies. Crenshaw has been writing about and pondering the issue of theodicy - the human effort to justify the ways of the gods or God - for many years. In this volume he presents a synthesis of his ideas on this perennially thorny issue. The result sheds new light on the history of the human struggle with this intractable problem.

Book The End of Time

  • Author : Rick McGee
  • Publisher : Christian Faith Publishing, Inc.

  • ISBN : 1641400587
  • Pages : 214 pages

Download or read book The End of Time written by Rick McGee and published by Christian Faith Publishing, Inc.. This book was released on 2018-03-29 with total page 214 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: There is an alarming amount of misinformation concerning the most climactic event in all of human history-the imminent return of Jesus Christ to the earth. As Christians become more and more biblically illiterate with each passing generation, they are particularly susceptible to false teaching concerning the second coming of Christ, and yes, it does matter what you believe! Speaking of false teachers, the apostle Peter wrote, "They will secretly introduce destructive heresies...Many will follow their shameful ways and will bring the way of truth into disrepute. In their greed these teachers will exploit you with stories they have made up" (2 Peter 2:1b-3a). In just the past one hundred years, many American Christians have been falsely led to believe they will be "raptured out," removed by Jesus Christ from this world before his Second Coming or serious tribulation occurs. This flies in the face of the fact that Christians are already enduring torture and are being martyred on a grand scale in many other countries, particularly by radical Muslims. This book, The End of Time, takes an in-depth look into the truths found within the Bible concerning the End Times-truths that have been obviously distorted. Lucifer began distorting the words of God in the Garden of Eden. An unprepared mankind was deceived, and Paradise was lost. The very same Tempter continues to distort the truth concerning the return of Jesus Christ within the walls of the church to this day! Once again, millions of unprepared Christians will be caught off-guard by the manner of the Lord's return in the same way the nation of Israel was taken by surprise at his first arrival in Bethlehem. A rapture and vindication of faithful believers will indeed occur, but will coincide with Christ's return to earth, as the Scriptures clearly indicate. The Lord will then judge this fallen world, reward the faithful, and paradise will be restored. Comparing Scripture with Scripture, the Old Testament with the New Testament, the truths we need to understand concerning the approaching end of time as we know it can be grasped.

Book Wake the Bride

    Book Details:
  • Author : Jeff Kinley
  • Publisher : Harvest House Publishers
  • Release : 2015-10-01
  • ISBN : 0736965173
  • Pages : 226 pages

Download or read book Wake the Bride written by Jeff Kinley and published by Harvest House Publishers. This book was released on 2015-10-01 with total page 226 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Jeff Kinley wrote this innovative guide to the book of Revelation for the same reason the apostle John wrote the original—to arouse a sleeping church to prepare for Christ's return. Jesus said, "Wake up and strengthen the things that remain." The apostle Paul shared the same concern. "Wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed." Many people are unaware of the signs of the times. Many others seem consumed by end-times hype. Kinley shows that our primary concern should not be the timing of Christ's return but rather the spirit and character He desires in His bride. You'll find enlightening descriptions of Jesus and His coming, the church and its mission, heaven and judgment, Satan and the antichrist, and other themes of Revelation. Bolster your confidence and conviction with this up-to-date presentation of Christ's clear message to the church.
