Book WORSHIPPING IN SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH

Download or read book WORSHIPPING IN SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH written by GODSWORD GODSWILL ONU and published by Lulu.com. This book was released on 2015-03-10 with total page 195 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Word of God says, "God is Spirit and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and Truth" (Jn 4:24). To worship in spirit (or in Spirit) is to worship with your heart or human spirit (or to worship according to the Holy Spirit). This is opposed to worshipping in the flesh and according to the senses, as in the Old Testament. And you have to worship in Truth. To worship in Truth is to worship according to the Word of God. When you live in sin and say that you are praising and worshiping God, you are foolish: God has millions (or billions) of angels who worship and praise Him; and there are millions (or billions) of human beings who worship and praise God. If you live in disobedience to the Word of God that you know, even if you sing songs, and worship five hours everyday, you will still end in Hell Fire, unless you repent of your sin(s). Worship in spirit and Truth!

Book excerpt: What is the nature of true worship? What are we actaully doing when we meet together for 'church' on Sundays? And how does that connect with what we do the rest of the week? Vaughan Roberts answers these questions and more, as he brings readers back to the Bible in order to define what worship is and isn't, and what it should and shouldn't be. While we may struggle to define worship by arguing about singing hymns with the organ, versus modern songs with guitars and drums, or about the place of certain spiritual gifts, Roberts suggests we are asking the wrong questions. For true worship is more than this - it is to encompass the whole of life. This book challenges us to worship God every day of the week, with all our heart, mind, soul and strength.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: What does it mean to enter the presence of Jesus? Can people today do this or only biblical characters? In this classic book, Joseph Carroll shows us what it means to truly come into Jesus’ presence. There is so much more to truly worshiping Jesus than church services and personal devotions. True worship requires complete commitment of emotions, intellect, and will—and our reward is great. Carroll directs us into the presence of Christ by drawing on Scripture, especially the book of Revelation, and by giving practical steps of personal worship. The experiences of some of history’s greatest saints also serve as relatable examples of true worship. This deeply practical and personal book will help us know Jesus more intimately on a daily basis. It will help us draw close to Christ, to experience His presence, and to worship Him in ways far better than what most of us imagine to be possible.

So why do we treat it as only what is sung or played in church on Sunday morning? Pastor John MacArthur leads you through Scripture texts about true worship. You will learn that worship is any essential expression of service rendered unto God by a soul that loves and extols Him for who He is. Worship is the nonstop role of believers, not merely part of a church service. So get ready to alter your priorities, aiming higher than entertaining worshipers on Sunday mornings. Worship shows that your ultimate priority must always be to worship the true and living God, with a radically different type of living.

Book Worship in Spirit and in Truth

Download or read book Worship in Spirit and in Truth written by Bode Ososami and published by Bode Ososami. This book was released on 2008-12 with total page 217 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Bode's new book offers fresh, bold and uncommon frankness in reexamining our approach to Worship. It presents no-nonsense truths only for those unafraid to confront the status quo on biblical worship. It has a chapter especially on how musical entertainment, described by Leonard Ravenhill as "The joy of the devil", has played the role of the "Trojan Horse" to wreak havoc in the Worship service. This book also explains current leadership trends in the United States and how new tolerance on spiritual matters gradually prepared the ground for what is now inevitably mirrored as unforeseen and shocking decay on the social scene. The way back is not just to plead the undisputable truths that "Abortion is Murder" or " ...no sodomites of the sons of Israel" as these are "forever settled" issues not requiring our special advocacy, but moreso to cleanse His House and return back to God in all spheres. We can then enjoy partnering with God as we watch Him win His battles. It is written in 5 parts. Parts I to 4 are teachings to reestablish the Biblical meaning of worship and cover topics such as Who and what are we to worship? What is Worship? Who are to Worship in His Presence? Why Worship? Important Themes and expressions of Heavenly Worship;Breakthrough in Worship. Part 5 describes modern trends in entertainment/ music forms and styles introduced into worship and how they complement the current subtle deviations from divine patterns and God given doctrines. The book concludes on a call back to God and includes a Personal and Group Study Guide for individuals, churches, worship leaders and Group Learning. Bode is also author of "Wealth out of Ashes" - a Biblical commentary and response to the current Global Economic Crises for those seeking a different angle.

Book Trusting God s Timing

    Book Details:
  • Author : Steven Stoffelsen
  • Publisher : Word Alive Press
  • Release : 2017-01-17
  • ISBN : 1486614019
  • Pages : 171 pages

Download or read book Trusting God s Timing written by Steven Stoffelsen and published by Word Alive Press. This book was released on 2017-01-17 with total page 171 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Many times Christians excitedly receive a promise or vision from God. From that moment forward, they want to tell the whole world what God is going to do in and through them. It’s so exciting to have a promise from God. The Bible says, “Where there is no vision, the people perish” (Proverbs 29:18). But when God gives us a promise or vision, it takes time to see it fulfilled. Rarely is the vision for tomorrow or even the next year. It’s for a certain time set by God. He shows it to you early, but He still wants to prepare you for the journey ahead. Many Christians get discouraged during this process and walk away from God. But so many people in the Bible—like Abraham, Joseph, and David—had to go through years of preparation before they saw their visions fulfilled. They waited a long time, probably longer than most of us. Be encouraged and don’t let a thing called time destroy you before you even start. God is for you, and what He’s promised He will bring to pass.

Book Worship God in Spirit and in Truth

Download or read book Worship God in Spirit and in Truth written by Tom Haeg and published by CreateSpace. This book was released on 2011-01-12 with total page 64 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book explores what it means to worship God in Spirit and in Truth. The Scriptures teach that God seeks those who will worship Him in Spirit and in Truth. The greatest act a Christian can do is to worship God in Spirit and in Truth. All endeavors for God must begin here. The Scriptures teach us that God seeks three things: 1.Those who will worship Him in Spirit and in Truth. (John 4:23) 2.Glory (John 8:50) 3.The lost (Luke 19:10) In Heaven there is continuous worship in the atmosphere of God's Glory. Worshiping God in His Spirit and in His Truth brings His manifest Presence and His Glory, because God lives in the praise and worship of His people. His manifest Presence and Glory, brings His Kingdom to earth as in Heaven. When His Kingdom comes to earth as in Heaven, His will is done and the work of the devil is destroyed; the devil must stand down, stand back and depart.

Book Worshiping God in Spirit and in Truth

Download or read book Worshiping God in Spirit and in Truth written by Jennifer Campbell and published by . This book was released on 2020-11 with total page pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Bowing down, raising hands, singing praises-there are innumerable forms of worship throughout the world. Some groups worship on certain days of the week or during particular months of the year. There are people who believe they should only worship in a certain location and those who feel they have the freedom to worship anywhere in the world. While many individuals take worship extremely seriously, others are quite lackadaisical in their approach to worship. The most important question concerning worship, however, is not how you worship, when you worship, or where you worship. The vital question surrounding worship is distinctly, "Who do you worship?"God is the only One we should worship. The time to worship Him is now. Jesus said, "'The time is coming-indeed it's here now-when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. The Father is looking for those who will worship him that way'" (John 4:23). God is seeking individuals who will glorify Him through everything they do. Worship is not a spectator sport. Worship is a way of life. Our purpose on this earth is to bring glory to our Creator as we worship Him in spirit and in truth!
