Jims collection, many pieces of which are signed and dated, reflects an iron chronicle of the Pennsylvania Dutch migration westward from the Philadelphia area.

While unfortunate, the absence of these images does not greatly hinder one's ability to understand the techniques being detailed. There is no doubt that Hand-Forging and Wrought-Iron Ornamental Work would be a valuable addition to the library of any ironworker. The text is clear, concise, and relevant, and the book is presented in a logical style that progresses naturally.
