Book Willing My Way Back

Download or read book Willing My Way Back written by Christine Emmerich and published by Xlibris Corporation. This book was released on 2005-06-02 with total page 77 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: After two years of gathering essential information from my family, friends, speech therapist and others, I was finally able to piece together a puzzle of a few confusing months in my life. I only remembered bits and pieces of what happened. I needed the support and recollection of my loved ones to help me better understand it, in order to allow myself closure on such a tragic ordeal. In some ways, I could relate my experience to Humpty Dumpty, as if I had fallen, broken apart and needed help being put back together again. Willing My Way Back is a non-fiction story based on my experiences of enduring brain surgery, in my early 20s, and the full recovery process as I understood it as well as how others observed it through their own eyes. Willing My Way Back has received compliments from individuals who have already had the opportunity to read it. Some examples include "inspirational", "easy to read", "flows smoothly", "should be a resource available at the hospital for parents to read", and "I learned a lot about you". I too have learned a lot about myself throughout the past two years including accomplishments I never imagined I would complete, such as writing this book. I look forward to fulfilling more noteworthy accomplishments throughout my life and I hope others will appreciate them as much as they have appreciated the written words of Willing My Way Back.

Book On My Way Back to You

Download or read book On My Way Back to You written by Sarah Cart and published by Simon and Schuster. This book was released on 2024-04-02 with total page 308 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Sarah Cart’s On My Way Back to You is a first-hand account of the rollercoaster world of lifesaving transplants and the unimaginable challenges Sarah faced as she struggled to manage her husband’s devastating illness and to save his life, their marriage, and her own sanity. Throughout her 42-year marriage, writer Sarah Cart has enjoyed a life of “gloriously controlled chaos,” as she and her husband Ben, a successful entrepreneur and seasoned outdoorsman, embarked on numerous adventures with their four active sons. Then the unthinkable happened. In suspenseful and heartrending detail, Cart shares how Ben developed an incurable autoimmune condition that was manageable and under control one minute and threatened to kill him the next, landing him in the ICU as the Covid pandemic closed the world down. Thrust into the role of nurse and caregiver, Sarah joined the ranks of 39 million Americans who champion and care for an ailing loved one. In addition to confronting doubts, fears, and endless setbacks, aggravations, and red tape, she also had to consent to daunting procedures on Ben’s behalf. Too, there were the months-long Covid-era restrictions on hospital visitations and the post-surgery snafus with home healthcare personnel. Thank goodness for the heartfelt communiques with family and friends, all of which reflect the faith, fortitude, grit, and grace that sustained her. While readers will identify with Sarah’s anxieties and be moved by hers and Ben’s strength, they will also learn the questions to ask, the notes to take, the signs to never overlook, and the self-care necessary should they ever find themselves in her shoes. On My Way Back to You is a profoundly inspirational account of one couple’s medical odyssey and the patience, determination, and love that ultimately helped them find their way back to one another.

Book Working My Way Back to Me

Download or read book Working My Way Back to Me written by April Kirkwood and published by Boudoir Press. This book was released on 2018-09 with total page 156 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: When money got tight, as it often did, I fantasized, again, about the life of a rock star's wife. A fit of sadness over some slight at school, work or home, made me remember not the chill of being sent away, but the warmth of being in Frankie's arms. It wasn't sexual, or at least only partly so. It was about life: the one I had, versus the one I thought I wanted. Or at least occasionally thought I wanted. It was about adventure. It was about self-esteem. It was, again, about hope, the hope that I, April Gatta, the little country girl from the little rural town, would face the world as Somebody Special.

While Franz dreams about marrying a red-headed girl, Jake yearns for his family. When a farmer tells them about Roosevelt's Conservation Corps camps set up to help young men like themselves, they head to California and join up.

Book My Money My Way

Download or read book My Money My Way written by Kumiko Love and published by Penguin. This book was released on 2022-02-01 with total page 241 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Does fear and insecurity keep you from looking at your bank account? Is your financial anxiety holding you captive? You don’t have to stress about money anymore. YOU can take back control. As a newly divorced single mom making $24,000 per year and facing down $77,000 in debt, Kumiko Love worried constantly about money. She saw what other moms had—vacations, birthday parties, a house full of furniture—and felt ashamed that she and her son lived in a small apartment and ate dinner on the floor. Worse, when her feelings began to exhaust her, she binge-shopped, reasoning that she’d feel better after a trip to the mall. On the day she needed to pay for a McDonald’s ice cream cone without her credit card, she had an epiphany: Money is not the problem. Self-Doubt is the problem. Shame is the problem. Guilt is the problem. Society’s expectations for her are the problem. She is the solution. Once she reversed the negative thinking patterns pushing her toward decisions that didn’t serve her values or goals, her financial plan wrote itself. Now, she’s not only living debt-free in her dream home, which she paid for in cash, but she has spread her teachings around the world and helped countless women envision better lives for themselves and their families. Now, building on the lessons she’s taught millions as the founder of The Budget Mom, she shares a step by step plan for taking control back over your financial life—regardless of your level of income or your credit card balance. Through stories from navigating divorce to helping clients thrive through recessions, depression, eviction, layoffs and so much more, you will learn foundational practices such as: How to use your emotions to your financial advantage, instead of letting them control you How to create a budget based on your real life, not a life of self-denial How to create a motivating debt pay-off plan that makes you excited about your future, instead of fearing it My Money My Way will give you the tools to align your emotional health with your financial health—to let go of deprivation and embrace desire. Love’s paradigm-shifting system will teach you how to honor your unique personal values, driving emotions, and particular needs so that you can stop worrying about money and start living a financially fulfilled life.

Book Export Assistance The Way Back and Forward

Download or read book Export Assistance The Way Back and Forward written by Anisur R. Faroque and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2011-09-15 with total page 84 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: “Born global” (BG) firms have attracted many researchers throughout the last decade. The emergence of this phenomenon initially posed a serious challenge to the validity and applicability of the traditional “stage” theory of internationalization; however, scholars have more recently been able to reconcile traditional and new theories into a single framework for studying the process of internationalization. This volume applies both network theory and knowledge-based theory to analyze export assistance in the context of internationalization of low-tech BG firms in developing countries (with an in-depth study of the apparel industry in Bangladesh). The findings that non-governmental network partners provide more useful advice than government agencies is one that may resonate through other countries, including developed economies. Government’s more useful role is confined to the financial support and incentives that are provided to such firms. It is, however, the commitment to exporting that emerges as critical for performance, more so than export strategy, suggesting that enhanced export performance is to attract, reassure and motivate entrepreneurs in ways that strengthen their commitment to international expansion.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: One of the greatest lessons we can ever learn in our walk with Jesus is to trust in Him, knowing that He will help us overcome any obstacle that stands before us and knowing that whatever happens in our lives, the greatest pains and tragic events we could ever experience, He will always be right there with us, walking right beside us, giving us that assurance that we are not alone. Once we realize that Jesus is with us through it all, even in the darkest of times, peace will fill our hearts and minds that was never there before. There is nothing He cannot do, and there is everything we cannot do without Him. He is our purpose, our hope, and our reason for existence. When we finally see that and believe in that, His love will surround us, live within us, and flow through us so that others will too see His light and experience His love.
