Keep your fears to yourself, but share your courage with others. Never put the key to your happiness in someone else's pocket. Quantity is what you count; quality is what you count on. Very few burdens are heavy if everyone lifts. These are just a few of the quotations that I have included in this book. It is a culmination of over four decades of gathering quotes and sayings, noticing church and marquee signs and bumper stickers and, most recently, researching on the Internet. In the preface for this book, I went through and listed quotes that meant a lot to me, but as I look back, I realize that they all mean something to me. I hope that you can use them for motivation, reflection, and inspiration.

Book Keep praying god is listening

Download or read book Keep praying god is listening written by Kritika Khetarpal Malik and published by OrangeBooks Publication. This book was released on 2022-11-18 with total page 73 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Being very much part of this material world , i find solace , comfort , peace with God. this book is about prayers ,Prayer is communicating with God as you would with a friend, parent , partner or with a sibling.God doesn't require us to come to Him with large words or fancy language. He longs to hear what our heart desires, our worries and what we’re thankful for. The best part of building a bond with god is absence of judgment.. you can be yourself ..nothing is hidden from him.. he knows exactly how you are feeling .. when no body understands . He knows the causes, the reasons, the things that brought you to this point. He understands because he made you, and he sees the hurt in your heart like nobody else can. No human being has this ability "And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith. for all my worldly needs I only pray to God because asking from humans only brings disappointment, but praying to God gets my material and worldly desires fulfilled. I got connected to guru Nanak Dev ji , through my grandmother (dadi ma) . It was my daily evening ritual during my teenage days to go to my grandmother while she was doing paath . It was through Gurbani and katha , I understood the preaching of Gurunank dev ji and power of Ardas ( prayers).Just as dirt is washed by soap , in the same way man’s evil thoughts may be washed by prayer and meditation . Sinners have turned into saints through prayer. God is the helper of the helpless , the strength of the weak , the supporter of the fallen . As a human being We all make mistakes, we all slip up and make mistakes and that too on a daily basis. But no matter the storms you are facing , no matter your past God loves you and his love is perfect.I am writing this book while going through my toughest phase of life .. through this book I am encouraging my self and hoping to encourage millions of people to not loose patience and hope . While we may not like the hard circumstances we are stuck in we can have hope. A day will come when there will be no more tears and no more pain . It’s a small nudge to have faith in power of prayers and God . God answers our prayer in four ways:- the first is “Yes”. We ask for something; we pray to God, and he says, “Yes, my child. Here it is; I give you what you asked for.” The second is “No”. For a good reason God tells us, “No my child, I will not grant your prayer.” The third is “Wait”. It is as if God tells us that the time is not right for us to receive what we want. So, he tells us, “Wait. The time is not yet.” The fourth is, “Here is something better.” We have asked for one thing, but he grants us something else and says, “Here is something different, something better that I want to give you.” So keep praying, because He hears you. God’s listening right now, and He’ll still be listening tomorrow. . “One of the main reasons that we lose our enthusiasm is because we become ungrateful, we let what was once a miracle become common to us.” "When God is our strength, we begin to not only see miracles in the lives of others, but in our lives as well." E'yen A Gardner, Chosen One. Sending my love, light and healing energy through this book .

Book Texting Faith Hope and Love

Download or read book Texting Faith Hope and Love written by JoAnn Willoughby Hays and published by Covenant Books, Inc.. This book was released on 2023-05-22 with total page 133 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: I started writing down favorite scriptures, quotes, and sayings in fifth or sixth grade. I taught children's Bible classes for 42 years and public school classes for 29 years and I always found a way to use many of the quotes and sayings in all my classes. I still get excited when I see a great quote in a book or magazine, or even on a T-shirt. I have four grandchildren I adore, and I don't get to see them as often as I did when they were children, or during the pandemic. Cale is a graduate of Oklahoma Christian University and is busy with his career. Mackenzie will be a senior at the University of Oklahoma. Tate is a newlywed and is attending the Oklahoma State University's Fire Academy to become a firefighter, and our youngest, Danny, is a 6'4" basketball player who will be a junior at Edmond Memorial High School. I found a quote a few years ago from the gymnast, Gabby Douglas. She said, "By now, you've probably caught on to something: my mother is always standing by with just the right scripture or inspirational saying to get me through any tough situation." I was so blessed to have my grandchildren living in the same town when they were growing up and all four of them were in my sixth grade Sunday school class. I think all of us who are grandmothers want to be like Timothy's grandmother, Lois. I read Gabby's quote and realized how important that was to her. I can't stand by my grandchildren, but I thought I can text scriptures and quotes to them. Also, Corrie ten Boom's book, The Hiding Place came out when my girls were babies. I read it during their nap times. I also watched as many of her interviews as I could. She and her family were Christians in Holland and hid hundreds of Jews being smuggled to safety in a secret hiding place in their combination home and watch and clock repair store. Her entire family was caught by the Nazis and sent to concentration camps. They weren't allowed Bibles, so they taught people using the scriptures they had memorized. I heard her tell a story of finding a broken piece of pencil and writing scriptures down on little scraps of paper and giving them to people to give them hope. That inspired me to memorize more scriptures, so I could always have a Bible close to me. I started texting scriptures and different quotes to my grandkids group once or twice a week. I prayed that this would keep them in the Word and remind them their words and actions need to glorify God. One night I needed to send a new text and it took me about thirty minutes to write one and send it. I remember thinking I wish I could go online or go to Mardel's store to find a book that had the type of devotionals I wanted. My next thought was why don't I write one. I'm retired and I already have over thirty devotionals finished. I could just add about a hundred more and I would have a book of devotionals. I said a prayer and started compiling my devotion "lesson plan" book the next day.

Book GAMBLING My Ordeal And Past Experience

Download or read book GAMBLING My Ordeal And Past Experience written by T C Wanyanwu and published by T. C. Wanyanwu . This book was released on with total page 119 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Are you aware that Gambling is not a handiwork, not a talent, not a skill, Gambling is a fake potential and Gambling is not for a Christian? Are you or a loved one battling with a gambling problem? Are you ready to learn how you can get back up when life knocks you down completely due to gambling addiction? Have you really encountered difficulty in overcoming the urge to gamble? Discover the causes, warning signs and symptoms and learn how to stop. Gambling is one of the ploys of the wicked one to entangle end-time youth with quick money syndrome. This book presents a concise, yet detailed summary of the major lessons I’ve learned over the last few years fighting and conquering the spirit behind gambling menace. It's a journey that started since the year 2014 when I was in college at Mahatma Gandhi University, India. It is on record that nearly four in ten Nigerians (36%) gamble regularly, with up to 60 million Nigerians between the ages of 18 and 40 involved in daily sports betting, and they spend an average of 3,000 Naira every day on betting platforms. The current size of the market is estimated to be $60 million. It is also on record that approximately 10 million people in the U.S. have a gambling problem, so you are not alone. It’s important to understand your motive for gambling and avoid gambling temptations and triggers. The main reason why most people like to gamble is to make quick and easy money. Gambling by nature appeals to greed, and greed doesn’t please God. Jesus condemned greed and mentioned it in lists of some very “ugly” sin (Mark 7:21-23). The Bible warns us that greed is destructive to our Christian lives (Ephesians 5:3). Note that money itself isn’t evil, but being overeager to get a lot of it is dangerous. The desires that want to get more of what this world has to offer are actually the kinds of desires we’re following when we choose to gamble. Remember, worldliness and Godliness is in enmity. How would you respond to someone who argues they only do a little gambling (e.g.., Bet9ja or other sports betting) for fun, and they don’t care if they win? Gambling in any form is highly addictive; for greed has the potential to master us and also to change our priorities from God to self. The whole point of Gambling is winning money; without that goal it has no purpose. It is dangerous to even get a little involved in an activity that can lead to greed, debt, stealing, lying, and even spiritual ruin. THROUGH THIS BOOK, YOU ARE SURE TO GAIN: ● A better understanding of how to deal with the temptation and overpowering the urge associated with gambling. ● Practical steps on how to stop gambling. ● The ability to develop a positive lifestyle as alternative to gambling ● Knowledge of the dangers of gambling as a lifestyle of the 21st century youth, the root causes and symptoms, consequences and how to discontinue. I promise that if you follow the step-by-step guidelines stipulated in this book, you will experience a significant improvement in your battle against gambling problem. I am certain of your quick recovery because the approach will surely work for you whether you’re a national or foreigner, teenager, youth or adult, male or female gambler. This book is highly recommended for all especially anyone that have not been involved in gambling before but have the intentions to start gambling someday. “Show me a gambler and I will show you a loser”. It is useful to all individual. Read & Share! Knowledge Liberates!
