Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Words that Empower IX has been a labor of love over many years. It is wisdom from around the globe, from many ages, philosophies, thoughts on life, spirituality and poetry. Perhaps you have never heard of some of these voices such as Rumi, also known as Jalāl ad-Dīn Muhammad Balkhī, Mawlānā/Mevlânâ, and more popularly simply as Rumi, was a 13th-century Persian poet, jurist, Islamic scholar, theologian, and Sufi mystic. Lao Tsu, Laozi was an ancient Chinese philosopher and writer. He is known as the reputed author of the Tao Te Ching and the founder of philosophical Taoism, and as a deity in religious Taoism and traditional Chinese religions. Born: 605 BC, China. Or closer to home, Black Elk; Heȟáka Sápa was a famous wičháša wakȟáŋ and heyoka of the Oglala Lakota who lived in the present-day United States, primarily South Dakota. He was a second cousin of the war chief Crazy Horse. You will also discover the wisdom of Buddha, Mother Theresa, Confucius and what I have learned upon the journey of a life time. Whatever your belief system, you will find that across time all philosophies speak a common language, echoing from many voices and perspectives. There may be no absolutes in life, but Truths hold firm and true. I sum it up this way: You Are An Unending Horizon. You are part and parcel of All that Is and above all, you are an expression of perfect love, here and now. Many of us feel as though we have to earn love, acceptance. Untrue. Who and what your are at your essential level, your Spirit, is perfect, whole and unique. Trust yourself, trust your life. We are here for experiences and to love. That’s it. Kate

Book Worrier to Warrior Conquer Anxiety and Panic Attacks

Download or read book Worrier to Warrior Conquer Anxiety and Panic Attacks written by Kate Ellis, ccht and published by Kate Ellis ~ The Healing Quest Publishing. This book was released on 2014-11-01 with total page 178 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Worrier to Warrior, a step by step kit to correct anxiety and panic attacks is different from other books and programs available. It is a ‘how to’ or ‘do it yourself’’ program that will enable you to understand what is occurring, insight to how the anxiety/panic attacks got started and ultimately, how to end the vicious cycle, which you may have found out only gets worse, manifesting as a panic attack and spiraling down into what is called an anxiety dis-order where your life becomes severely limited. In over 24 years in private practice, I have created a protocol that corrects anxiety and panic attacks in three sessions. If you follow the program precisely, use the tools within the kit, pay attention to all the specific details I point out, you will be completely successful and never have a full blown panic attack again, and manage anxieties as they occur over a life time. You will learn that it is your thinking that flips the “on” switch to the fight or flight or freeze response, which is your survival mechanism gone awry. You do not need to agree with everything I say, philosophies. Such as I will state you are a mind, body, spirit… if you take exception to the word ‘spirit’, which is energy… change the word to; ‘an electrical feedback system’. Do pay close attention to words and language you are personally using, because they are either empowering you or disempowering you, period. I will ask you to be the mind or thought police for a period of time, to recognized how you are repeatedly programming yourself opposite of your desires and desired experiences in life, from solace to life success, or as the title implies; Worrier to Warrior. Understand this clearly, you are not broken, it is simply a kink in your thinking process, and being YOU are the one choosing what thoughts to focus upon, you can change the thoughts that create the cycle of anxieties, and what is setting off panic attacks. You are an unending horizon, be prepared to change the rest of your life and how you experience it. Download or read book Moral Resilience written by Cynda Hylton Rushton and published by Oxford University Press. This book was released on 2018-10-02 with total page 321 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Suffering is an unavoidable reality in health care. Not only are patients and families suffering but also the clinicians who care for them. Commonly the suffering experienced by clinicians is moral in nature, in part a reflection of the increasing complexity of health care, their roles within it, and the expanding range of available interventions. Moral suffering is the anguish that occurs when the burdens of treatment appear to outweigh the benefits; scarce human and material resources must be allocated; informed consent is incomplete or inadequate; or there are disagreements about goals of treatment among patients, families or clinicians. Each is a source of moral adversity that challenges clinicians' integrity: the inner harmony that arises when their essential values and commitments are aligned with their choices and actions. If moral suffering is unrelieved it can lead to disengagement, burnout, and undermine the quality of clinical care. The most studied response to moral adversity is moral distress. The sources and sequelae of moral distress, one type of moral suffering, have been documented among clinicians across specialties. It is vital to shift the focus to solutions and to expanded individual and system strategies that mitigate the detrimental effects of moral suffering. Moral resilience, the capacity of an individual to restore or sustain integrity in response to moral adversity, offers a path forward. It encompasses capacities aimed at developing self-regulation and self-awareness, buoyancy, moral efficacy, self-stewardship and ultimately personal and relational integrity. Clinicians and healthcare organizations must work together to transform moral suffering by cultivating the individual capacities for moral resilience and designing a new architecture to support ethical practice. Used worldwide for scalable and sustainable change, the Conscious Full Spectrum approach, offers a method to solve problems to support integrity, shift patterns that undermine moral resilience and ethical practice, and source the inner potential of clinicians and leaders to produce meaningful and sustainable results that benefit all.

Book 2nd Corinthians Empowering the Church

Download or read book 2nd Corinthians Empowering the Church written by Practical Christianity Foundation and published by Practical Christianity Foundation. This book was released on 2020-08-08 with total page 444 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Empowering the Church In his second epistle to the Corinthian Church, the apostle Paul empowered the church by affirming that God's strength and power is revealed and works in our weakness. The apostle empowered the church with God's strength after having confronted the immorality, doctrinal confusion and frequent disputes that had become commonplace among the Corinthian believers. Paul's message to this church was simple yet powerful: Consider the values of Christ's redemption and realign your thinking with God's instructions. Although this letter was written to admonish, instruct and encourage the early church, they are just as relevant to us today. This verse-by-verse devotional study, complete with engaging commentary and practical life applications, will challenge you to pursue a closer walk with Jesus Christ and grow in the faith.
