This book was released on 2011-01-19 with total page 134 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Psalm 119:18 Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law. The scriptures in the bible, contain, wonderful, truths, about life. But by far, the most wonderful thing, contained in the bible, is God's love for us. God's love is the most wonderful thing, any human being can ever have. His love, is hidden, inside of every word, in the bible. Their is also knowledge, wisdom, and understanding, which all come from his word. Inside of his word, we will find individual revelations, that will impart, the strength we need, to overcome anything the enemy might throw against us. Proverbs 25:2 It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter. Inside of God's word, are hidden treasures. Treasures, who's worth far exceeds that, of rubies, and gold. All we need to do, to find them, is look for them. They are carefully concealed, inside of God's word. This book is a treasure chest, full of great riches.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A fresh, daring, and genuine alternative to the traditional story of scientific progress Explaining the world around us, and the life within it, is one of the most uniquely human drives, and the most celebrated activity of science. Good explanations are what provide accurate causal accounts of the things we wonder at, but explanation's earthly origins haven't grounded it: we have used it to account for the grandest and most wondrous mysteries in the natural world. Explanations give us a sense of understanding, but an explanation that feels right doesn't mean it is true. For every true explanation, there is a false one that feels just as good. A good theory's explanations, though, have a much easier path to truth. This push for good explanations elevated science from medieval alchemy to electro-chemistry, or a pre-inertial physics to the forces underlying nanoparticles. And though the attempt to explain has existed as long as we have been able to wonder, a science timeline from pre-history to the present will reveal a steep curve of theoretical discovery that explodes around 1600, primarily in the West. Ranging over neuroscience, psychology, history, and policy, Wondrous Truths answers two fundamental questions-Why did science progress in the West? And why so quickly? J.D. Trout's answers are surprising. His central idea is that Western science rose above all others because it hit upon successive theories that were approximately true through an awkward assortment of accident and luck, geography and personal idiosyncrasy. Of course, intellectual ingenuity partially accounts for this persistent drive forward. But so too does the persistence of the objects of wonder. Wondrous Truths recovers the majesty of science, and provides a startling new look at the grand sweep of its biggest ideas.

Book Facts in Jingles

    Book Details:
  • Author : Winifred Sackville Stoner
  • Publisher : Createspace Independent Publishing Platform
  • Release : 1915
  • ISBN :
  • Pages : 370 pages

Download or read book Facts in Jingles written by Winifred Sackville Stoner and published by Createspace Independent Publishing Platform. This book was released on 1915 with total page 370 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: These jingles were written by a child for children. The young author does not expect that any one will imagine they were intended to be a contribution to poetry or literature. They will be of interest to adults principally as an illustration of the way a child's mind views some of the every-day situations of life. Grown people will also be interested to see how easily a young child can put facts into the jingle form when freedom of expression is acquired early. Those who have read Mrs. Stoner's Natural Education will recall that Winifred learned almost as a babe to use the typewriter. This helped her in her spelling and composition, so that she gained ease and freedom in expressing herself on any topic that she understood. She wrote out everything she learned so that she might the better get a grasp of it and remember it. And she found that when some kinds of facts were put together in a jingle they could be fixed with less effort and retained more securely than if they were learned in the ordinary way-by rote and without any method of organization.
