Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Very often we find ourselves struggling and disconnected from the person who we are called to be. We go looking for solutions in different places, only to find that sustained progress and growth does not seem to come. Meanwhile, as our lives seem more compartmentalized and arranged, we slowly begin to slip away from the holistic existence that all of us desire. We seek happiness in circumstances that don't endure, and settle for superficiality that does little more than get us through our day. But deep inside of us, a yearning remains-one that desires to deeply embrace our physical, psychological, social, and spiritual dimensions in raw form as one being. And right through the heart of it runs this curious story of Christianity, as radical now as it was two thousand years ago. Although encounters with this yearning may be brief and uncertain, denying its presence only leaves us further confused. So we settle for less, and linger unfulfilled. Wholiness is a book dedicated to a deeper understanding of this reality. Through restless seeking, it strives to bring together collective wisdom and authentic experiences in a way that engages the reader in the questions of, "Just who are we?" and "Where do we want to go?"

Book The Transbeingness of Man

Download or read book The Transbeingness of Man written by Thomas Martin Newald and published by Balboa Press. This book was released on 2016-08-26 with total page 494 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is my contribution of intuitive epistemology. This book discusses many new understandings of ultimate reality but, primarily, new understandings of the nature of God, the nature of man, and the nature and origin of our present universe. God is described as not personal, not all-powerful, not all-knowing, and not all-present. Individualized man is described as the unknowing expression of God. The universe is described as composed, in part, of the formless realm, the physical realm, the purgatorial realm, the spiritual realm, and the infinite void. The transbeingness of man is described as formless man, physical man, purgatorial man, and spiritual man. Individualized man, a nonspecific term for individualizations of infinite man, is described as alternately existing in two realities. The first reality is core reality. In core reality, individualized man is in total self-conscious unity and harmony with God. Thus, in core reality, individualized man exists in a mental self-realizing state of total harmony and bliss. The second reality is objective reality. In objective reality, individualized man experiences his infinite existence. This experiencing of existence is described as the purpose for individualized mans existence. Also, a fundamental understanding of this book is understanding the difference between real experiences and nonreal experiences. All functions within ultimate reality comprise real experiences. All experiences self-consciously created by individualized man are nonreal experiences. It is through the creative experiencing of objective existence that individualized man understands himself, God, and the purpose for his infinite existence. Finally, this book describes heaven and hell. Individualized man self-punishes himself for all his wrongdoings; God punishes no one. Hell is reserved for the individualizations of man that self-consciously reject God, but real physical hell is not a place of punishment.

Book Toward a Holy Ecology

  • Author : Ellen Bernstein
  • Publisher : Monkfish Book Publishing
  • Release : 2024-02-20
  • ISBN : 1958972207
  • Pages : 98 pages

Download or read book Toward a Holy Ecology written by Ellen Bernstein and published by Monkfish Book Publishing. This book was released on 2024-02-20 with total page 98 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Song of Songs is among the most accessible of all biblical books. It is also the most deeply ecological text of the canon, yet few people are aware of the Song’s ecological message. The intention of Toward a Holy Ecology: Reading the Song of Songs in the Age of Climate Crisis is to illuminate that message. Today there is such urgency around our many earth crises—so much brokenness—that we need a vision of wholeness and an ecological language that can help inspire, soothe and reinvigorate us, and bring us together regardless of our various affiliations and ideologies. The Song offers both ecological language and a vision. It sets the natural world before us with intensity and beauty, bidding us to savor it with all of our senses so that we may return to the world with the renewed clarity, love and energy necessary to work toward a healthy future for the earth and all her inhabitants. The Song is a particularly powerful book since it never utters the name of the divine, yet is a deeply spiritual work that may reach people who are interested in matters of the sacred, but prefer to steer clear of God language and conventional religious ideas. In both the Jewish and Christian worlds, where many people are disengaging from religion altogether, the Song—with its universal themes of love, justice and the integrity of nature—may help open the door to the possibilities which religion has to offer. Toward a Holy Ecology: Reading the Song of Songs in an Age of Climate Crisis seeks to engage a wide readership including all people who love the earth and its inhabitants, outdoor enthusiasts, spiritual seekers, poets, feminists, and students of the humanities, religion and ecology.

Book Computers Classical Quantum and Others

Download or read book Computers Classical Quantum and Others written by Sergey P. Suprun and published by Bentham Science Publishers. This book was released on 2011-04-27 with total page 130 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This volume elaborates upon functioning of a quantum computer and the analysis of mind phenomenon in a natural scientific paradigm. Many outstanding physicists - Bohr, Heisenberg et al.- considered that many aspects of quantum physics could be understood considering the laws of perception, linguistics and semiotics within the world's semiotic description. An analysis of would-be scientific theories and paradoxes connected with a number of unformulated statements regarding initial information is therefore presented. These, in turn, could be used to draw algorithms that generate a picture of reality in the human mind. The e-book also attempts to find out what is available to an observer from his/her standpoint (reference system), and from what theoretical standpoints that observation is developed. the initial point of this approach is recognizing that we are closed inside the semiotic system in which the 'universe' can only be presented to our mind. Such semiotic restrictions for translation of knowledge in any field are considered. This book is intended as a resource for senior students and researchers in natural sciences, scientific philosophy and contemporary psychology.

Book excerpt: It may feel like authentic faith. It may even look like the real deal. Yet it's often easy to settle for the souvenir t-shirt—the appearance of a transformed heart—instead of taking the actual trip through true life-change. We find ourselves settling for a personal faith that's been polluted by culture, and diluted by other people's take on spirituality. Christianish tells the story of one man's journey to move from the in-between to a life that's centered on Christ. To move forward, author Mark Steele goes back to the beginning, to examine Christ's life and words. Through stories and insights that are sometimes profound, often hilarious, and always honest, Mark delivers a compelling look at what our faith is all about.
