Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Lynne Buchanan began photographing Florida's inland waters to create artistic records of her connection with those waters and to learn lessons from being in the present moment and aligning with the flow of life. The more time she spent photographing waterways in her native Florida, the more she noticed what was being damaged and lost due to human impact. She resolved to draw attention to the situation through her photography and to work with water-quality and environmental advocates, from members of the Waterkeeper Alliance to Native American citizens fighting to preserve the integrity of their ancestral lands and drinking water. The result is Florida's Changing Waters, which not only showcases the beauty, diversity, and complexity of Florida's waters, but also documents the negative effects of agricultural and industrial pollution, a growing population with its urban growth and land development, and climate change on Florida's inland and coastal waters and springs. Though her work is place specific, the book reveals the interconnected and global nature of environmental problems. Indeed, Florida's fragile springs, wetlands, rivers, and coastal waters can be considered a tragic and powerful example of what is happening to aquatic systems elsewhere in the nation and world as a result of unchecked human action. Buchanan's photographs invite viewers to consider their personal relationship to water and encourage better stewardship of this vital--and finite--resource. They are also a call to action to find more effective ways to preserve these waterways for both their natural beauty and essential role in our survival.

Book Christ Generation by Fanny Ekpekurede

Download or read book Christ Generation by Fanny Ekpekurede written by Fanny Ekpekurede and published by Unitrix Creative Studios. This book was released on 2023-02-24 with total page 70 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: God’s heartbeat is to see His son reap the full benefit for the travail of His soul. He came as a spotless Son of God to fulfil the purpose of His Father, and realign Creation with the original intent of its maker. The child Jesus grew and waxed strong in spirit. While on the face of the earth, He was a terror to the prince of darkness. Through conspiracy, He was cut off out of the land of the living, even though He had done no violence, nor was deceit found in His mouth. He was bruised, stricken, and oppressed without any thought as to who would prolong His lineage or declare His generation; but little did the Devil know that He was walking in harmony with God’s will. One primary intent of God for His Son was to raise a body of people AFTER THE ORDER OF CHRIST. These people have the full-blown nature of Christ evidently manifesting for all to see. They have grown into the full measure of the stature of Christ. Their ultimate desire is for Christ to fill ALL in ALL. These people are coming into Christ-likeness. They are on a mission and cannot be stopped! Let’s read further and meet this body of believers. I sincerely pray that we all would allow the Lord to process us until Christ is fully formed in us. This book is a clarion call for us to hasten our Saviour receiving the full reward for the travail of His soul.

Book The Nature of the Sufi Path

Download or read book The Nature of the Sufi Path written by Anab Whitehouse and published by Bilquees Press. This book was released on 2018-11-06 with total page 484 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The material in The Nature of the Sufi Path consists of 70 commentaries on a book entitled Sufism: A Short Introduction by Professor William C. Chittick. Many, if not most, of the paragraphs that comprise the 163 pages (preface plus text) of Professor Chittick’s book contain problems, errors, misleading statements, and/or incorrect understandings concerning Islam, in general, and the Sufi path, in particular. This is both surprising and disturbing since the author is someone who, apparently, enjoys a considerable reputation in North America -- and, perhaps, elsewhere in the world -- as an expert on, and scholar of, the Sufi mystical tradition. I do not claim that what I say in this book is a definitive, exhaustive, ‘incapable-of-being-improved-upon’ treatment of the Sufi path. Rather, my hope is that the present book might move a person closer to the truth concerning the nature of that path than Professor Chittick’s aforementioned introduction to Sufism does and, as such, would represent an improvement over his work.
