Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book focuses on piano teachers and the many pains they encounter in their careers. These pains play an essential role in blocking the musical inspiration of their students. The author identifies with the sensitivities of the teachers, aiming at the inspiration permeated and safer playing of their students. The book penetrates the protective mechanisms of the teachers that, on the one hand, maintain their professional functioning, while on the other hand, block refreshing ideas. It combines exploration of secure and culturally informed inspired playing, coping with exaggerated anxiety and understanding the interaction of piano actions with pianist’s physiology. This book helps to open teachers’ perceptions of the ways to enable more secure and more inspired performances while remembering the inner feelings of the piano teachers.

In addition he has provided career counseling to youth in the Newark, NJ area. On his journey of self-realization, Gary's creative expressionism lead to freelancing in art and photography. In the next decade he served as Elder at True Vine Ministries in Jersey City, NJ, teaching and serving under Pastor Roderick Alan. Gary has over 60 articles published on Helium.com and has finished his second book "Quality of Heart" while placing the finishing touches on "Be for Meat" these both will be published in the upcoming later this year. With the advent of the mega-church concept and increased tele-evangelism, noted clergy such as TD Jakes, Joel Osteen, etc... have inspired the conviction that the local churches should align their tenets and agendas to meet the greater goals of mainstream evangelism, as "Where Are The Teachers?" proposes a new way forward that seeks to restructure and retool the discipline of teaching in the church. Gary is available for webinars and teleconferences throughout the year and hosts a blog (www.Whereare.wordpress.com) and website for direct/immediate access.

Download or read book Where s Mama written by Sheryl Marsh and published by Christian Faith Publishing, Inc.. This book was released on 2022-08-01 with total page 195 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: One would assume that a woman with a seventh-grade education, eight children to raise, and no money is considered a failure. Wrong! Not for this woman who was born in the Deep South in the 1920s. Instead, she used her situation as a ladder, setting goals and stepping over obstacles to successfully break free from the clutches of poverty. Staring poverty in the face and cleaning huge homes of affluent white people for miniscule wages to take care of eight children, Odessa B. Toyer demonstrated how one woman of tenacious character and totally dependent on God beat the odds to rear a family that would make her proud and give back to enhance her quality of life. She did it all without handouts and taught her children to do the same. Out of her poverty came many and varied life lessons that live on through her offspring. Decades later after all of her children were grown, it was shocking to see this strong woman forget the meal she had eaten fifteen minutes earlier, put keys in the refrigerator, or wander away from home to become a victim of the dreaded Alzheimer's disease. Once diagnosed, Odessa would fight the disease, and in the end, she strong-armed Alzheimer's by refusing to forget her children. When she died in 2008, we had no idea we would see Alzheimer's again. The monster was still lurking and would ultimately claim Odessa's oldest daughter. Where's Mama goes against the stereotypical finger-pointing of poverty-stricken families. On the contrary, it will show that proper raising, not poverty or ethnicity, determines the successful outcome of children. This story is multifaceted with many twists, and it will show how Odessa's adult children chose serving over life's pleasures to give back to their mother and a sibling through caregiving that collectively spanned more than a decade. I am Odessa's daughter. I lived through poverty with her and my siblings. That's why I'm telling her story. I believe this book will help others who have a will to climb out of poverty; and people tasked with caring for elderly loved ones who are victims of Alzheimer's.

Book excerpt: Facing life in and of itself is difficult. But when self-esteem issues, drugs, and questions about life come crashing down all at once, life is more than difficult. Many of us have unpleasant memories which we have carried on our shoulders as we became adults. These memories which may seem dormant can surface in many other negative ways. Unexplained aggression, total mood changes for no apparent reason, deep depression are just a few examples which can come from repressed feelings. This is about one person who struggles to overcome their inner conflicts as well as the shame which came from certain traumatic events. The life of those closest to Fred was greatly affected. Self-redemption and the long journey to coming to terms in order to heal is a story that everyone should be able to relate to. People who are afraid to speak on issues that hurt have to understand that to hold on to these bitter feelings will become toxic. And just like waste it will poison everything around. Thoughts of suicide was a big part of Fred's life during the years of inner rage as well as low self-esteem. Many may wrestle with these thoughts but through the personal experience I can say that reaching rock bottom made me face myself. I am thanking God for being a great part of my life without this foundation I would not be here now. Whether you to go to church or not this story should impress everyone in order to heal, we have to put closure on certain unpleasant subjects.
