Book excerpt: Our Book called The Narrow Path Of God is basically about teaching people the authentic gospel of Jesus Christ and explaining to people what it really feels like to walk this narrow path with Jesus because a lot of people have their own perception about what Christianity is and what it's about. Some people think that Christianity is about prosperity and blessings, some believe that Christianity is about going to church every Sunday and throughout the rest of the week they can live how they want to live, but the true disciples of Christ really knows the true definition of being a Christian. It's not about the benefits and the blessings, it's not about seeing how far you can get away with sin and still be in the Lord, it's not about being apart of a Christian organization and calling yourself a Christian because you have a title in the church it's about enduring till the end, denying yourself, and truly submitting to God's purpose for your life. Matthew 24:13 "But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved." Luke 9:23 "If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me." Matthew 7:13-14 "Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. 14 Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it." Hope you guys enjoy this book God Bless

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: God’s plan was to send Jesus, “the seed of the woman” promised in Genesis, to this earth in order to bruise the head of the Serpent. And at the fullness of time, Jesus Christ willingly gave up His unique position in heaven to come to earth to die for sinners too powerless to save ourselves. He took slaps, insults, spits and beatings and all indignities from sinners in order to accomplish this great salvation for us. He was nailed to the cross, died, was buried and rose from the dead on the third day. And before He gave up His last breath, He declared: “It is finished!” Those three words released all human beings who will accept His sacrifice of love, from bondage to Satan, forever. The curtain in the temple at Jerusalem that separated the holy place from the holy of holies rent in two from top to bottom after His death. This symbolized how His death opened for us direct access to God, the Father. No longer do we need a High Priest to go into the holy of holies **to offer the blood of bulls and goats that can only cover sins for a year. Jesus’ blood shed once and for all has obliterated our sins forever. He is now our Great High Priest in heaven where He offered His blood at God’s mercy seat. The Father was pleased with His perfect work for us and accepted His sacrifice. No wonder John the Baptist introduced the Lord as: “Behold the Lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world.” If you have believed in Christ’s work at Calvary and received Him into your life, confess Him with your mouth, tell people about how your sins are forgiven and who you have become in Christ. Faith in God and in the work of His Son for you is what determines your salvation.

Book WEIRD

Book excerpt: "When people describe my lifestyle or family as weird, I find comfort," writes author Craig Groeschel. He then shares a Christ-centered philosophy, on everything from money to scheduling to purity, to help you break out of the normal rut and live according to the rhythms of God’s grace and truth of his word. Normal people are stressed, overwhelmed, and exhausted. Many of their relationships are, at best, strained and, in most cases, just surviving. Even though we live in one of the most prosperous places on earth, normal is still living paycheck to paycheck and never getting ahead. In our oversexed world, lust, premarital sex, guilt, and shame are far more common than purity, virginity, and a healthy married sex life. And when it comes to God, the majority believe in him, but the teachings of scripture rarely make it into their everyday lives. Simply put, normal isn't working. Groeschel’s WEIRD will help you break free from the norm to lead a radically abnormal (and endlessly more fulfilling) life.

Book Walking the Narrow Path

    Book Details:
  • Author : Robert Laynton

  • Pages : 252 pages

Download or read book Walking the Narrow Path written by Robert Laynton and published by . This book was released on 2021-05-29 with total page 252 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Jesus said that 'the way leading to life is narrow and those who are finding it are few' (Matthew 7 v 14). Having come through the narrow gate, what direction are Christians called to take in their life journey? Exactly what is it that Christians are called to do in their daily lives? Many Christians consider that the answer is fairly easy and straightforward. They say that Christians are called to focus on living a 'godly life' - but what does that actually mean in practical terms? Does it mean going to church every Sunday to worship and praise God? Does it mean seeking an experience of the presence of God, or 'spiritual gifts' so as to be empowered to 'walk in the Spirit'? Does it mean 'getting going and getting involved' in attending fellowship Bible studies and prayer meetings, and helping out with fellowship activities such as Evangelism projects, or maintaining the church website, or helping out in the youth club or pre-school coffee mornings and so on? Does it mean getting involved in local community and charity work? Does it mean looking to the Ten Commandments and using God's Law as personal ideals and resolutions so as to be 'spurred on' to do what God commands? Does it mean withdrawing from the world, not going to nightclubs, not watching movies, not going to bars and works parties so as to become like a hermit in order not to be 'led astray' by ungodliness? Does God have a specific, individual, personal plan for each and every Christian? If so, how do Christians find out what that specific plane for them actually is? This book seeks to define the 'narrow path' and the way in which Christians are being called to walk along it according to the teaching of Jesus and his Apostles, illustrating the direction of travel, where the path leads to and some of the sidetracks that lead to 'dead ends' and to be avoided. It is intended for all Christians, but especially Christians who are involved in teaching and leadership.

Book excerpt: A compelling call to embrace the countercultural values of Jesus, which lead to a life of love, peace, and fulfillment, from the bestselling author of The Deeply Formed Life, winner of the Christianity Today Book Award. “In The Narrow Path, Rich unpacks what living our best life truly looks like. This book is a much-needed heart checkup for every Jesus follower.”—Christine Caine, founder of A21 and Propel Women We live in a culture that wants it all. More is seen as better—whether it’s more money, social media fame, choices, or power. For those chasing this way of life, “narrow” seems negative. Who wants to narrow their options . . . or be seen as narrow-minded? Which is why the most well-known talk in the history of the world—the Sermon on the Mount—is also the most paradoxical one. In it, Jesus holds up the narrow path as the most spacious . . . and the broader path as the more confining one. Rich Villodas, bestselling author of The Deeply Formed Life, explores what today’s broad and narrow paths look like so you can discern which one you’re on. The answer may surprise you—and will help you pursue the way of Jesus more deeply when it comes to loving God and others, prayer, sexual desire, conflict, money, anxiety, and more. The Narrow Path reintroduces the counterintuitive wonder of Jesus’s timeless wisdom for this age, one fraught with anxiety, depression, polarizing politics, and online vitriol. The path of Jesus is most certainly narrow, but it is the only one filled with the ever-expanding life of God . . . and it is available now for all who want it!

Book The Voices We Carry

Book excerpt: Reclaim Your Headspace and Find Your One True Voice As a hospital chaplain, J.S. Park encountered hundreds of patients at the edge of life and death, listening as they urgently shared their stories, confessions, and final words. J.S. began to identify patterns in his patients’ lives—patterns he also saw in his own life. He began to see that the events and traumas we experience throughout life become deafening voices that remain within us, even when the events are far in the past. He was surprised to find that in hearing the voices of his patients, he began to identify his own voices and all the ways they could both harm and heal. In The Voices We Carry, J.S. draws from his experiences as a hospital chaplain to present the Voices Model. This model explores the four internal voices of self-doubt, pride, people-pleasing, and judgment, and the four external voices of trauma, guilt, grief, and family dynamics. He also draws from his Asian-American upbringing to examine the challenges of identity and feeling “other.” J.S. outlines how to wrestle with our voices, and even befriend them, how to find our authentic voice in a world of mixed messages, and how to empower those who are voiceless. Filled with evidence-based research, spiritual and psychological insights, and stories of patient encounters, The Voices We Carry is an inspiring memoir of unexpected growth, humor, and what matters most. For those wading through a world of clamor and noise, this is a guide to find your clear, steady voice.
