Book WHO Global Report on Traditional and Complementary Medicine 2019

Download or read book WHO Global Report on Traditional and Complementary Medicine 2019 written by World Health Organization and published by World Health Organization. This book was released on 2019-05-16 with total page 228 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This report is structured in five parts: national framework for traditional and complementary medicine (T&CM); product regulation; practices and practitioners; the challenges faced by countries; and finally the country profiles. Apart from the section on practices and practitioners the report is consistent with the format of the report of the first global survey in order to provide a useful comparison. The section on practices and practitioners which covers providers education and health insurance is a new section incorporated to reflect the emerging trends in T&CM and to gather new information regarding these topics at a national level. All new information received has been incorporated into individual country profiles and data graphs. The report captures the three phases of progress made by Member States; that is before and after the first WHO Traditional Medicine Strategy (1999?2005) from the first global survey to the second global survey (2005?2012) and from the second survey to the most recent timeline (2012?2018).

Book Advances in Elliptic Curve Cryptography

Download or read book Advances in Elliptic Curve Cryptography written by Ian F. Blake and published by Cambridge University Press. This book was released on 2005-04-25 with total page 308 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Since the appearance of the authors' first volume on elliptic curve cryptography in 1999 there has been tremendous progress in the field. In some topics, particularly point counting, the progress has been spectacular. Other topics such as the Weil and Tate pairings have been applied in new and important ways to cryptographic protocols that hold great promise. Notions such as provable security, side channel analysis and the Weil descent technique have also grown in importance. This second volume addresses these advances and brings the reader up to date. Prominent contributors to the research literature in these areas have provided articles that reflect the current state of these important topics. They are divided into the areas of protocols, implementation techniques, mathematical foundations and pairing based cryptography. Each of the topics is presented in an accessible, coherent and consistent manner for a wide audience that will include mathematicians, computer scientists and engineers.

Book Nanoscience and Biotechnology for Environmental Applications

Download or read book Nanoscience and Biotechnology for Environmental Applications written by K M Gothandam and published by Springer. This book was released on 2019-02-05 with total page 264 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book presents the complete guide for readers to understand the applications, and pros and cons of nanotechnology applications in environmental remediation, although there are few critical reviews and textbooks available on environmental biotechnology. Water pollution has become one of the biggest concerns of the world. After the industrialisation and urbanisation, environmental pollution has become an enormous concern. Water pollution results in biomagnifications by entering the food chain. As a result water pollution and its risks need to be considered seriously and solutions need to be researched. This volume looks into such topics as bioremediation, nanobiotechnology, biosensors, and enzyme degradation to find solutions to these problems.

  • Author : Kenneth Goldsmith
  • Publisher : Geoffrey Young
  • Release : 2003
  • ISBN : 9781930589209
  • Pages : 904 pages

Download or read book Day written by Kenneth Goldsmith and published by Geoffrey Young. This book was released on 2003 with total page 904 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Poetry. "I am spending my 39th year practicing uncreativity. On Friday, September 1, 2000, I began retyping the day's NEW YORK TIMES word for word, letter for letter, from the upper left hand corner to the lower right hand corner, page by page." With these words, Kenneth Goldsmith embarked upon a project which he termed "uncreative writing", that is: uncreativity as a constraint-based process; uncreativity as a creative practice. By typing page upon page, making no distinction between article, editorial and advertisement, disregarding all typographic and graphical treatments, Goldsmith levels the daily newspaper. DAY is a monument to the ephemeral, comprised of yesterday's news, a fleeting moment concretized, captured, then reframed into the discourse of literature. "When I reach 40, I hope to have cleansed myself of all creativity"-Kenneth Goldsmith.
