Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Two Mormon missionaries in Italy discover they share the same rare ability-both can emit pheromones on demand. At first, they playfully compete in the hills of Frascati to see who can tempt "investigators" most. But soon they're targeting each other non-stop. Can two immature young men learn to control their "superpower" to live a normal life...and develop genuine love? Even as their relationship is threatened by the attentions of another man? They seem just on the verge of success when a massive earthquake leaves them trapped under the rubble of their apartment in Castellammare. With night falling and temperatures dropping, can they dig themselves out in time to save themselves? And will their injuries destroy the ability that brought them together in the first place?

Book Wake Up and Smell the Shit

Download or read book Wake Up and Smell the Shit written by Kirsten Koza and published by Travelers' Tales. This book was released on 2015-10-19 with total page 272 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Stand back! The tales in this raunchy round-the-world romp might get you dirty. We've all had unspeakable experiences while traveling that we're ashamed to admit, but these often become our best stories in the retelling. The writers in this collection cast inhibition aside and reveal their weirdest and worst moments and how they made the best of them. And memorable moments in exotic destinations come in all shapes and sizes: insects as big as Pam Anderson’s left tit, regrettable sex, stink-eyed officials, horrible healers, Lady Gaga’s shoes and Madonna’s special meal, trigger-happy militants, and peeping Tom rock stars. Adventure vicariously as: Spud Hilton (not Monty Python) finds the Holy Grail by accident. Meghan Ward squats, and then the toilet grunts back, in Goa. Kasha Rigby proved how tough she is on National Geographic’s Ultimate Survival Alaska, but is she a match for a 90-year-old bone breaker in Guatemala? Namibians stereotype Chinese men as Bruce Lee—Gerald Yeung wonders if attacking baboons will do the same. Keph Senett (hoping not to follow in the footsteps of Pussy Riot) braves bombs, police and a Soviet-era sofa bed to play soccer at the LGBT games in Putin’s Russia. Jabba-the-Turd versus Shannon Bradford in an epic showdown in Argentina. And many more….

Burns knows He has promised to never leave or forsake us – and she has witnessed this promise. Burns is in total awe of the miraculous answers to prayers that only God could do. She writes in Sadie’s Book to the Glory of God, that she experienced God’s faithfulness in meeting the needs of the poor with no resources available, to the rich with resources they will never use. However, the emotional and spiritual pain hurts both. During the thirteen years Burns served at Windsor Forest Baptist Church’s Life Care Ministry and her seven years at Savannah Baptist Center as a North American Missionary, she felt God pour out His power and love in miraculous ways.

  • Author : Will Bissett
  • Publisher : WestBow Press

Download or read book Outside In written by Will Bissett and published by WestBow Press. This book was released on 2016-07-13 with total page 288 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A must-read for anyone seeking to truly understand the relationship between the Christian faith and UK society. Outside In explores the perceptions of the Christian faith by those who do not regularly attend church. Based on postgraduate research conducted during 2013 (extracts of which were published on the Willow Creek UK website), the book is split into two parts. One part provides the methodology and detailed analysis for those who wish to fully understand the actual research and findings, whilst the other part explores the key findings and implications in an easily digestible format, and offers some suggestions for consideration. In the UK, a majority (albeit declining) of the population identify as Christian, but a relatively small proportion are engaged in regular church-going. Why is this? Rather than rely on assumptions, the research asked the participants many questions, such as, what do they really think of the church? Why might they not find it helpful for their spiritual journey and daily life? What are the predominant perceptions, of church, Christianity, Christians, God, Jesus? Is the Christian message of grace being perceived in any significant way? The book explores what the participants thought of church, and outlines the range of opinions found from those who see it as a faith community through to others who simply view it as a foreboding building or institution. It also explores how perceptions vary across the generations. Part sociological and part theological; Outside In offers significant insight into how the church and the Christian faith are really viewed by those who do not regularly attend. This book provides a fantastic opportunity for churches to better understand how they are truly perceived, and therefore has significant implications for how they could better relate to, and communicate with, their local communities, as well as wider UK society.

Book Toils and Triumphs

Download or read book Toils and Triumphs written by Harriett Warner Ellis and published by Curiosmith. This book was released on 2012-04-26 with total page 192 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The purpose of this book is "to awaken in the heart of every true Christian an earnest desire to aid in so glorious a cause." It portrays the historic adventures of missionaries of many denominations, in many parts the world. Typically, the initial work of sowing the "seed" might be followed by the results happening years afterward. The book begins with Adoniram and Ann Judson, newly married, boarding the ship Caravan, and sailing to Calcutta. Other missionaries include Samuel Marsden, Hans Egede, John Hunt, Hans Haven, John Eliot, Robert Moffet and William Milne. A large chapter covers the influence of women in running schools for children. Huge setbacks, in human plans are often met with an equally huge faith in God. Unfriendly governments, cruelty and cannibalism and other circumstances so adverse that some prayed that "they might have faith to believe that in this unlikely way He [God] would prosper His own cause."

True Confessions of a Missionary is a collection of personal testimonies written to help others overcome the enemy, build their faith, and bring glory to the King of Kings. Each chapter tells the true stories of men and women forever changed by Jesus’ love and power. Physical healings, spiritual deliverance, and powerful conversions are documented and attested to by more than one person, fulfilling the words of scripture in Matthew 18:16 that every matter be established by two or more witnesses. True Confessions of a Missionary is about giving glory to an awesome, personal God who wants to be involved in the lives of His children. The author prays that those who read it will be encouraged to pursue a deeper, more intimate relationship with our Abba Father and step out and share their testimony with a world that is lost without Him.
