Download or read book Vivo The Magic Bear written by Florina Petre and published by Outskirts Press. This book was released on 2015-06-30 with total page 39 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Vivo the Magic Bear is a story born from the desire to restore the hope to those who are sad and teach them how to rediscover their dreams and not to give them up again. I’m one of the billions of fans of Michael Jackson. I wrote this book as a tribute in memory of the King of Pop and I dedicate it to his children and fans. I could say that is a message for all those who love Michael Jackson and want him close to their hearts. That’s what I felt when I wrote this book; each paragraph came like a twinkle in my mind in the moment I was thinking about Michael. This book is magical because my inspiration came from magic and the magic is Michael Jackson himself. During the writing of the book, I felt I had to teach the children that each of us has the power to heal ourself and to accelerate healing. The magic of the little bear, Vivo, is supported in reality by the awakening power of self-suggestion, the purpose of healing being in its entirety. The person who will read or listen to the story will look at the little bear Vivo as a hero who can heal all wounds with his magic wing. In a world where it's all about money and power, here on the scene is a book that speaks to you about soul, life, and strength to move forward when you have a thousand reasons to quit. This book is about the friendship between two magical beings who live on an island, and the island is guarded by a good spirit, M-Angel (Michael Jackson), who helps the two friends in their adventures. Vivo has a magical wing, received as a gift from M-Angel, and the wing can heal and bring light. Vivo and Puff are best friends and each has one single wing. Only together can they fly. In this way, the story tells us to be united, so that together we can win. Together we can heal the world, as Michael taught us to do. Vivo will teach children and adults to be tolerant, loving, and brave. When I designed this character, I used the idea that each of us has the power to heal through words, through moral support with love. Children around the world need a hero to teach them to believe in their dreams, to grow and develop through positive thinking, devoid of fear. We must learn to be better, because each of us is a step toward a better world. We are the world and if we want to have loving people and streets devoid of violence, we need to have models to teach us the importance of friendship, love, truth…for all these, Vivo is perfect! There must be a small star to enlighten our souls and to teach us which are the true values of life. We need spiritual light to be better, more tolerant, more loving, to hope, and to believe in our dreams.

Book excerpt: Firmat explores the process of assimilation or transculturation in the case of Cuba, and proposes a new understanding of the issue of Cuban national identity through revisionary readings dating from the early decades of the twentieth century, a time of intense self-reflection in the nation's history. He argues that Cuban identity is translational rather than foundational and that cubanía emerges from a nuanced, self-conscious recasting of foreign models.

After meeting the man, Alvina feels drawn to him, especially since he is well-traveled. The two share a slow-burn courtship, and after a lifetime of being raised around stifled passion, Alvina feels alive. Seduced by Ciccio and desperate for adventure, Alvina decides to run away with Ciccio, fleeing to Naples. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Although the genomic era is no longer in its infancy, the life sciences are still facing questions about the role of endogenous proteins and peptides in homeostasis and pathologies. Delving into one of the most current fields of interest in biology and medicine, Neuropeptides in Neuroprotection and Neuroregeneration describes the impact of neuropeptides on neuroprotection and neuroregeneration. The book begins with chapters describing important features of the endogenous neuropeptide systems related to their formation, receptor signaling, and inactivation. It includes chapters focused on the design and development of peptide-like drugs (peptidomimetics). In addition, the book covers: General aspects regarding the biosynthesis, structures, and distribution of neuroactive peptides and their receptors Basic mechanisms for neuropeptide action, metabolism, as well as techniques for their detection and aspects essential for the cellular mechanisms underlying brain pathology Neuropeptides known for their impact in neurodegenerative and neuroprotective processes Fundamental aspects as well as recent progress in the development of peptidomimetics of neuroprotective and cognition-enhancing peptides
