Years later, she wants to believe in the fairy-tale endings her job promotes, but the clients she meets day after day seem to be more “Crazily Ever After” than “Happily Ever After.” Meanwhile, her own attempts at romance play out as bizarre comedies rather than love stories, and she’s starting to think Prince Charming either fell off his horse or got eaten by a dragon. When unresolved issues from Tyler’s past complicate things even further, she discovers she may yet have some things to figure out before she can find her own happy ending. This delightful first book in the Tales Behind the Veils series chronicles Tyler’s wacky misadventures, both personal and professional. Book excerpt: VIOLET COVE IS THE STUNNING DEBUT NOVEL OF LOVE, OBSESSION, AND LIFE AFTER DEATH FROM THE MACABRE STORYTELLER ANN REILLET. July 1913: A servant in the employ of Mrs. John Austin leaves a poison-laden beverage on the kitchen counter, but it is not Mrs. Austin who drinks the tea. The servant can do nothing but watch as her mistress is accused of murder. Tormented by self-pity, she takes her own life but death has a servitude of its own. July 1930: A broke and desperate actor is looking forward to the company of his wealthy mistress, but she winds up missing and presumed dead. After watching the very last of his money go up in smoke and colorful shades of bursting fireworks, the actor takes a rope and then takes his own life but death is not the end for Mr. Witherspoon. July 1988: Ill spoken words cut straight to the heart of a young married couple. In an act of rage, Neil Eckers shoots his wife and then turns the gun on himself. No one understood why he did it, least of all his father. That is, until he withdrew a dusty old book from his bookshelf twelve years later. The answers uncover an even greater mystery. July has come again and with it, a fax detailing the specs of yet another property listing. Robert and Anna Ford set off to meet their real estate agent with hope of finding their dream home, but their agent has his own reasons for showing them this house. Of all the homes theyve looked at, it seems the least suitable for many reasons. The Fords may live to regret their decision, if they can only survive Violet Cove! Book Reviews Ann Reillets writing is freshly entertaining. She leaps across social boundaries to create likable characters that would otherwise be taboo. In her novel, Violet Cove, she successfully intertwines a ghost story and murder mystery. Although I can usually form a suspicion about the guilty character, I was truly surprised by the denouement here and realized only afterward that the clues were there all along; staring me in the face. Violet Cove is best suited to an adult audience; anyone who enjoys murder mysteries, ghost stories, or paranormal fiction will delight in this novel. And once youve read Violet Cove, youre going to want more from this talented author. --- Review by T. Steinbach for Midwest Book Review If you want to read a good murder mystery/ghost story, this is it. Ann Reillets unique writing style is a breath of fresh air. Her ability to draw you into the story, make you care about the characters, and keep you interested is on a level with well-known, best selling novelists. A little comedy, love, murder, mystery, ghosts. What more do you need in a one book? The ending alone is enough to make me want to read it again and when you read it and get to the last word, youll say exactly what I said, "Wow, I didnt see that coming." Awesome book! Im glad to have it in my personal library. ---Review by M. Hartman for Barnes & Noble

Book Timeless Life The 365 Day Self improvement Plan

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: If you can visualize the perfect body ... the feeling will accomplish the rest! Timeless Life is a 365-day self-improvement plan, which follows the cycle of the Moon through the twelve signs of the zodiac to re-program our attitude toward food. Each of the twelve signs sets into motion powerful changes that affect the processes, which are responsible for re-shaping the feeling of our body image. Timeless Life is both a diet and a spiritual discovery into the understanding of our emotions. If you happen to lose weight on it fine, but that would be because you understood that the powers of the Higher Self are your powers - the power to be yourself without the limited understanding that shapes our physical body. To live spiritually, is really just being yourself. Discovering the simplicity is the purpose of this book. We use the cycle of the Moon to understand the different layers that make up the total feeling of our Self. We then plant more meaningful suggestions, such as to lose weight or to make more money - and even, to heal. Whatever you wish - these inner powers are suggestions that are yours to use.

Book excerpt: A DAZZLING NEW NOVEL FROM NATIONAL BESTSELLING AND GMA BOOK CLUB PICK MARGARITA MONTIMORE, AUTHOR OF OONA OUT OF ORDER “[A] twisty, genre-defying family drama...Reminiscent of Taylor Jenkins Reid's Daisy Jones & the Six.” --Shelf Awareness (starred review) Nearly a decade ago, iconic magician Violet Volk performed her greatest trick yet: vanishing mid-act. While Violet sought out the spotlight, her sister Sasha, had to be the responsible one. But Sasha can never seem to escape her sister’s tumultuous orbit. Then there’s Cameron Frank, determined to finally get his big break hosting a podcast devoted to all things Violet—though keeping his job hinges on an exclusive interview with Sasha, the last person who wants to talk to him. As the ten-year anniversary approaches, the podcast picks up steam, and Cameron’s pursuit of Sasha becomes increasingly intrusive. Meanwhile, Sasha begins to experience an unsettling series of sleepwalking episodes and coincidences, which all lead back to Violet. Pushed to her emotional limits, Sasha must finally confront the most painful truths about her sister, and herself, even at the risk of losing everything. Alternating between Sasha’s narration and Cameron’s podcast transcripts, interspersed with documents that offer a tantalizing peek at Violet herself, Acts of Violet is an utterly original, propulsive story of fame, deception, and forgiveness that will make you believe in magic.

She appreciates a simple celebration as much as a dazzling event, for she knows that a dream wedding is not necessarily the most expensive one. She finds fulfillment in her close relationship with her twin sister, Hope, her role as a mentor for her assistant, Violet, and her career. This year, new clients have flocked to her, and she signs up an extravagant reception, a mid-sized gathering, and an intimate soirée, in addition to her mother’s next marriage and Violet’s modest ceremony. Faith finds herself forming bonds with her new clients and their loved ones—most notably the handsome brother of one of her grooms. But weddings are not always all champagne and roses, and in no time, Faith is grappling with private quarrels, unplanned pregnancies, family scandals, dark secrets, and the possibility of cancelled ceremonies. Through her own journey, Faith will prove once and for all that there is not just one path to happily ever after. In The Wedding Planner, Danielle Steel presents an enchanting story about the winding road to love and the many ways to find joy while staying true to oneself.
