Elle leur donne la parole, détaille les faits, éclaire l'action comme l'extraordinaire parcours de la " bergère " de Domrémy par les circonstances du moment et laisse au lecteur le choix de son opinion sur la geste johannique. L'auteur livre ici un ouvrage de référence qui renouvellera l'historiographie de la " Pucelle ".
