Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "This monograph is devoted to arithmetic functions, an area of number theory. Arithmetic functions are very important in many parts of theoretical and applied sciences, and many mathematicians have devoted great interest in this field. One of the interesting features of this book is the introduction and study of certain new arithmetic functions that have been considered by the authors separately or together, and their importance is shown in many connections with the classical arithmetic functions or in their applications to other problems"--

Book Complex Interval Arithmetic and Its Applications

Download or read book Complex Interval Arithmetic and Its Applications written by Miodrag Petković and published by John Wiley & Sons. This book was released on 1998 with total page 296 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The aim of this book is to present formulas and methods developed using complex interval arithmetic. While most of numerical methods described in the literature deal with real intervals and real vectors, there is no systematic study of methods in complex interval arithmetic. The book fills this gap. Several main subjects are considered: outer estimates for the range of complex functions, especially complex centered forms, the best approximations of elementary complex functions by disks, iterative methods for the inclusion by polynomial zeros including their implementation on parallel computers, the analysis of numerical stability of iterative methods by using complex interval arithmetic and numerical computation of curvilinear integrals with error bounds. Mainly new methods are presented developed over the last years, including a lot of very recent results by the authors some of which have not been published before.

Book Arithmetical Functions

Download or read book Arithmetical Functions written by Wolfgang Schwarz and published by . This book was released on 1994 with total page 367 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The aim of this book is to characterize certain multiplicative and additive arithmetical functions by combining methods from number theory with some simple ideas from functional and harmonic analysis. The authors achieve this goal by considering convolutions of arithmetical functions, elementary mean-value theorems, and properties of related multiplicative functions. They also prove the mean-value theorems of Wirsing and Halász and study the pointwise convergence of the Ramanujan expansion. Finally, some applications to power series with multiplicative coefficients are included, along with exercises and an extensive bibliography.

Book On the Correlation of Multiplicative and the Sum of Additive Arithmetic Functions

Download or read book On the Correlation of Multiplicative and the Sum of Additive Arithmetic Functions written by Peter D. T. A. Elliott and published by American Mathematical Soc.. This book was released on 1994 with total page 102 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The correlation of multiplicative arithmetic functions on distinct arithmetic progressions and with values in the complex unit disc, cannot be continually near to its possible maximum unless each function is either very close to or very far from a generalized character. Moreover, under accessible condition the second possibility can be ruled out. As a consequence analogs of the standard limit theorems in probabilistic number theory are obtained with the classical single additive function on the integers replaced by a sum of two additive functions on distinct arithmetic progressions.

This book was released on with total page 20 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: As a variation of fuzzy sets and intuitionistic fuzzy sets, neutrosophic sets have been developed to represent uncertain, imprecise, incomplete and inconsistent information that exists in the real world. In this paper, this article introduces an approach to handle multi-criteria decision making (MCDM) problems under the SVNSs.

Book From Arithmetic to Zeta Functions

Download or read book From Arithmetic to Zeta Functions written by Jürgen Sander and published by Springer. This book was released on 2016-12-29 with total page 552 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book collects more than thirty contributions in memory of Wolfgang Schwarz, most of which were presented at the seventh International Conference on Elementary and Analytic Number Theory (ELAZ), held July 2014 in Hildesheim, Germany. Ranging from the theory of arithmetical functions to diophantine problems, to analytic aspects of zeta-functions, the various research and survey articles cover the broad interests of the well-known number theorist and cherished colleague Wolfgang Schwarz (1934-2013), who contributed over one hundred articles on number theory, its history and related fields. Readers interested in elementary or analytic number theory and related fields will certainly find many fascinating topical results among the contributions from both respected mathematicians and up-and-coming young researchers. In addition, some biographical articles highlight the life and mathematical works of Wolfgang Schwarz.

Book Introduction to Arithmetical Functions

Download or read book Introduction to Arithmetical Functions written by Paul J. McCarthy and published by Springer. This book was released on 1986 with total page 406 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The theory of arithmetical functions has always been one of the more active parts of the theory of numbers. The large number of papers in the bibliography, most of which were written in the last forty years, attests to its popularity. Most textbooks on the theory of numbers contain some information on arithmetical functions, usually results which are classical. My purpose is to carry the reader beyond the point at which the textbooks abandon the subject. In each chapter there are some results which can be described as contemporary, and in some chapters this is true of almost all the material. This is an introduction to the subject, not a treatise. It should not be expected that it covers every topic in the theory of arithmetical functions. The bibliography is a list of papers related to the topics that are covered, and it is at least a good approximation to a complete list within the limits I have set for myself. In the case of some of the topics omitted from or slighted in the book, I cite expository papers on those topics.

Book Hybrid Weighted Arithmetic and Geometric Aggregation Operator of Neutrosophic Cubic Sets for MADM

Download or read book Hybrid Weighted Arithmetic and Geometric Aggregation Operator of Neutrosophic Cubic Sets for MADM written by Lilian Shi and published by Infinite Study. This book was released on with total page 12 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Neutrosophic cubic sets (NCSs) can express complex multi-attribute decision-making (MADM) problems with its interval and single-valued neutrosophic numbers simultaneously. The weighted arithmetic average (WAA) and geometric average (WGA) operators are common aggregation operators for handling MADM problems. However, the neutrosophic cubic weighted arithmetic average (NCWAA) and neutrosophic cubic geometric weighted average (NCWGA) operators may result in some unreasonable aggregated values in some cases. In order to overcome the drawbacks of the NCWAA and NCWGA, this paper developed a new neutrosophic cubic hybrid weighted arithmetic and geometric aggregation (NCHWAGA) operator and investigates its suitability and effectiveness. Then, we established a MADM method based on the NCHWAGA operator. Finally, a MADM problem with neutrosophic cubic information was provided to illustrate the application and effectiveness of the proposed method.
