Book Options Math for Traders

Download or read book Options Math for Traders written by Scott Nations and published by John Wiley & Sons. This book was released on 2012-10-01 with total page 277 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A practical guide to the math behind options and how that knowledge can improve your trading performance No book on options can guarantee success, but if a trader understands and utilizes option math effectively, good things are going to happen. The idea behind Options Math for Traders + Website is to help retail option traders understand some of the basic tenants and enduring relationships of options, and option math, that professional and institutional traders rely on every day. This book skillfully highlights those strategies that are inherently superior from an option math point of view and explains what drives that superiority while also examining why some strategies are inherently inferior. The material is explained without complex equations or technical jargon. The goal is to give you a solid conceptual foundation of options behavior so you can make more informed decisions when choosing an option strategy for your market outlook. Topics covered include the volatility premium, because over time, options will cost more than they are ultimately worth; skew, wherein far out of the money put options may seem cheap from an absolute term, but are very expensive in relative terms; and the acceleration in option price erosion. The book also has a companion Website, which includes links to those sites that can scan for the best strategies discussed in the book. Explains, in a non-technical manner, the mathematical properties of options so that traders can better select the right options strategy for their market outlook Companion Website contains timely tools that allow you to continue to learn in a hands-on fashion long after closing the book Written by top options expert Scott Nations Most independent traders have an imperfect understanding of the math behind options pricing. With Options Math for Traders + Website as your guide, you'll gain valuable lessons in this area and discover how this information can improve your trading performance.

Book Cash Values

  • Author : Craig M. Gay
  • Publisher : Wm. B. Eerdmans Publishing
  • Release : 2004
  • ISBN : 0802827756
  • Pages : 111 pages

Download or read book Cash Values written by Craig M. Gay and published by Wm. B. Eerdmans Publishing. This book was released on 2004 with total page 111 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Few would doubt the central role of money today. It is the hub around which much of the modern world turns, particularly in those places impacted by capitalism. Add to this the fact that the use and abuse of money has frequently been addressed by Scripture and by notable figures in church tradition and, clearly, money is an aspect of contemporary society deserving of serious Christian reflection. In this new volume by Craig Gay considers with wisdom and aplomb the impact of money in personal and social life. Considering the insights of a number of classical and contemporary social theorists, Gay shows the duplicity of a monetary ethos: capitalism is without question the most productive economic system ever devised, yet the market system also fosters a subtle nihilism that tends to empty the world of substance and meaning. Money also lurks behind many of the perplexing social and cultural problems so often associated with capitalist development. Gaybs analysis encourages readers to rediscover meanings and values that transcend bcash valuesb and that, therefore, might in turn serve to discipline the market economybs hold on the modern mind.

Book Game Changer

  • Publisher : John Wiley & Sons

Download or read book Game Changer written by Jean-Manuel Izaret and published by John Wiley & Sons. This book was released on 2023-10-17 with total page 439 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The right pricing strategy can change the entire trajectory of a business, a market, and even society at large. To help you create your best pricing strategy efficiently and confidently, two leaders from BCG are introducing fresh perspectives on pricing that take you far beyond the realm of mind-numbing numbers. In their new book Game Changer: How Strategic Pricing Shapes Businesses, Markets, and Society, Jean-Manuel Izaret and Arnab Sinha simplify and clarify pricing strategy by integrating its many frameworks and concepts into seven distinct pricing games, each with its own proven tools, rules, forces, and structures. To help you pick the right game and play it well, Izaret and Sinha have developed the Strategic Pricing Hexagon, a tool refined through years of testing, iteration, and adaptation. The Hexagon is your portal to a business world where stronger growth and better financial performance come from a set of strategic pricing decisions, not endless myopic quests for optimal prices. But more than that, the Hexagon will change the way you think about and talk about pricing. The current conversation around pricing – as expressed through economics textbooks, Excel spreadsheets, political discourse, and educated guesswork – makes it easy to believe that pricing is nothing more than a technical, tactical and, for most people, boring game of numbers. Game Changer changes that conversation bysharing stories and research that bring the Hexagon and its seven pricing games to life. With research from BCG’s Bruce Henderson Institute and real-world examples from the world's most influential companies, the authors and their colleagues at BCG define pricing strategy as a business leader’s or business owner’s conscious decisions about how money flows in their market. They show how companies succeed in the long term when they focus on collaborative growth and value sharing with customers, not zero-sum value extraction from them. Discover how you can create and implement a winning pricing strategy that changes the trajectory of your business, your market, and even society.

Book Do USDA Farm Program Participants Contribute to Soil Erosion

Download or read book Do USDA Farm Program Participants Contribute to Soil Erosion written by K. H. Reichelderfer and published by . This book was released on 1985 with total page 84 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Extract: Only about one-third of U.S. cropland with excessive soil erosion rates is operated by farmers who might be influenced to reduce erosion if changes were made in the U.S. Department of Agriculture's commodity and soil conservation programs. The present commodity programs may conflict with conservation programs by encouraging the cultivation of erosive crops. Efforts to increase the consistency of USDA commodity and conservation programs would contribute little to overcoming the Nation's total erosion problems. Such efforts, however, should balance conservation objectives with objectives for farm income, commodity prices, production, and export.
