Excerpt: ... m In 1782, the Lodge of Fortitude, at Maidstone in Kent, came to a resolution (in imitation of many foreign lodges) to render service to mankind in general, by some singular transaction more than the bulk of masonry in England are accustomed to do, viz.: The maritime situation of Kent, a country, from its nature and situation in an especial manner liable to accidents by water, and to which, in consequence of these circumstances, the Humane Society owes its rise! An institution so coincident with all the finest feelings of humanity, and so immediately interesting to the public welfare, by saving the lives of an order of men, who in an eminent degree contribute to the public weal, in a maritime and commercial state like ours; who occupying their business in the great waters, are consequently more liable to accidents upon it. The Lodge of Fortitude, maturely considering this, have distributed numbers of hand-bills through the county, containing the methods of treatment prescribed by the directors and medical assistants; generously offer an addition to the rewards paid by that society, when life is restored, in unsuccessful attempts (provided the mode of treatment laid down by the society has been used), to the publicans or other persons who receive the bodies readily into their houses; and to the person who first brings the news of an accident to the nearest medical assistant. In short, the lodge propose to pursue every method which will enable them to be more useful in saving the lives of their fellow-creatures. Permit me now, my worthy brethren, as father of the lodge (being instituted by me in 1779) to address you on so laudable and praise-worthy an undertaking, being the first attempt in England of a free-masons' lodge rendering general..

Book Is it True What They Say About Freemasonry

Download or read book Is it True What They Say About Freemasonry written by S. Brent Morris and published by Government Institutes. This book was released on 2010-03-16 with total page 286 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: For as long as there have been Freemasons, there has been a calculated effort to disparage and their practices. In this insightful text, masons de Hoyos and Morris explore the origins of the anti-Masonic mindset and delve into the falsehoods on which critics have based these perennial sentiments. Confronting opponents one at a time, the authors methodically debunk the myths that have surrounded Freemasonry since its establishment, investigating the motives and misconceptions that derive antagonists to spread deceit about Masonic traditions.

SMITH and published by Gale Ecco, Print Editions. This book was released on 2018-04-20 with total page 418 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The 18th century was a wealth of knowledge, exploration and rapidly growing technology and expanding record-keeping made possible by advances in the printing press. In its determination to preserve the century of revolution, Gale initiated a revolution of its own: digitization of epic proportions to preserve these invaluable works in the largest archive of its kind. Now for the first time these high-quality digital copies of original 18th century manuscripts are available in print, making them highly accessible to libraries, undergraduate students, and independent scholars. The Age of Enlightenment profoundly enriched religious and philosophical understanding and continues to influence present-day thinking. Works collected here include masterpieces by David Hume, Immanuel Kant, and Jean-Jacques Rousseau, as well as religious sermons and moral debates on the issues of the day, such as the slave trade. The Age of Reason saw conflict between Protestantism and Catholicism transformed into one between faith and logic -- a debate that continues in the twenty-first century. ++++ The below data was compiled from various identification fields in the bibliographic record of this title. Book Freemasonry s Cult Abuses

Download or read book Freemasonry s Cult Abuses written by James Robert Wright and published by . This book was released on 2011 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Since this all began as a private issue for me, and the rate at which it has ballooned since, it has become clear and concise that there is a serious problem at hand here. Right after having finished writing this the world witnessed a major terrorist attack in Norway, in which over one hundred lives of mainly children were lost. Most untrained eyes missed the blatant Scottish Rite 32nd Degree symbolic give-away on major network news as the many pictures of the terrorist were streaming on a slide show. This is a cult, this is a problem; these men are indoctrinating, controlling by fear, and making members feel like life outside the cult is bad. These are all proven psychological red flags of a cult, as any basic textbook will reference. Now I hear they are even encouraging and promoting arming members here in Texas via free concealed handgun courses, so now the cult is playing with weapons too. I have heard the audio of the Masonic Trial of another Brother, being tried for coming out of the closet, nothing more, and it is nothing but bigot after bigot taking the microphone and openly spewing hate crime inciting speech, so strongly I actually wept. I have watched countless African-American Prince Hall Masons be referred to as clandestine and not allowed to sit in our Lodge and the blatant disregard for women and disallowment in their ranks. In the times we live in, and with the blatant culture of lawlessness within the upper tier of the men with the top jobs, I shudder to think that more terrorist attacks or ritual abuses are going to occur because these men are drunk with power.
