Download or read book A SEARCH IN SECRET SACRED HINDUISM written by t.s.viswanathan and published by SUBRAMANIAM BROTHERS PRIVATE LTD. This book was released on 2014-06-16 with total page 428 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: An Introduction: The purpose of writing the book is to provide a brief idea and knowledge about the various Vedic religious, rituals, practices, science, mathematics, beliefs prevalent in Hinduism. In short, to reveal the secrets of Hinduism. In India one should know that there were the intellectuals like rishis and saints and also tribals. The rishis and seers gave the written form of Vedas, Vedangas, languages, sciences, and all forms of knowledge. Sages and seers developed all faculties for Human knowledge, right from medicine to maths, philosophy, physics, astronomy and so on. The concept of re incarnation was one of the highest secrets of Hinduism and followed subsequently by other eastern religions.Though all were in pure Sanskrit it formed the base for the entire world to accelerate their development in all spheres of life. These were all introduced by seers in India through spirituality obtained from incessant meditation. The core practice is meditation. Since tribals living in India were accepted into the Hindu fold their practice still continues though reforms by Shankaracharya had its impact. These tribal practices were commonly criticized as a practice of Hinduism by westerners and other foreigners which is not true. Hinduism allowed their system also to flourish without much intervention. This book shall serve as an eye opener to all especially the younger generation who in the midst of their busy work may not have sufficient time to go deep into the Vedas and realize them. In whatever permissible context I have quoted the relevant portions of the Vedas and other texts to substantiate the authority of the writing. This book has also been written keeping in mind the innumerable NRI families and other foreigners belonging to various religions and cultures, across the globe, who would like to know about Hinduism and its secrets , and who at the same time have not been much exposed to its vast culture. Attempt has been made to analyse every topic to its semantics and explain to the reader for his understanding. Though India is divided by its language it is united by its culture which is Hinduism. However it must be noted that all Indian languages have their base in Sanskrit. The culture of religion was introduced by those ancient seers through epics, puranas emanating from the Vedas. Thus this culture is being experienced by the people in India called as Hindus. Hinduism has been a very tolerant society and over a period of civilizations has assimilated and welcomed many diverse cultures. Hinduism is not a religion in the strict modern sense, but is a composite culture. People living on the other side of river Sindhu were called as Hindus by the Persians (modern Iran) as they shared a common border with the ancient India (now in the region of West Pakistan). In the ancient Persian language they did not have phonetics or syllable for “sa or saa”, hence instead of being called as Sindhus they called as Hindus. “The swastika the early symbol of Hinduism has been widely found in Neolithic European ruins during the past two centuries of archaeological excavations. This has convinced scholars during Past and present that prehistoric Europeans practiced an early form of Hinduism with high spiritual concepts of eternal soul, transmigration, karma, yoga, the third eye and the Nirvana” says Richard Cassaro, Journalist and speaker. Most of us living in the modern age, especially the younger generation , would not have a holistic idea of the practices, science and technology prevalent in this culture especially from vedic times, and therefore this book is an attempt to impart and reveal in a nutshell of the wide beneficial practices prevalent in this ancient culture for the welfare of Humanity.

Download or read book A Solution to a Pointless Life written by Albert Amao Soria Ph.D. and published by AuthorHouse. This book was released on 2023-04-20 with total page 314 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book empowers the reader to awaken his inner power by providing psychological and metaphysical tools for improving their life. Humans should undertake the power dwelling in them and become active co-creators of their personal and social environment. The book is a necessary component in a materialistic post-modern consumeristic society. It focuses on removing the self-loathing ideas imposed by religious organizations and mass media. Moreover, it offers a plausible and coherent theory that answers the old-honored predicament of finding the true purpose of human existence. Blending ideas from philosophers with the popular wisdom of native folklore, Occidental and Oriental sacred scriptures, sociology, metaphysics, philosophy (existentialism), and modern quantum physics, this book reveals that humans should actively participate in the awakening of their consciousness. Having no purpose in life can lead people to a deep psychological depression called existential anxiety. Thus, ignoring the role of man’s importance in the drama of the universe, the lack of a myth or meaning could be tragic and detrimental. Since the dawn of civilization, humans have taken for granted or assumed that they had an inherent purpose in life by being born, which turned out to be a big fallacy. In addition, humans have been brainwashed and domesticated by false ideas creating a herd mentality by the ruling elite. Under these circumstances, how do we humans find authentic meaning in what seems to be a senseless life? Modern philosophy has become increasingly abstract and separate from human beings, unable to offer positive guidance to ordinary people. Finding a purpose in human existence is the primary motivational force for human existence. The ultimate purpose of human existence is to become a conscious god.

Book excerpt: First published in 1952, The Eastern Philosophers provides a straightforward account of the life and work of the great thinkers of the East and attempts to show, in terms intelligible to the ordinary reader, with what remarkable insistence the greatest of these thinkers dwell upon common themes. It discusses themes like Babylonia and Israel; Zoroaster; Hinduism; the Buddha and Buddhism; the Hindu systems; the Chinese Sages and Mohammed and Islam. The book raises three fundamental questions –what are the basic differences between Eastern and Western thought? What does the Western World owe it to the thought of the East and vice versa? In the third place, to what extent is a rapprochement possible between the two worlds of thought? This book is an essential read for students of Philosophy in general and Eastern Philosophy in particular.

This book was released on 2020-01-01 with total page 295 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Mythopoeia has always been a steady proponent in the construct of any socio-cultural order. In contemporary times, owing to the rise of cultural studies, a steady interest in revisionist literary texts has also surfaced. The association of Indian culture and values with a plethora of mythological narratives have made several scholars curious because they do offer an array of new perspectives of understanding the art, aesthetics and also the politics of myths within a larger social, religious and cultural context. Similarly, by exploring the trope of myth, it has been possible to look at other countries' cultures as well. This anthology offers new readings of classical myths across continents and cultures. The anthologized essays have collectively explored the various trends of revisionist literature. Sincere attempts have also been made to highlight the ways in which re-readings of select literary works can admirably transform set notions and ideas of human existence.

The single volume The Upanishads has been discontinued, with all its content included in the two new volumes, each available as an independent book. The Kena Upanishad is concerned with the relation of mind-consciousness to Brahman-consciousness , writes Sri Aurobindo in his commentary on this work. The material world and the physical life exist for us only by virtue of our internal self and our internal life. According as our mental instruments represent to us the external world, according as our vital force in obedience to the mind deals with its impacts and objects, so will be our outward life and existence. Along with Sri Aurobindo's final translation of and commentary on the Kena, this book includes his translations of six other Upanishads as well as several other translations and commentaries, and essays such as 'The Philosophy of the Upanishads'.
