Book excerpt: A hopeful and controversial view of the universe and ourselves based on the principles of quantum physics, offering a way of making our lives and the world better, with a foreword by Deepak Chopra In Infinite Potential, physical chemist Lothar Schäfer presents a stunning view of the universe as interconnected, nonmaterial, composed of a field of infinite potential, and conscious. With his own research as well as that of some of the most distinguished scientists of our time, Schäfer moves us from a reality of Darwinian competition to cooperation, a meaningless universe to a meaningful one, and a disconnected, isolated existence to an interconnected one. In so doing, he shows us that our potential is infinite and calls us to live in accordance with the order of the universe, creating a society based on the cosmic principle of connection, emphasizing cooperation and community.

Book The Master Set Universe

Download or read book The Master Set Universe written by Maxwell Katz and published by Janus Publishing Company Lim. This book was released on 2007 with total page 654 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Master Set Universe is an in-depth investigation, through the realms of Quantum Mechanics and Mathematics, of the concept of the Master Set, an all-encompassing 'every thing', entirely self-referential in nature. Maxwell Katz makes use of a number of analogies to illustrate his themes. The way in which the Master Set projects the illusion of a 'mechanical world', for example, is likened to a computer game, which plays out certain events although, at the same time, it contains infinite possibilities within itself. Meaning and truth are analysed in the light of this Projective Realm. There are no absolutes; meaning is simply a way that we define ourselves, giving us perspective in the way we perceive all 'other'. The overriding feature of the Master Set Universe is its Oneness. From it comes every thing; it is every thing.

Book excerpt: Written by a well-known author in the field, this book presents a modern understanding of the universe based on relativity, quantum physics and their elusive combination. It introduces the crucial theoretical ingredients in an accessible way, starting from the physics of Newton and developing subsequent theories all the way to the modern enigma of quantum gravity. The intermediate level presentation assumes only a general knowledge of math and physics, adopting a "two-level" approach: equations are retained throughout the chapters but set apart from the main text in boxes to allow for lay readers to understand the book. For scientists, researchers, students and lecturers in cosmology, astronomy, gravitation, quantum and theoretical physics; as well as mathematicians, students, lecturers, academics and non-experts in related fields with an interest in the subject.

Book Biocentrism

  • Author : Robert Lanza

Download or read book Biocentrism written by Robert Lanza and published by ReadHowYouWant.com. This book was released on 2011 with total page 298 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Robert Lanza is one of the most respected scientists in the world a US News and World Report cover story called him a genius and a renegade thinker, even likening him to Einstein. Lanza has teamed with Bob Berman, the most widely read astronomer in the world, to produce Biocentrism, a revolutionary new view of the universe. Every now and then a simple yet radical idea shakes the very foundations of knowledge. The startling discovery that the world was not flat challenged and ultimately changed the way people perceived themselves and their relationship with the world. For most humans of the 15th century, the notion of Earth as ball of rock was nonsense. The whole of Western, natural philosophy is undergoing a sea change again, increasingly being forced upon us by the experimental findings of quantum theory, and at the same time, toward doubt and uncertainty in the physical explanations of the universes genesis and structure. Biocentrism completes this shift in worldview, turning the planet upside down again with the revolutionary view that life creates the universe instead of the other way around. In this paradigm, life is not an accidental byproduct of the laws of physics. Biocentrism takes the reader on a seemingly improbable but ultimately inescapable journey through a foreign universe our own from the viewpoints of an acclaimed biologist and a leading astronomer. Switching perspective from physics to biology unlocks the cages in which Western science has unwittingly managed to confine itself. Biocentrism will shatter the readers ideas of life--time and space, and even death. At the same time it will release us from the dull worldview of life being merely the activity of an admixture of carbon and a few other elements; it suggests the exhilarating possibility that life is fundamentally immortal. The 21st century is predicted to be the Century of Biology, a shift from the previous century dominated by physics. It seems fitting, then, to begin the century by turning the universe outside-in and unifying the foundations of science with a simple idea discovered by one of the leading life-scientists of our age. Biocentrism awakens in readers a new sense of possibility, and is full of so many shocking new perspectives that the reader will never see reality the same way again.

D. Available at www.bookfinder.com for $15.95. This book is written for individuals interested in transformational transcendent spiritual development, insight and understanding. Part II of this book also includes 64 Tao of Onliness I Ching commentaries, one for each of the 64 hexagrams of the I Ching. These are intended for use by individuals for Tao of Onliness I Ching consultation. Following are excerpts from this book that characterize its content and perspective: "From Onliness perspective, I Ching consultation is an early-stage form of quiet and solitary meditation-contemplation. Enacted in this way, it can be a means of viewing and better understanding your own intuitive Awareness and Experience. There is nothing ́magical ́ about it; it is not a ́fortune-teller ́ game (i.e., I Ching can not tell you what will happen in the future, but sometimes suggests what potentially, under certain circumstances, could or may happen at some future time). Approached in a peaceful, non-attached, unbiased and open state of mind, I Ching consultation can help you to see into the deeper nature of your own Consciousness." "Tao of Onliness conception is primarily rooted in Mahayana Buddhism (especially Zen Buddhism) and Taoism, with substantial contribution to its formulation and structure based on consultation of the I Ching. However, Onliness also attempts to honor and include expressions of the mystical and transcendental Wisdom and Compassion from all of the widely recognized major spiritual-religious traditions of the world." "Onliness Consciousness concerns the Self of no-self, this Being that is all beings. . . There is here no claim that Onliness theory and perspective is in any sense absolute, ultimate, eternal or universal in any pre-given sense. The co-constructed worldspace realm-waves of consciousness discussed in Onliness are developmental and evolutionary in nature, not pre-created, pre-given, pre-designed or pre-ordained. Rather, Onliness claims that the co-created and co-enacted unfolding of these realm-waves of Spirit ́s transcendent Self-remembering Consciousness emerge and evolve over vast periods of time, gradually establishing themselves as patterned realm-wave stages (worldspaces of consciousness); pathways or "trails" so to speak." "In Onliness, the underlying central message is the same one that was expressed 2,500 years ago by Shakyamuni Buddha upon his Realization of Enlightenment under the Bodhi tree: ́Marvelous! Marvelous! All beings are already fully enlightened! It is only because of their delusion that they don ́t realize this. ́ (Mitchell, 1991). It is a message that is essentially the same as has been variously expressed by many other Sages from different mystical spiritual traditions up to the present day. It is the message of Self-as

Book Global Networks of Power Volume One

Download or read book Global Networks of Power Volume One written by Garrison C. Gibson and published by Lulu.com. This book was released on 2012-03-05 with total page 616 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Global Networks of Power captures an image of social and political substance of 2011 to early 2012. The U.S. Government has made Orwellian hate crimes legislation a general lever to intervene in politically incorrect crimes upon special classes, given the military the right to exfiltrate U.S. citizens without legal review to unspecified foreign torture facilities where they may disappear forever and has forced corporate medical insurance upon all citizens and sought to force all religious organizations to provide birth control paraphernalia to employees through insurers. Following the attack on the rich in the World Trade Center in 2001 American democracy has been progressively stifled and wealth concentrated with onerous public debt building up along with high unemployment. The need for ecological economic reforms are ignored and the government cannot even reform capitalism to benefit American individualism. Gary C. Gibson writes of contemporary affairs from his own point of view.

Download or read book The Conscious Universe written by Menas Kafatos and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2012-12-06 with total page 214 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This discussion resulted from a dialogue which began some seven years ago between a physicist who specializes in astrophysics, general relativity, and the foundations of quantum theory, and a student of cultural history who had done post-doctoral work in the history and philosophy of science. Both of us at that time were awaiting the results of some experiments being conducted under the direction of the physicist Alain Aspect at the University of Paris-South. ! The experiments were the last in a series designed to test some predictions based on a mathematical 2 theorem published in 1964 by John Bell. There was no expectation that the results of these experiments would provide the basis for developing new technologies. The questions which the experiments were designed to answer concerned the relation ship between physical reality and physical theory in the branch of physics known as quantum mechanics. Like most questions raised by physicists which lead to startling new insights, they were disarmingly simple and direct. Is quantum physics, asked Bell, a self-consistent theory whose predictions would hold in a new class of experiments, or would the results reveal that the apparent challenges of quantum physics to the understanding in classical physics of the relationship between physical theory and physical reality were merely illusory? Answering this question in actual experiments could also, suggested Bell, lead to another, quite dramatic, result.

Download or read book The Soul written by James Essig and published by Xlibris Corporation. This book was released on 2017-03-31 with total page 4279 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: I thought that you as reader would enjoy this writing on the great dignity of the human soul. This book offers a sharp contrast to the main topics on which I tend to post and was written and compiled from my heart. I have often posted articles on extremely manned starship technologies, and as a physicist, I will continue to do such. However, I offer this rather long article as a sharing of my personal belief in the transcendent dignity of every human person and by corollary that of any of our ETI brothers and sisters. With modern technological capabilities to monitor the various emotional and mental states of test subjects and the ability to measure and experimentally probe the electric and magnetic fields generated within the human body, we sometimes are tempted to view the human soul as some form of corruptible energy field. We long for a rekindling of a sense of mystery regarding the ephemeral reality of the human soul. This book is motivated as an attempt to restore a sense of mystery in the minds and hearts of any and all persons who will read this post regarding that aspect of our human nature that seems to be beyond validation by modern science, technology, and medicine and which seems to defy certain and precise explanation by philosophers, theologians, and clergyman alike.

Book Black Holes Time Warps Einstein s Outrageous Legacy Commonwealth Fund Book Program

Download or read book Black Holes Time Warps Einstein s Outrageous Legacy Commonwealth Fund Book Program written by Kip Thorne and published by W. W. Norton & Company. This book was released on 1995-01-17 with total page 648 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Winner of the 2017 Nobel Prize in Physics Ever since Albert Einstein's general theory of relativity burst upon the world in 1915 some of the most brilliant minds of our century have sought to decipher the mysteries bequeathed by that theory, a legacy so unthinkable in some respects that even Einstein himself rejected them. Which of these bizarre phenomena, if any, can really exist in our universe? Black holes, down which anything can fall but from which nothing can return; wormholes, short spacewarps connecting regions of the cosmos; singularities, where space and time are so violently warped that time ceases to exist and space becomes a kind of foam; gravitational waves, which carry symphonic accounts of collisions of black holes billions of years ago; and time machines, for traveling backward and forward in time. Kip Thorne, along with fellow theorists Stephen Hawking and Roger Penrose, a cadre of Russians, and earlier scientists such as Oppenheimer, Wheeler and Chandrasekhar, has been in the thick of the quest to secure answers. In this masterfully written and brilliantly informed work of scientific history and explanation, Dr. Thorne, a Nobel Prize-winning physicist and the Feynman Professor of Theoretical Physics Emeritus at Caltech, leads his readers through an elegant, always human, tapestry of interlocking themes, coming finally to a uniquely informed answer to the great question: what principles control our universe and why do physicists think they know the things they think they know? Stephen Hawking's A Brief History of Time has been one of the greatest best-sellers in publishing history. Anyone who struggled with that book will find here a more slowly paced but equally mind-stretching experience, with the added fascination of a rich historical and human component. Winner of the Phi Beta Kappa Award in Science.
