Can Princess Jaylen restore their bond before war tears her kingdom apart? When Jaylen crosses paths with a wounded dragon named Aurelia, she resolves to not only heal her new friend but also prove to her father, the king, that dragons are gentle giants sworn to protect humankind. However, the king is convinced that Aurelia is a dangerous liar—so convinced, in fact, that he would rather betray his own daughter than reforge an ancient alliance. Heartbroken and in hiding, Jaylen must still find a way to secure victory before her father’s rash decree spells their entire kingdom’s downfall. But even as Jaylen races against time, their true enemies are preparing to strike, and they may have a powerful ally of their own... Book 1 of 3 in the Firebound Harmony Series

Book The Evangelical Party and Samuel Taylor Coleridge s Return to the Church of England

Download or read book The Evangelical Party and Samuel Taylor Coleridge s Return to the Church of England written by Christopher Corbin and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2018-12-18 with total page 384 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: It has long been accepted that when Samuel Taylor Coleridge rejected the Unitarianism of his youth and returned to the Church of England, he did so while accepting a general Christian orthodoxy. Christopher Corbin clarifies Coleridge’s religious identity and argues that while Coleridge’s Christian orthodoxy may have been sui generis, it was closely aligned with moderate Anglican Evangelicalism. Approaching religious identity as a kind of culture that includes distinct forms of language and networks of affiliation in addition to beliefs and practices, this book looks for the distinguishable movements present in Coleridge’s Britain to more precisely locate his religious identity than can be done by appeals to traditional denominational divisions. Coleridge’s search for unity led him to desire and synthesize the "warmth" of heart religion (symbolized as Methodism) with the "light" of rationalism (symbolized as Socinianism), and the evangelicalism in the Church of England, being the most chastened of the movement, offered a fitting place from which this union of warmth and light could emerge. His religious identity not only included many of the defining Anglican Evangelical beliefs, such as an emphasis on original sin and the New Birth, but he also shared common polemical opponents, appropriated evangelical literary genres, developed a spirituality centered on the common evangelical emphases of prayer and introspection, and joined Evangelicals in rejecting baptismal regeneration. When placed in a chronological context, Coleridge’s form of Christian orthodoxy developed in conversation with Anglican Evangelicals; moreover, this relationship with Anglican Evangelicalism likely helped facilitate his return to the Church of England. Corbin not only demonstrates the similarities between Coleridge’s relationship to a form of evangelicalism with which most people have little familiarity, but also offers greater insight into the complexities and tensions of religious identity in late eighteenth and early nineteenth century Britain as a whole.

Book excerpt: The Divine Human is the human nature made divine. It is the destiny of all of humanity. The human nature, when made divine by regeneration is the corporeal sensual aspect of the self raised to the spiritual perspective of the higher-self. The intellectual aspect of the mind becomes spiritually regenerated, and then the will begins to feel divine. Our intellectual nature when made spiritual, is termed the “church.” It represents our ability to will spiritual love to others as mutual-love. The goal of the Divine Human is a celestial “church,” when humanity begins to feel loved. This is accomplished by the expansion of the spiritual “church” when it takes on the additional affection of charity, and the sensation of conjugial love gets implanted into the will. The experience is like Cosmic Consciousness or when the intellect gets absorbed into the One Mind. Yet, it is not until the will gets united to the One Body do we begin to feel divine. This experience is like a Samadhi realization when all sense of time and space gets removed from our memory as we unite as One. The entire process is humankind’s destiny as the Age of Aquarius comes into being. We are all transformed while we sleep, and everyone both good and evil get purified as a result. Innocence gets restored to the affection of love, and the world begins to reflect the spiritual plane resulting in peace on earth, as the oneness of the Divine Human.

Book excerpt: No matter what business you're in, at the end of the day, it's all about people. Workers are people, and so are managers. Every day, millions of people wake up, get dressed, and go to work. The fact that all of them do different jobs and have different levels of authority has been used for ages to divide us. The truth of the matter, however, is that we're all just trying to make a living and provide for the ones we love—and that's a powerful common bond. If you can grasp that one concept, you'll have the power to change your world for the better in ways that you never dreamed possible. When you reach people at this fundamental level—letting them know that you care about what's important to them and showing what's in it for them personally when they join forces with you—nothing is beyond your grasp. Unite the Tribes: Ending Turf Wars for Career and Business Success presents the "Ten Pillars of the Empire" for just this purpose. You don't have to become a great charismatic leader to make them work. Each pillar speaks to you as an individual employee and shows you how to improve both your career and the company's bottom line in a practical and organized manner. These principles and tactics are designed for the real world, where things inevitably do not always go right. The pillars are at once practical, sensible, and applicable in the hectic realities of the workplace because they focus on people, which you'll come to see as the most unstoppable force in a company's dynamic. The workforce doesn't have to settle for less any longer. Working together, we have the power to build a better tomorrow. Unite, and be invincible!
