Unlike most Jewish prayerbooks, this prayerbook affirms the messiahship of Yeshua of Nazareth. Unlike most Messianic prayerbooks, this siddur does not include any statement of prayer to Yeshua or any statement making Yeshua out to be God. Unitarian believers in Yeshua now have a liturgical tradition they can be proud of.

Book Messianic Peshitta Siddur for Shabbat

Download or read book Messianic Peshitta Siddur for Shabbat written by Daniel Perek M.A. and published by Strategic Book Publishing & Rights Agency. This book was released on with total page 564 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Messianic Peshitta Siddur for Shabbat is truly a one-of-a-kind Siddur. It features the ancient synagogue/temple rites, prayers, and psalms for worship in the synagogue, for Erev Shabbat in the home, for all High Holy Days, and for daily prayers, including the complete Tehillim/Psalms 1-150 in Hebrew and English. Transliterations for all synagogue and daily prayers are included. The scriptures cited are from “HaDavar, The Word of ????,” a Hebrew and Aramaic Peshitta/English Bible. There is also a table of psalms for each Torah portion from the Parashot. This Siddur is designed for both congregational and in-home worship, and will be invaluable for students of Biblical Hebrew. “Prayer has always been an integral part of Biblical Jewish worship, even though the Torah itself does not explicitly command us to pray. The patriarchs all set the example of praying. According to Jewish tradition, Avraham is seen praying in the morning, Yitz’k?ak at noon, and Ya’akov at night … For all these reasons, and for many more, the Messianic Peshitta Community has adopted a lifestyle of prayer, and it should not cease while we are assembled!”

A siddur is term for a Jewish prayer book, containing a set order of daily prayers. The word siddur comes from the Hebrew and means 'order'. Singer's Siddur has gone through many editions, and is still used in many synagogues and homes.

Book Siddur Sha ar Zahav

  • ISBN : 0982197918

Download or read book Siddur Sha ar Zahav written by Sha’ar Zahav and published by Congregation Sha'ar Zahav. This book was released on 2009-01-01 with total page 517 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Congregation Sha’ar Zahav’s first siddur appeared in 1982. It was revised in 1994and again in 2000. The richness of this siddur, like the Sha’ar Zahav community, is rooted in its integration of Jewish tradition with egalitarian, feminist, and LGBTQ-positive ideas and language. With this edition, we have sought to continue and expand the Sha’ar Zahav tradition of creating liturgy that reflects who we are. The compilers of the 2000 edition wrote: “A Jewish prayer book which had nothing in common with the traditional siddur would lack the wealth of history which connects our worship with Jewish practice around the world and over the centuries. On the other hand, many of us are uncomfortable with some of the imagery and language found in the prayer books of the major Jewish denominations in the United States. With this prayer book, we have attempted to capture the spirit of Jewish liturgy while avoiding the objectionable elements.” When Congregation Sha’ar Zahav was founded in 1977, only a handful of synagogues offered full acceptance to bisexual, transgender, lesbian, gay, and queer-identified Jews. From the outset, Sha’ar Zahav has been a community that is open to all. Sha’ar Zahav is affiliated with the Union for Reform Judaism (URJ), and this siddur reflects many of the innovations of the Reform movement as well as the URJ’s commitment to an evolving liturgical tradition. The members of Congregation Sha’ar Zahav – the authors of most of the new material in this siddur – come from many varied backgrounds, movements, affiliations, traditions, and practices. Some identify with Ashkenazi, Sephardi, or Mizrachi traditions. Some were born into Jewish families, while some chose Judaism. We are young and old and every age in between. We have sought to reflect both our shared traditions and our differences in our liturgy. In order to create a spiritual home for all who choose to enter our gates, and in order to develop a siddur which will continue to resonate with the congregation and reflect our community’s diversity, we have tried to cast a wide liturgical net. We have drawn from the traditions we have been handed, we have sought out sources that have been hidden, and we have tapped the creative gifts of our own community. In this edition, we have been mindful of, and have sought to expand, the principles which have distinguished this siddur in the past: using non-sexist language when referring to both people and God; restoring visibility to women throughout Jewish tradition; speaking directly to the experience of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer-identified people; understanding the concept of Jewish chosenness as uniqueness; envisioning the Messianic time as the fulfillment of tikkun olam, the repair of the world, and seeing ourselves as participants in the holy work of repair. Siddur Sha’ar Zahav includes alternative English versions of prayers, and alternative Hebrew and Aramaic, so that our values can be reflected in all of our languages of prayer. Because of the gravity of altering wording that may be hundreds of years old, we spent considerable time developing guidelines for Hebrew prayers. In keeping with the Sha’ar Zahav tradition, we decided not to remove customary versions of prayers, but to add new versions alongside them. We did not alter any passages taken from the Torah, except to ensure gender inclusivity, which is noted in the text. Nor did we alter prayers such as the Mourners’ Kaddish, which serve so powerfully to connect us to the Jewish people across time and space. Where we did create new Hebrew versions, we followed a set of principles, which are discussed in the appendices. Siddur Sha’ar Zahav endeavors to respect the varied, and at times contradictory, sensibilities of our people and our congregation. Our goal is for all of us – progressive Jews within the Reform movement’s umbrella, regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation – to see ourselves reflected in our liturgy, so that none of us experience the invisibility and exclusion we have historically encountered. Our prayer book attempts to embody the teaching that each of us is created b’tzelem Elohim, “in the image of God.” While we know that not every reading will speak to each of us, we hope that in these pages all of us will find a point of departure for prayer, and for dialogue with the Source of creation.

This book was released on 2019-04-26 with total page 92 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: -Introduction-Since the use of a Siddur came into practice, many people have forgotten how Israelites are to pray to The Father, utilizing a prayer book as their means of communicating with YHUH-Elohim, not desiring and rightfully so, to be seen practicing rabbinics without Messiah Yahusha. This is not the case with the Nazarene Yisraelite Annual Siddur. Rather we have compiled this Siddur in order to get into the presence of the Ruach Ha-Kadosh (Spirit of Set Apartness) as we recite Tehillim (Psalms), The Amidah (The Prayers of Blessing and Supplication), Kaddesh (The Disciple's Prayer) and other prayers, which have been included. This Siddur is not a replacement for personal prayer and guidance by the Spirit of YHUH but rather is meant to establish unity within a congregation. You may have noticed that some prayers are missing from the Siddur, the reason being that some prayers still ask for The Moshiach to be revealed or for Israel to be saved. We as Netzarim Yisraelites, Messianics (Nazarenes), know with full understanding and faith that Yahusha is our Moshiach. Therefore, prayers that ask for Moshiach to be revealed for the first time in our days, as well as the "bircat ha-minim" (the prayer against heretics-ourselves in Judaism's eyes), which refers to the Netzarim, have been omitted. Siddur, which means, "order," referring to the order of the prayers, is a wonderful way for a congregation to be echad (in unity) while coming together in the presence of YHUH-Elohim. However, in the past there has not been a Siddur within the Messianic Yisraelite or Nazarene Yisraelite movement that contains the True Name of Yahusha Ha-Moshiach at the beginning or at the end of a psalm or prayer. Yahusha told us that whatever we ask The Father in His Name would be granted (Yochanan-John) 14:13). He also warned us in Mattityahu (Matthew) 6:7 not to use vain repetitions like the heathen, for they think they will be heard for their much speaking. Unfortunately in the past, the siddur has been misused, making it a book of repetition and rote, rather than praises and offerings to YHUH by one people who actually knew Him in personal relationship. This is why in the Nazarene Yisraelite Annual Siddur all sections contain a prayer in The Name of Yahusha, so that our thoughts and words may reach The Heavenly Father. The prayers in this Siddur should not just be repeated without understanding but rather concentrated upon so that they may be offered to YHUH from the heart (Tehillim-Psalms 9:1). As the redeemed Nazarene Yisraelites-Messianics (Yahudah and Efrayim) from both houses of Yisrael continue to return in larger numbers, we realized that a Siddur should be compiled that would include The True Name of YHUH and not substituted with titles such as Adonai, HaShem, Adoshem, or Elokim. Of course, that includes the Name of His Son, Yahusha Ha-Moshiach. Yahusha the Moshiach's real Name is Yahusha, which means salvation of-from YHUH. The text preserves the Names in Paleo Hebrew! This Siddur will introduce the House of Israel-Efrayim [the returning ten tribes] to only the biblical Hebraic traditions preserved by the House of Yahudah (Judah) and will introduce Yahudah to the full meaning behind every prayer and Psalm, by including the Name of our Savior Yahusha Ha-Moshiach, along with a clear focus on His blessed atoning blood of redemption. It is the sincere prayer of Your Arms of Love To Israel International Ministries, that this Siddur serves you in a powerful way, as you in turn bless the King of all Kings, The Master of the Universe, YHUH and His Son, Yahusha.

Book Shamar Emet Messianic Shabbat

Download or read book Shamar Emet Messianic Shabbat written by David Isaac and published by Createspace Independent Pub. This book was released on 2011-04-03 with total page 220 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This Siddur concentrates on restoring the Shabbat service back to the 1st century C.E. times when the Temple still stood and when Y'shua walked the earth. Unlike most Siddurs, Messianic or Judaism, this Siddur focuses on what was done in Israel in the 1st century C.E. and not what was done in Babylon, as the current Siddurs of today follow. ( The timeline that this Siddur is constructed from is before the first century common era up to the time of the second printed siddur of Saadia Gaon.-about 950 c.e.)As well many Messianic Siddurs whatever their view of what Messianic Judaism is, try to blend their Messianic Judaism with what is being done in current Judaism (Mainly Orthodox), never realizing that current Judaism has gone through numerous changes and only in minor detail still reflects the Second Temple times. In constructing this Siddur, I followed all the Jewish guidelines, protocalls, formulas and goals of all the prayers, but wrote them to reflect belief in Y'shua as the Torah Observant Jewish Messiah. This Siddur contains instructions on how to perform the service along with a running commentary. This Siddur is laid out in order in the index, which shows what is to be sung, what is optional and what pages to add for the service that you are trying to perform. To perform a Shabbat service, use the index and simply go in order of the Shabbat pages and add the optional pages as you desire. The instructions for the service along with a running commentary can be found at the bottom of the appropriate pages.
