V zadnjem delu publikacije so našteti drugi rezultati projekta, od znanstvenih in strokovnih člankov, monografskih publikacij, predavanj, vodenj, delavnic do diseminacije v pedagoškem procesu.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Nick Miller argues in this provocative study that to comprehend Yugoslavia's collapse, we must examine the development and nature of Serbian nationalism, and the typical approaches will not suffice. Serbia's national movement of the 1980s and 1990s, Miller suggests, was not the product of an ancient, immutable, and aggressive Serbian national identity; nor was it an artificial creation of powerful political actors looking to capitalize on its mobilizing power. In examining the work of three influential Serbian intellectuals, Miller argues that cultural processes are too often ignored in favor of political ones; that Serbian intellectuals did work within a historical context, but that they were not slaves to the past; that Serbian history is not a continuous reiteration of static themes. His subjects are Dobrica Cosic (a novelist), Mica Popovic (a painter) and Borislav Mihajlovic Mihiz (a literary critic). These three men were part of a circle of friends who began the postwar with (mostly!) open minds about the promise of the new communist order and who wound up by 1974 as inveterate opponents of the regime and nationalists. Together, the work of these men indicates that nationalism was more than a tool for cynical and needy politicians, and less an ancient bequest than an unsurprising response to real conditions in Tito's Yugoslavia. Book Einf hrung in den Jugoslawischen Marxismus Leninismus

This book was released on 2012-12-06 with total page 218 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book Female Art and Agency in Yugoslavia 1971 2001

Download or read book Female Art and Agency in Yugoslavia 1971 2001 written by Anja Foerschner and published by Bloomsbury Publishing. This book was released on 2024-05-30 with total page 201 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Despite having become marginalized on the map of contemporary art since the wars of the 1990s, the regions of former Yugoslavia continue to be a hub of creative activity. Especially noteworthy is the strong presence of women artists, scholars, and activists whose deeply personal, yet highly political artwork is rooted in a long legacy of female artistic agency. Building on existing scholarship as well as original research, this book highlights how female figures – through art and exhibition making, writing, mentorship, and activism – have shaped the alternative art scene in former Yugoslavia and placed the region firmly on the map of the international post-avantgarde. Using the founding of the Student Cultural Center Belgrade in 1971 as a starting point, the book details the pioneering work of women in the realm of curation, where they developed radical exhibition concepts and programs that furthered the development of the New Art Practice and embedded Yugoslavia firmly on the map of the international postwar-avantgardes. It highlights the agency of female artists in the then-novel realms of performance art, video art, and new media art and shows how their work has helped these disciplines to gain the impact they retain until the present day. What is more, it shows how female cultural workers have courageously used their work to further the discourse on gender, sexuality, and the female body and, at a time when they saw themselves stripped of basic rights by the chauvinist-nationalist regimes emerging after Yugoslavia's breakup, formed a strong artistic and activist opposition. Highlighting the role of women in the diversification of the ex-Yugoslavia states and its highly unique cultural and political landscape, this book addresses the noticeable gap in art historical scholarship that exists not only around Yugoslavia and its successor states, but especially on its female representatives.

Book Hot Art Cold War Southern and Eastern European Writing on American Art 1945 1990

Download or read book Hot Art Cold War Southern and Eastern European Writing on American Art 1945 1990 written by Claudia Hopkins and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2020-12-21 with total page 836 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Hot Art, Cold War – Southern and Eastern European Writing on American Art 1945-1990 is one of two text anthologies that trace the reception of American art in Europe during the Cold War era through primary sources. Translated into English for the first time from sixteen languages and introduced by scholarly essays, the texts in this volume offer a representative selection of the diverse responses to American art in Portugal, Italy, Spain, Greece, Yugoslavia, Romania, Bulgaria, Soviet Union (including the Baltic States), Czechoslovakia, Poland, Hungary, and East Germany (GDR). There was no single European discourse, as attitudes to American art were determined by a wide range of ideological, political, social, cultural and artistic positions that varied considerably across the European nations. This volume and its companion, Hot Art, Cold War – Northern and Western European Writing on American Art 1945-1990, offer the reader a unique opportunity to compare how European art writers introduced and explained contemporary American art to their many and varied audiences. Whilst many are fluent in one or two foreign languages, few are able to read all twenty-five languages represented in the two volumes. These ground-breaking publications significantly enrich the fields of American art studies and European art criticism.

Book The Magus Kundalini and the Golden Dawn Srpski Prevod

Download or read book The Magus Kundalini and the Golden Dawn Srpski Prevod written by Neven Paar and published by Winged Shoes Publishing. This book was released on 2024-05-04 with total page 399 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Magus: Kundalini and the Golden Dawn je kulminacija mog duhovnog putovanja kroz Tradiciju Zapadnih Misterija nakon doživljenog potpunog i trajnog buđenja Kundalini. Ovi programi idu ruku pod ruku sa predavanjima znanja o Kabali, Pet Elemenata, Sedam Čakri, Astrologiji, Tarotu, Gatanju, Meditaciji, Hermetičkoj Filozofiji i Alhemiji, Hrišćanskim i Egipatskim Misterijama, Enohijanskoj Magiji i još mnogo toga. Kada postanete najbolja verzija sebe, možete postati heroj svoje priče i doživeti radost i uzbuđenje života.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In less than half a century, the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia successfully defeated Fascist occupation, fended off dominating pressures from the Eastern and Western blocs, built a modern society on the ashes of war, created its own form of socialism, and led the formation of the Nonaligned Movement. This country's principles and its continued battles, fought against all odds, provided the basis for dynamic and exceptional forms of art. Drawing on archival materials, postcolonial theory, and Eastern European socialist studies, Nonaligned Modernism chronicles the emergence of late modernist artistic practices in Yugoslavia from the end of the Second World War to the mid-1980s. Situating Yugoslav modernism within postcolonial artistic movements of the twentieth century, Bojana Videkanic explores how cultural workers collaborated with others from the Global South to create alternative artistic and cultural networks that countered Western hegemony. Videkanic focuses primarily on art exhibitions along with examples of international cultural exchange to demonstrate that nonaligned art wove together politics and aesthetics, and indigenous, Western, and global influences. An interdisciplinary book, Nonaligned Modernism highlights Yugoslavia's key role in the creation of a global modernist ethos and international postcolonial culture.

Book Art and its Responses to Changes in Society

Download or read book Art and its Responses to Changes in Society written by Martin Germ and published by Cambridge Scholars Publishing. This book was released on 2016-08-17 with total page 250 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Art and its Responses to Changes in Society brings together studies of young researchers dealing with the topics of decline, transformation, and rebirth from various points of view, characteristic of several different fields of the humanities and social sciences, in order to yield new insights into the analyzed subjects. The topics discussed here are diverse: on the one hand, several chapters deal with the metamorphosis of particular pictorial or architectural motifs and concepts, while on the other, studies are included that are dedicated to the analysis of the opera of individual artists, to various periods in architecture and landscape architecture, and to national and state commissions in art, as well as representations of WW2 atrocities in Yugoslavia and attempts to artistically reaffirm Christian symbolism after the end of socialism. As such, the book entails diverse scientific perceptions of art and society, from antiquity to modernity, from architecture to moving picture, from the USA to Yugoslavia, and from research on an object to observations on a concept.
