Book Introducing You to Your Own Perfection

Download or read book Introducing You to Your Own Perfection written by Akash Sky and published by John Hunt Publishing. This book was released on 2023-03-31 with total page 234 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Introducing You to Your Own Perfection is aimed at the reader who has an interest in transforming their self-awareness to gain inner love, peace and joy at every moment of their life. Working with the world-famous universal spiritual teaching called A Course in Miracles, we become mindful of who we are. Are you a body? Are you an accumulation of experience and past thoughts? Are you a person independent from everything and everyone in this world? In this book, self-aware author Akash Sky continuously investigates the individual we think we are. The conclusion is that as we dissolve our personal identity we arrive at a state of nothingness, which is the beginning of pure existence. This knowing unites us with love's presence and covers us in peace. Sky shows us that through understanding what we are, what our origin is and where we are now, we can arrive back to our natural joyous state of mind by holy forgiveness with the higher self. Introducing You to Your Own Perfection offers an open discussion about self-realisation, with enjoyable analogies presented throughout.

Download or read book Ashtar s The Space Brothers Speak written by Sean Casteel and published by Inner Light/Global Communications. This book was released on 2019-08-06 with total page 202 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: WELCOME ON BOARD THE MOTHERSHIP THE ASHTAR COMMAND WANTS YOU! SHOULD THERE BE A GLOBAL DISASTER - SUCH AS A NUCLEAR WAR OR POLE SHIFT - THE "CHOSEN' WILL BE TAKEN TO A SAFE HARBOR IN SPACE At this very moment, thousands of friendly space beings, sometimes referred to as the Cosmic Brotherhood, or the Federation of Planets, are patrolling our atmosphere on a mission of salvation as they seek to expand the consciousness of humanity and to lessen global tensions. Led by the gallant Ashtar, it is believed by his followers that that these highly advanced beings could at a moment's notice remove from the planet a sizable portion of humanity identified as the "Chosen Ones" - those attuned with the cosmos and its universal laws - who would be taken to a safe port in a distant solar system. Although he is an Etherian, a nonphysical being, Ashtar and his comrades take on the appearance of royal-looking humans. So say those who have had face-to-face contact, including New York City contactee Marc Brinkerhoff, who describes Ashtar's appearance thusly: "His presence is trustful, commanding, confident and calming when I have met him during out-of-body visits to the teaching spaceships around the Earth, and on August 10, 2015 when I physically met him in person. Ashtar also has a sense of humor when I have seen him speaking at some of the Galactic meetings. "Ashtar projects himself as an Adamic High Etherian Universal space being and he resembles a form he had on Venus many thousands of Earth years ago. He is known in space in the same way that his Oversoul appears, or looks, on the Higher Dimensions. He has kind, intense, beautiful blue eyes with flecks of turquoise in them. Ashtar usually has golden blonde hair to dark golden blonde smooth to wavy hair that falls from 4 to 8 inches past his shoulders." Though Ashtar is Aryan-looking, his massive star fleet membership consists of a multitude of forms, shapes, sizes and colors, presenting themselves as a united, rainbow coalition of benign entities, many of whom take on physical form upon contacting their "Space Channelers" in every earthly land. The history of channeling is presented from the days of ancient Greece and the seer known as the Oracle of Delphi, to the works of "Oahspe" and a "Dweller On Two Planets," (which was responsible for bringing the actress Shirley MacLaine into the New Age fold). More recently, the first appearance of Ashtar upon the scene was in the late 1940s, when contact was established with an associate of billionaire Howard Hughes. The manager of an isolated airport in the Mojave Desert, George Van Tassel, witnessed the landing of a spaceship and shortly thereafter began going into a light trance, allowing Ashtar to take control of his vocal chords, after which Tassel began coming forth with messages that were to be presented to a wide audience. It was an audience who believed in the Space Brothers' cause and were willing to heed the warnings and spiritual advice disseminated through their representatives, which were soon to grow in number. This volume is more than unique. It presents a grand overview of Ashtar and his Commanders as well as messages from his special spokespersons, including Tuella, his primary representative. This work also includes transmissions from many of the individual planets in this solar system, the inhabitants of which operate on a "higher vibrational level," making them normally invisible to the human eye, except the most closely connected. There is also fabulous artwork by Carol Ann Rodriguez of a number of these enlightened souls, as well as overviews by Hercules Invictus, Tim Beckley and Sean Casteel.

Book excerpt: New York Times Bestseller | Wall Street Journal Bestseller | Publishers Weekly Bestseller | Publishers Marketplace 2020 Buzz Book | Amazon Best Book of the Year | Longlisted for the 2022 PEN/E.O. Wilson Literary Science Writing Award “Provocative and thrilling ... Loeb asks us to think big and to expect the unexpected.” —Alan Lightman, New York Times bestselling author of Einstein’s Dreams and Searching for Stars on an Island in Maine Harvard’s top astronomer lays out his controversial theory that our solar system was recently visited by advanced alien technology from a distant star. In late 2017, scientists at a Hawaiian observatory glimpsed an object soaring through our inner solar system, moving so quickly that it could only have come from another star. Avi Loeb, Harvard’s top astronomer, showed it was not an asteroid; it was moving too fast along a strange orbit, and left no trail of gas or debris in its wake. There was only one conceivable explanation: the object was a piece of advanced technology created by a distant alien civilization. In Extraterrestrial, Loeb takes readers inside the thrilling story of the first interstellar visitor to be spotted in our solar system. He outlines his controversial theory and its profound implications: for science, for religion, and for the future of our species and our planet. A mind-bending journey through the furthest reaches of science, space-time, and the human imagination, Extraterrestrial challenges readers to aim for the stars—and to think critically about what’s out there, no matter how strange it seems.

Book How to Change Your Mind

Download or read book How to Change Your Mind written by Michael Pollan and published by Penguin. This book was released on 2018-05-15 with total page 481 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: “Pollan keeps you turning the pages . . . cleareyed and assured.” —New York Times A #1 New York Times Bestseller, New York Times Book Review 10 Best Books of 2018, and New York Times Notable Book A brilliant and brave investigation into the medical and scientific revolution taking place around psychedelic drugs--and the spellbinding story of his own life-changing psychedelic experiences When Michael Pollan set out to research how LSD and psilocybin (the active ingredient in magic mushrooms) are being used to provide relief to people suffering from difficult-to-treat conditions such as depression, addiction and anxiety, he did not intend to write what is undoubtedly his most personal book. But upon discovering how these remarkable substances are improving the lives not only of the mentally ill but also of healthy people coming to grips with the challenges of everyday life, he decided to explore the landscape of the mind in the first person as well as the third. Thus began a singular adventure into various altered states of consciousness, along with a dive deep into both the latest brain science and the thriving underground community of psychedelic therapists. Pollan sifts the historical record to separate the truth about these mysterious drugs from the myths that have surrounded them since the 1960s, when a handful of psychedelic evangelists inadvertently catalyzed a powerful backlash against what was then a promising field of research. A unique and elegant blend of science, memoir, travel writing, history, and medicine, How to Change Your Mind is a triumph of participatory journalism. By turns dazzling and edifying, it is the gripping account of a journey to an exciting and unexpected new frontier in our understanding of the mind, the self, and our place in the world. The true subject of Pollan's "mental travelogue" is not just psychedelic drugs but also the eternal puzzle of human consciousness and how, in a world that offers us both suffering and joy, we can do our best to be fully present and find meaning in our lives.

By drawing on issues at the core of contemporary archaeology and anthropology, we can be much better prepared for contact with an extraterrestrial civilization, should that day ever come.

Book The Grand Biocentric Design

Download or read book The Grand Biocentric Design written by Robert Lanza and published by BenBella Books. This book was released on 2020-11-17 with total page 280 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: What if life isn't just a part of the universe . . . what if it determines the very structure of the universe itself? The theory that blew your mind in Biocentrism and Beyond Biocentrism is back, with brand-new research revealing the startling truth about our existence. What is consciousness? Why are we here? Where did it all come from—the laws of nature, the stars, the universe? Humans have been asking these questions forever, but science hasn't succeeded in providing many answers—until now. In The Grand Biocentric Design, Robert Lanza, one of Time Magazine's "100 Most Influential People," is joined by theoretical physicist Matej Pavšic and astronomer Bob Berman to shed light on the big picture that has long eluded philosophers and scientists alike. This engaging, mind-stretching exposition of how the history of physics has led us to Biocentrism—the idea that life creates reality-takes readers on a step-by-step adventure into the great science breakthroughs of the past centuries, from Newton to the weirdness of quantum theory, culminating in recent revelations that will challenge everything you think you know about our role in the universe. This book offers the most complete explanation of the science behind Biocentrism to date, delving into the origins of the memorable principles introduced in previous books in this series, as well as introducing new principles that complete the theory. The authors dive deep into topics including consciousness, time, and the evidence that our observations-or even knowledge in our minds-can affect how physical objects behave. The Grand Biocentric Design is a one-of-a-kind, groundbreaking explanation of how the universe works, and an exploration of the science behind the astounding fact that time, space, and reality itself, all ultimately depend upon us.

Book The Lawyer s Myth

    Book Details:
  • Author : Walter Bennett
  • Publisher : University of Chicago Press
  • Release : 2010-02-15
  • ISBN : 0226042561
  • Pages : 254 pages

Download or read book The Lawyer s Myth written by Walter Bennett and published by University of Chicago Press. This book was released on 2010-02-15 with total page 254 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Lawyers today are in a moral crisis. The popular perception of the lawyer, both within the legal community and beyond, is no longer the Abe Lincoln of American mythology, but is often a greedy, cynical manipulator of access and power. In The Lawyer's Myth, Walter Bennett goes beyond the caricatures to explore the deeper causes of why lawyers are losing their profession and what it will take to bring it back. Bennett draws on his experience as a lawyer, judge, and law teacher, as well as upon oral histories of lawyers and judges, in his exploration of how and why the legal profession has lost its ennobling mythology. Effectively using examples from history, philosophy, psychology, mythology, and literature, Bennett shows that the loss of professionalism is more than merely the emergence of win-at-all-cost strategies and a scramble for personal wealth. It is something more profound—a loss of professional community and soul. Bennett identifies the old heroic myths of American lawyers and shows how they informed the values of professionalism through the middle of the last century. He shows why, in our more diverse society, those myths are inadequate guides for today's lawyers. And he also discusses the profession's agony over its trickster image and demonstrates how that archetype is not only a psychological reality, but a necessary component of a vibrant professional mythology for lawyers. At the heart of Bennett's eloquently written book is a call to reinvigorate the legal professional community. To do this, lawyers must revive their creative capacities and develop a meaningful, professional mythology—one based on a deeper understanding of professionalism and a broader, more compassionate ideal of justice.

Book The Periodic Table

Download or read book The Periodic Table written by Primo Levi and published by Everyman's Library. This book was released on 1996-10-01 with total page 279 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Periodic Table is largely a memoir of the years before and after Primo Levi’s transportation from his native Italy to Auschwitz as an anti-Facist partisan and a Jew. It recounts, in clear, precise, unfailingly beautiful prose, the story of the Piedmontese Jewish community from which Levi came, of his years as a student and young chemist at the inception of the Second World War, and of his investigations into the nature of the material world. As such, it provides crucial links and backgrounds, both personal and intellectual, in the tremendous project of remembrance that is Levi’s gift to posterity. But far from being a prologue to his experience of the Holocaust, Levi’s masterpiece represents his most impassioned response to the events that engulfed him. The Periodic Table celebrates the pleasures of love and friendship and the search for meaning, and stands as a monument to those things in us that are capable of resisting and enduring in the face of tyranny.

Book Why People Believe Weird Things

Download or read book Why People Believe Weird Things written by Michael Shermer and published by Holt Paperbacks. This book was released on 2002-09-01 with total page 382 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "This sparkling book romps over the range of science and anti-science." --Jared Diamond, author of Guns, Germs, and Steel Revised and Expanded Edition. In this age of supposed scientific enlightenment, many people still believe in mind reading, past-life regression theory, New Age hokum, and alien abduction. A no-holds-barred assault on popular superstitions and prejudices, with more than 80,000 copies in print, Why People Believe Weird Things debunks these nonsensical claims and explores the very human reasons people find otherworldly phenomena, conspiracy theories, and cults so appealing. In an entirely new chapter, "Why Smart People Believe in Weird Things," Michael Shermer takes on science luminaries like physicist Frank Tippler and others, who hide their spiritual beliefs behind the trappings of science. Shermer, science historian and true crusader, also reveals the more dangerous side of such illogical thinking, including Holocaust denial, the recovered-memory movement, the satanic ritual abuse scare, and other modern crazes. Why People Believe Strange Things is an eye-opening resource for the most gullible among us and those who want to protect them.
