Book Two dimensional event set and its application in algebraic structures

Download or read book Two dimensional event set and its application in algebraic structures written by Y.B. Jun and published by Infinite Study. This book was released on with total page 13 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Two dimensional event set is introduced, and it is applied to algebraic structures. Two dimensional BCK/BCI-eventful algebra, paired B-algebra and paired BCK/BCI-algebra are de ned, and several properties are investigated. Conditions for two dimensional eventful algebra to be a B-algebra and a BCK/BCI-algebra are provided. The process of inducing a paired B-algebra using a group is discussed. Using two dimensional BCI-eventful algebra, a commutative group is established.

Book Finite and Infinite Combinatorics in Sets and Logic

Download or read book Finite and Infinite Combinatorics in Sets and Logic written by Norbert W Sauer and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 1993-07-31 with total page 482 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This volume contains the accounts of papers delivered at the Nato Advanced Study Institute on Finite and Infinite Combinatorics in Sets and Logic held at the Banff Centre, Alberta, Canada from April 21 to May 4, 1991. As the title suggests the meeting brought together workers interested in the interplay between finite and infinite combinatorics, set theory, graph theory and logic. It used to be that infinite set theory, finite combinatorics and logic could be viewed as quite separate and independent subjects. But more and more those disciplines grow together and become interdependent of each other with ever more problems and results appearing which concern all of those disciplines. I appreciate the financial support which was provided by the N. A. T. O. Advanced Study Institute programme, the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada and the Department of Mathematics and Statistics of the University of Calgary. 11l'te meeting on Finite and Infinite Combinatorics in Sets and Logic followed two other meetings on discrete mathematics held in Banff, the Symposium on Ordered Sets in 1981 and the Symposium on Graphs and Order in 1984. The growing inter-relation between the different areas in discrete mathematics is maybe best illustrated by the fact that many of the participants who were present at the previous meetings also attended this meeting on Finite and Infinite Combinatorics in Sets and Logic.

Book An Introduction to Kolmogorov Complexity and Its Applications

Download or read book An Introduction to Kolmogorov Complexity and Its Applications written by Ming Li and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2013-04-18 with total page 550 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: With this book, the authors are trying to present in a unified treatment an introduction to the central ideas and their applications of the Kolmogorov Complexity, the theory dealing with the quantity of information in individual objects. This book is appropriate for either a one- or two-semester introductory course in departments of computer science, mathematics, physics, probability theory and statistics, artificial intelligence, and philosophy. Although the mathematical theory of Kolmogorov complexity contains sophisticated mathematics, the amount of math one needs to know to apply the notions in widely divergent areas, is very little. The authors' purpose is to develop the theory in detail and outline a wide range of illustrative applications. This book is an attempt to grasp the mass of fragmented knowledge of this fascinating theory. Chapter 1 is a compilation of material on the diverse notations and disciplines we draw upon in order to make the book self-contained. The mathematical theory of Kolmogorov complexity is treated in chapters 2-4; the applications are treated in chapters 4-8.

Book Research Issues in the Learning and Teaching of Algebra

Download or read book Research Issues in the Learning and Teaching of Algebra written by Sigrid Wagner and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2018-12-07 with total page 300 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: First Published in 1989. We clearly know more today about teaching and learning mathematics than we did twenty years ago, and we are beginning to see the effects of this new knowledge at the classroom level. In particular, we can point to several significant sets of studies based on emerging theoretical frameworks. To establish such a framework, researchers must be provided with the opportunity to exchange and refine their ideas and viewpoints. Conferences held in Georgia and Wisconsin during the seventies serve as examples of the role such meetings can play in providing a vehicle for increased communication, synthesis, summary, and cross-disciplinary fertilization among researchers working within a specialized area of mathematical learning. This monograph holds selected papers from four more recent conferences on Research Agenda in Mathematics Education.

Book Handbook of Research on Advances and Applications of Fuzzy Sets and Logic

Download or read book Handbook of Research on Advances and Applications of Fuzzy Sets and Logic written by Broumi, Said and published by IGI Global. This book was released on 2022-03-04 with total page 944 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Fuzzy logic, which is based on the concept of fuzzy set, has enabled scientists to create models under conditions of imprecision, vagueness, or both at once. As a result, it has now found many important applications in almost all sectors of human activity, becoming a complementary feature and supporter of probability theory, which is suitable for modelling situations of uncertainty derived from randomness. Fuzzy mathematics has also significantly developed at the theoretical level, providing important insights into branches of traditional mathematics like algebra, analysis, geometry, topology, and more. With such widespread applications, fuzzy sets and logic are an important area of focus in mathematics. The Handbook of Research on Advances and Applications of Fuzzy Sets and Logic studies recent theoretical advances of fuzzy sets and numbers, fuzzy systems, fuzzy logic and their generalizations, extensions, and more. This book also explores the applications of fuzzy sets and logic applied to science, technology, and everyday life to further provide research on the subject. This book is ideal for mathematicians, physicists, computer specialists, engineers, practitioners, researchers, academicians, and students who are looking to learn more about fuzzy sets, fuzzy logic, and their applications.

Book Positive Systems Theory and Applications

Download or read book Positive Systems Theory and Applications written by Luca Benvenuti and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2003-07-25 with total page 428 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The proceedings of the First Multidisciplinary International Symposium on Positive Systems Theory and Applications (POSTA 2003) held in Rome, Italy, August 28-30, 2003. Positive Systems are systems in which the relevant variables assume nonnegative values. These systems are quite common in applications where variables represent positive quantities such as populations, goods, money, time, data packets flowing in a network, densities of chemical species, probabilities, etc. The aim of the symposium was to join together researchers working in the different areas related to positive systems such as telecommunications, economy, biomedicine, chemistry and physics in order to provide a multidisciplinary forum where they have the opportunity to exchange ideas and compare results in a unifying framework.
