The various important places we were to touch were arranged like so many coupons measuring a half yard in length, and our imagination clothed them with an interest rightfully their due. I entrusted this treasure (the loss of which would render me undone) to the most secret corner of my purse and breathed a prayer that some innate necromancy might surround it and avert my sudden ejection from the cars at some lone spot for whrch my inclinations were not bound. The ap pointed time ch'ew near. Was there ever such happiness that the shadow of a doubt did not cloud? There was yet the parting from one I held most dear ere I could launch myself on this sea of prospective happiness. One sigh from the bosom I loved best to rest upon, effectually vanquished my carefully constructed air castles and I realized truly that home was the dearest spot on earth to me.
