Download or read book The Queen of the Northwest written by Javier Montes Gómez and published by Babelcube Inc.. This book was released on 2017-11-18 with total page 116 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The death of a mysterious young woman in a quiet Orensan neighbourhood, will drag a young investigator through a dark world of corruption and intrigue. This is not just the story of a crime, it is also the story of two friends who have chosen different paths. One that of the good: journalism and writing, the other that of the evil: drug trafficking and organized crime. Sentenced to eight years in prison, Lucia decides to hide under a false identity in the mountains, far from the city, where she wouldn’t be easily recognized. There she is reunited with her old childhood friend Mireia, behind were the days when Lucia and her gang controlled the streets: the sidewalks trembled as she passed and the politicians on duty ate from her hand. The novel is a tribute to the American black cinema, to the luxurious slums that hide a mystical background of corruption and deception. The criminal intrigue is entangled in a meticulous and infallible rhythm. Lucia was trapped in the system, she knew from experience that once inside it was impossible to leave, “Families” would never allow her to leave the world of narcotics. No one important would ever escape from the circle. This had always been and would continue to be until death, "once inside it is impossible to leave," her father had warned her at first. But she never wanted to hear that warning.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Discover Jesus' goals of togetherness, oneness, and unity in an increasingly divided world. When you learn to confront the areas in your heart that might not love as Jesus loved, you can help build a flourishing, Christ-like culture. Throughout his ministry, Jesus specifically bridged the gap with the ostracized, outcast, and overlooked. He told his followers to do the same. The gospel message is for everyone—and our mission as believers is to make disciples of Jesus, not duplicates of ourselves. This requires us to live and love beyond our preferences, to build relationships with those who are different from us, and to go beyond the boundaries of unspoken rules and invisible lines. It's time to break the strongholds of division that have been passed down from generation to generation. In Love Outside the Lines, Jimmy Rollins will expand the gospel message of Christ beyond the lines of cultural norms, show us how to follow in Jesus' footsteps by moving away from racial stereotypes and moving toward things that unite us, empower a culture of people willing to be part of the conversation on racial reconciliation, help us embrace the kingdom truth that we are better together than we are divided, and exemplify a life of dynamic diversity at church, work, and home. Join Jimmy on a powerful journey to rediscover the discipleship of diversity that leads to unity. Together, we will confront our comfort-zone barriers—both known and unknown—and take a detour to pursue the kind of diverse relationships and honest dialog that build a flourishing Christ culture.

Book Psychiatric Nursing Care Plans E Book

Download or read book Psychiatric Nursing Care Plans E Book written by Katherine M. Fortinash and published by Elsevier Health Sciences. This book was released on 2006-05-16 with total page 592 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The most comprehensive psychiatric nursing care planning text available assists students and practitioners in providing effective care in a variety of settings. Clear presentation of information, consistent use of the nursing process, correlation of nursing and medical diagnoses, and prioritization of interventions make this text an invaluable resource. Grounded in the latest classification of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-IV-TR) and the most current list of NANDA-approved nursing diagnoses, this text covers a wide range of disorders, their psychopathology, and appropriate nursing interventions with rationales. Care plans use real clinical situations and include therapeutic and nontherapeutic dialogue examples to familiarize nurses with likely scenarios and equip them with the tools they need to feel confident in any clinical setting. The first chapter, The Nursing Process, effectively describes the central principles of psychiatric nursing practice in detailing the ANA's six-step nursing process along with additional information on therapeutic nurse-client communication skills, client history and assessment tools, NIC and NOC, and more. The six-step nursing process format is maintained throughout to emphasize a practice-oriented, problem-solving approach to psychiatric care. Major psychiatric disorders are reviewed consistently and completely with sections including Etiology, Epidemiology, Assessment and Diagnostic Criteria, Interventions, and Prognosis and Discharge Criteria. With this basis of knowledge, relevant care plans are offered in the second section of each chapter. Care plans based on DSM-IV-TR medical and NANDA nursing diagnoses are logically and consistently organized with Assessment Data, Outcome Criteria, Planning and Implementation, and Evaluation sections. Assessment Data sections include detailed related factors (etiology) and defining characteristics or risk factors as appropriate for the specific diagnosis. Outcome Criteria sections give the reader clear indications of the desired end state. Planning and Implementation sections list specific, relevant, and practical nursing interventions with rationales in a clear, comprehensible two-column format. UNIQUE! Therapeutic and non-therapeutic dialogue examples are presented throughout to promote more effective client communication. Evaluation sections state the role of outcome evaluation as a critical and ongoing step in the nursing process. Client and Family Teaching boxes include Nurse Needs to Know and Teach Client and Family sections covering all aspects of post-treatment instructions for clients and caregivers. DSM-IV-TR boxes list all related DSM-IV-TR diagnoses for quick reference. Helpful appendices contain information and strategies that are timely and useful in the care of clients with mental and emotional disorders including such topics as psychiatric and psychosocial therapies, grief and loss, spirituality, and many more.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Darkness Without Limits is a poetic, haunting and unforgettable novel about a boy’s upbringing in a small rural village from the age of ten until he is twenty. He lives a life in constant fear, of other people, of not having any future and of a darkness inside him that makes his world increasingly unreal. After high school, the boy spends a restless summer with a group of outsiders that challenges his worldview and sanity. The novel follows his slow descent into darkness and his attempt to fight the evil inside him. Peter Legård writes with great insight into the world of children and youth and with the feeling that there are no ‘ordinary people’. Despite the dark themes, this novel ultimately concerns our shared humanity and that there is always hope.

Book The Suffering Servant Exalted

Download or read book The Suffering Servant Exalted written by Lee Kah Wor and published by Lee Kah Wor. This book was released on 2020-04-18 with total page 216 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book serves as a documentation of what a recipient of the mercy and grace of Elohim has found convincing from His written Word. God is love. I have the utmost respect for the gift of free choice from the loving Father God. This is the fifth and final volume of "The Messianic Credentials" series. This series is not about what the right choice should be. It would be ludicrously futile to debate over such a thing as it is a matter of perception. In the process of putting this series together, I realized that God (Elohim) did not write what we like to hear. He wrote what we need to hear. This is because love corrects (Proverbs 3:12 and Hebrews 12:6). And God is love (1 John 4:8 and 1 John 4:16). He wrote the Bible out of His Spirit of love. In view of the above, I have written this series to relay that same Spirit. It is an appeal to consider reunion with God the loving Father from the perspective of the salvation wrought through Christ crucified. The love of God will bring about a change in perspective. In the words of Romans 2:4, it is the kindness of God that leads to repentance. As a caveat, this series is to be read with an open mind. It is meant to present the state of things from a Biblical perspective with no malicious and derogative intent. Any perception to the contrary is highly unfortunate and/or regrettable. The quality and success of an occasion hinges on the amount of preparation that goes into it. The ultimate sacrificial lamb was tested and proven to be without spot or blemish. In this fifth volume, you will get to see how God prepared Jesus of Nazareth to be the perfect sacrificial Lamb from even before birth. He was well prepared, so to speak, before being deployed as the Perfect sacrifice for sin. For the lack of a better example, just relate to how one would prepare the turkey for Thanksgiving. We have been purchased with the precious blood of a spotless and unblemished sacrificial lamb (1 Peter 1:19). You will also get to see a biblical example of deployment without prior preparation.
