This report begins with a brief overview of the Terrane's geological setting and a description of the stratigraphy and lithology of the rock units of its two constituent formations, the Cambrian Goldenville Formation and the Ordovician Halifax Formation. This is followed by description of Meguma Group geologic structure, metamorphism, gold veins, mineralization, isotopic content, hydrothermal alteration, and gold mineralization. The three types of gold mineralization and examples of their occurrence are detailed. Finally, the relationship between stratigraphy and deposit distribution is discussed.
