Book excerpt: Ce mémoire présente un ensemble de résultats issus de l'analyse temps-fréquence par transformations de la classe de Cohen de signaux à modulations numériques d'amplitude, de fréquence et de phase (ask, fsk, psk). Dans une première phase l'intérêt des transformations temps-fréquence pour la description de la structure des signaux à modulations numériques est mis en évidence, en particulier dans la compréhension des déphasages, en recherchant une transformation simple d'utilisation et d'interprétation. Pour cela, les différentes composantes de la distribution de wigner-ville d'un modèle de signal sont interprétées. Puis, en se plaçant dans le plan des ambigüités, deux transformations visuellement claires, permettant de réduire efficacement les termes interférentiels sont dégagées: le spectrogramme et la transformation de zhao-atlas-marks. Leur choix résulte de la structure de leur fonction de pondération et de la fonction d'ambigüité des signaux. Dans une autre phase, une classification automatique des signaux à modulations numériques est proposée à partir du spectrogramme, de la façon suivante: extraction de caractéristiques discriminantes typiques des modulations, puis reconnaissance bayésienne utilisant un apprentissage préalable sur signaux simulés. L'extension à un corpus plus large de signaux modules s'est traduit par de bonnes performances dépassant les 90 pour cent de bien classés.
