Book ETUDE DE LA DEFORMATION DU CORTEGE ELECTRONIQUE EN PRESENCE D UN CHAMP MAGNETIQUE INTENSE

Download or read book ETUDE DE LA DEFORMATION DU CORTEGE ELECTRONIQUE EN PRESENCE D UN CHAMP MAGNETIQUE INTENSE written by PATRICE.. POURRE and published by . This book was released on 1998 with total page 106 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: LES PROPRIETES DES ATOMES EN CHAMP MAGNETIQUE RELEVENT DE PLUSIEURS DOMAINES COMME L'ASTROPHYSIQUE, LA PHYSIQUE DE LA MATIERE CONDENSEE, LA PHYSIQUE DES PLASMAS, LA PHYSIQUE ATOMIQUE OU LA PHYSIQUE DES SOLIDES. LE BUT DE CETTE THESE EST DE RESOUDRE L'EQUATION DE SCHRODINGER EN PRESENCE D'UN CHAMP MAGNETIQUE ARBITRAIREMENT FORT. NOUS AVONS FAIT LE CHOIX DE LA METHODE HARTREE-FOCK POUR RESOUDRE NOTRE PROBLEME. EN GENERAL, DANS CE TYPE DE METHODE, LES FONCTIONS DE BASE SONT DES ORBITALES DE SLATER OU DES GAUSSIENNES. NOUS AVONS DECIDE D'UTILISER DES FONCTIONS SOLUTIONS DE L'ATOME SANS CHAMP. POUR CELA, ON RESOUT LES EQUATIONS DE KOHN-SHAM. LE CHANGEMENT DE SYMETRIE PROVOQUE PAR LE CHAMP (SPHERIQUE CYLINDRIQUE, DE 0 A 10#7 T) OBLIGE L'UTILISATION DE BASES DE PLUS EN PLUS IMPORTANTES. POUR REDUIRE LE NOMBRE DE FONCTIONS DANS LE DEVELOPPEMENT, NOUS AVONS SIMULE L'EFFET DU CHAMP MAGNETIQUE SUR L'ANISOTROPIE DE LA FONCTION D'ONDE EN MULTIPLIANT LES FONCTIONS DE BASE PAR UN FACTEUR GAUSSIEN. ON PEUT SE RESTREINDRE AINSI A UNE BASE LIMITEE AUX SEULS ETATS ELECTRONIQUES OCCUPES. ON A PU PROCEDER A DES CALCULS DE STRUCTURES ELECTRONIQUES POUR DE L'HELIUM, DU LITHIUM ET DU CARBONE MAIS AUSSI DE L'OXYGENE ET DU NEON. LES VALEURS SONT EN ACCORD AVEC LES QUELQUES RESULTATS PUBLIES. NOUS AVONS AUSSI CALCULE QUELQUES ELEMENTS DE MATRICE DE TRANSITION OPTIQUE ENTRE ETATS LIES AINSI QUE DES COURANTS DE PROBABILITES.

Book PROPRIETES MAGNETIQUES DES OXYDES DE MANGANESE A ORDRE DE CHARGE ND 1 XCA XMNO 3

Download or read book PROPRIETES MAGNETIQUES DES OXYDES DE MANGANESE A ORDRE DE CHARGE ND 1 XCA XMNO 3 written by Frédéric Dupont and published by . This book was released on 2000 with total page 146 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: LES COMPOSES ND 1 XCA XMNO 3 APPARTIENNENT A LA FAMILLE DES OXYDES DE MANGANESE ABONDAMMENT ETUDIES DEPUIS LA DECOUVERTE DE LEUR MAGNETORESISTANCE COLOSSALE. EN PLUS DE CETTE MAGNETORESISTANCE, LES COMPOSES ETUDIES (X = 0.3, X = 0.4, X = 0.5) PRESENTENT UNE TRANSITION D'ORDRE DE CHARGE (MN 3 +/MN 4 +), QUI PRECEDE SYSTEMATIQUEMENT L'ORDRE MAGNETIQUE S'ETABLISSANT A PLUS BASSE TEMPERATURE. L'OBJECTIF DE CETTE THESE A ETE L'ETUDE DES PROPRIETES MAGNETIQUES DE CES TROIS COMPOSES PAR MESURES STATIQUES (AIMANTATION, SUSCEPTIBILITE, TRAINAGE) ET 10DYNAMIQUES (RESONANCE ELECTRONIQUE DE SPIN-RES) EN CHAMP MAGNETIQUE FAIBLE ET INTENSE (JUSQU'A 23T). LE COMPOSE ND 0 . 7CA 0 . 3MNO 3 EST FERROMAGNETIQUE AU-DESSOUS DE T C = 120K ET PRESENTE DU DESORDRE MAGNETIQUE A FAIBLE CHAMP. NOTRE ETUDE PAR RES A PERMIS DE CONFIRMER LA POLARISATION DE L'ION DE TERRE RARE (ND 3 +) ET DE CARACTERISER SON ROLE DANS LE PHENOMENE DE RESONANCE. NOUS AVONS EGALEMENT ETUDIE LES COMPOSES ANTIFERROMAGNETIQUES ND 0 . 6CA 0 . 4MNO 3 ET ND 0 . 5CA 0 . 5MNO 3 (T N = 160K) DE TEMPERATURE D'ORDRE DE CHARGE T O C = 250K. NOTRE ETUDE PERMET D'EXPLIQUER L'ORIGINE DU PIC DE SUSCEPTIBILITE MAGNETIQUE OBSERVE A T O C PAR LA COMPETITION ENTRE LE FERROMAGNETISME DE DOUBLE ECHANGE, DOMINANT A HAUTE TEMPERATURE, ET L'ORDRE DE CHARGE FAVORISANT L'ANTIFERROMAGNETISME PAR SUPERECHANGE. PAR AILLEURS LES MESURES DE RES NE MONTRENT AUCUNE SIGNATURE DE SEPARATION DE PHASE MAGNETIQUE AU-DESSUS DE T N. PAR L'ETUDE EN CHAMP MAGNETIQUE INTENSE DE CES DEUX COMPOSES NOUS AVONS MIS EN EVIDENCE LA DESTRUCTION DE L'ETAT D'ORDRE DE CHARGE ET LA TRANSITION VERS L'ETAT FERROMAGNETIQUE A HAUTS CHAMPS. LES DIAGRAMMES H-T (DE 0 A 23T ET DE 4 A 300K) CORRESPONDANT ONT ETE AINSI ETABLIS. UNE ETUDE ORIGINALE DE RES ENTRE 50GHZ ET 350GHZ ET JUSQU'A 23T A ETE EFFECTUEE POUR LE COMPOSE ND 0 . 5CA 0 . 5MNO 3. CETTE ANALYSE NOUS A PERMIS DE TRACER LES MODES DE RESONANCE (POSITION DE LA RAIE EN FONCTION DE LA FREQUENCE) DE CE COMPOSE. L'EVOLUTION DES MODES ANTIFERROMAGNETIQUES NE PEUT PAS ETRE EXPLIQUEE PAR UNE STRUCTURE UNIAXE. LEUR FORTE HYSTERESIS TRADUIT L'EFFET DE LA POLARISATION DU NEODYME. NOUS AVONS MONTRE EGALEMENT QU'UNE COMPOSANTE FERROMAGNETIQUE PERSISTE AU-DESSOUS DE T N.

Book Divine Names on the Spot

Download or read book Divine Names on the Spot written by Fabio Porzia and published by . This book was released on 2023 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: 'Ancient Greek and Semitic languages resorted to a large range of words to name the divine. Gods and goddesses were called by a variety of names and combinations of onomastic attributes. This broad lexicon of names is characterised by plurality and a tendency to build on different sequences of names; therefore, the Mapping Ancient Polytheisms project focuses on the process of naming the divine in order to better understand the ancient divine in terms of a plurality in the making. A fundamental rule for reading ancient divine names is to grasp them in their context - time and place, a ritual, the form of the discourse, a cultural milieu...: a deity is usually named according to a specific situation. From Artemis Eulochia to al-Lat, al-'Uzza and Manat, from Melqart to "my rock" in the biblical book of Psalms, this volume journeys between the sanctuary on Mount Gerizim and late antique magical practices, revisiting rituals, hymnic poetry, oaths of orators and philosophical prayers. While targeting different names in different contexts, the contributors draft theoretical propositions towards a dynamic approach of naming the divine in antiquity.'

Book excerpt: Gilles Mouëllic examines improvisational practices that can be specifically attributed to the cinema and argues in favors of their powers as instigators of unprecedented forms of expression. Improvising Cinema reflects both on the permanence of attempting improvisation and the relationship between technology and aesthetics. Mouëllic concludes preservation becomes even more invaluable in the case of improvisation, as the creative act exists only within the brief time span of the performance.

Book An Introduction to Differential Manifolds

Download or read book An Introduction to Differential Manifolds written by Jacques Lafontaine and published by Springer. This book was released on 2015-07-29 with total page 408 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is an introduction to differential manifolds. It gives solid preliminaries for more advanced topics: Riemannian manifolds, differential topology, Lie theory. It presupposes little background: the reader is only expected to master basic differential calculus, and a little point-set topology. The book covers the main topics of differential geometry: manifolds, tangent space, vector fields, differential forms, Lie groups, and a few more sophisticated topics such as de Rham cohomology, degree theory and the Gauss-Bonnet theorem for surfaces. Its ambition is to give solid foundations. In particular, the introduction of “abstract” notions such as manifolds or differential forms is motivated via questions and examples from mathematics or theoretical physics. More than 150 exercises, some of them easy and classical, some others more sophisticated, will help the beginner as well as the more expert reader. Solutions are provided for most of them. The book should be of interest to various readers: undergraduate and graduate students for a first contact to differential manifolds, mathematicians from other fields and physicists who wish to acquire some feeling about this beautiful theory. The original French text Introduction aux variétés différentielles has been a best-seller in its category in France for many years. Jacques Lafontaine was successively assistant Professor at Paris Diderot University and Professor at the University of Montpellier, where he is presently emeritus. His main research interests are Riemannian and pseudo-Riemannian geometry, including some aspects of mathematical relativity. Besides his personal research articles, he was involved in several textbooks and research monographs.

Book Dictionary of Abbreviations in Medical Sciences

Download or read book Dictionary of Abbreviations in Medical Sciences written by Rolf Heister and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2012-12-06 with total page 451 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Not everyone is a friend of the manifold abbreviations that have by now beCome a part of the scientific language of medicine. In order to avoid misunderstanding these abbreviations, it is wise to refer to a reliable dic tionary, such as this one prepared by Heister. The abbreviation ED means, for instance, effective dose to the pharmacologist. However, it might also stand for emetic dose. Radiologists use the same abbreviation for erythema dose, and ED could also mean ethyl dichlorarsine. A com mon meaning of ECU is European currency unit, a meaning that might not be very often in scientific medical publications. ECU, however, also means environmental control unit or European Chiropractic Union. Hopefully, those making inventions and discoveries will make use of Heister's dictionary before creating new abbreviations when preparing manuscripts for scientific publications. It is a very worthwhile goal not to use the same abbreviation for several different terms, especially if it is already widely accepted to mean only one of them. It may be impossible, however, to achieve this goal in different scientific disciplines. Therefore, although it is wise for the abbreviations used in a publication to be defined, it is also very helpful for readers and writers to use a dictionary such as this one. The author deserves our warmest thanks since we know that compiling such a comprehensive dictionary is based upon incredibly hard effort.

Book The Cultural Contradictions Of Capitalism

Download or read book The Cultural Contradictions Of Capitalism written by Daniel Bell and published by Basic Books. This book was released on 1996-10-18 with total page 400 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: With a new afterword by the author, this classic analysis of Western liberal capitalist society contends that capitalism—and the culture it creates—harbors the seeds of its own downfall by creating a need among successful people for personal gratification—a need that corrodes the work ethic that led to their success in the first place. With the end of the Cold War and the emergence of a new world order, this provocative manifesto is more relevant than ever.
