A wicked Queen, hot air balloons, a friendly yellow dragon and a Prince with a lot of responsibility and a huge talent for getting lost make for a hilarious journey. . . will definitely be sharing it with my grandchildren." -Sharon Walker, grandparent "a wonderful and fantastical story. . .a great read for older elementary children. . .enjoyed discovering this whimsical world, watching Nero overcome his obstacles, and seeing the growth of characters through the story. . ." -Christina Newcomb "Very cute story. I can't wait to read it with my girls! As someone who has no sense of direction, I love that Nero is directionally challenged also. I hope there are more books to follow. I'd love to read about the other characters or even more adventures with Nero." -Charlotte's Reviews (Goodreads) Book 2.5: Trouble at the Valentine Factory "Gr 4-7–Decher's fourth book in the "Seven Kingdoms" series is a zany story of ingenuity and collaboration. Book Class Politics and Early Industrial Capitalism

Download or read book Class Politics and Early Industrial Capitalism written by Ronald Aminzade and published by State University of New York Press. This book was released on 1981-06-30 with total page 360 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Ronald Aminzade provides an original analysis of how the development of early industrial capitalism transformed the political landscape in mid-nineteenth-century France and gave rise to the revolutionary political upheavals of 1848 and 1871. In a detailed local case study of the city of Toulouse, the author carefully documents how the developing solidarities and antagonisms of social class were reflected in the changing character of working-class associations, cultural institutions, collective actions, and political ideologies. Aminzade employs a coherent and sophisticated Marxist class analysis to systematically explore a wide variety of important issues, ranging from the changing organization of the industrial workplace to the decline of patronage politics and the central role of artisans in revolutionary working-class politics. His study of the role of the Republican party in forging the changing political class alliances of the period and his analysis of the contradictory character of working-class political incorporation and repression are provocative and incisive. The book concludes with a theoretical interpretation of the concept of hegemony, exploring the role of ideologies, political parties, and the state in the development of hegemonic forms of class domination.

Book excerpt: Had his ship finally come in? For Christopher Trask, it was beginning to look that way. Though his professional life might be a shambles, his Valentine's Day family reunion on the high seas was looking most promising—especially once he met fellow passenger Larkin Hayes. The beautiful "it" girl was there to keep an eye on her often remarried father. But Christopher couldn't keep his eyes off her.… Larkin was suspicious of Christopher from the start—and her father falling for his aunt was certainly complicating matters! Still, a cruise ship wasn't real life…and Christopher could kiss her senseless. So what was the harm in a little holiday fun? Surely her common sense would return once she was back on dry land….
