This is partly due to the fact that the contributors and editors hall from five European countries, but even the two chapters that describe major cross-national research covering up to 60 countries, concentrate attention on European issues including eastern countries that only moved into the center of Europe six or seven years ago. The justification for inclusion in this special issue is that each report makes a potentially practical contribution to work and organizational psychologists and those working in organizations in the area of Human Resource Management or Consultancy. European psychology has not yet given leadership anything like the attention it deserves and consequently the contrast with the United States, where this subject is extensively researched, is very noticeable. This special edition may lead to a reassessment of the opportunities and perhaps also act as a stimulus for more applied research to be carded out to engage with the prevalent conditions in Europe. The growth of the European Union and its various harmonization provisions seeks to establish what is often called a 'level playing field' for organizations and this will give leaders in competing enterprises new challenges and new opportunities. Several contributions in the present special issue begin to relate to these developing areas.

Soil and water contamination through heavy metals, hydrocarbons and radioactive wastes is of global concern, as these factors have cumulative effects on the environment and human health through food-chain contamination. The book discusses the utilization of algae, plants, plant-associated bacteria, fungi (endophytic or rhizospheric) and certain lower animals for the sustainable bioremediation of organic and inorganic pollutants. In addition, it explores a number of more recent techniques like biochar and biofilms for carbon sequestration, soil conditioning and remediation, and water remediation. It highlights a number of recent advances in nanobioremediation, an emerging technology based on biosynthetic nanoparticles. Each 24 hour creation day foretold of a future 1,000 year period for a total 7,000 year plan God had for The Game of Life to be played on planet earth. And amazingly, to confirm this is all true, God hid a secret prophesy in each creation day foretelling the greatest event He had planned to occur in that day's future millennium!Consequently, Creation day 1 foretold Adam & Eve's fall, which was fulfilled during earth's 1st millennium. Creation day 2 foretold Noah's global flood, which was fulfilled during earth's 2nd millennium. Creation day 3 foretold Moses' Red Sea parting, which was fulfilled during earth's 3rd millennium. Creation day 4 foretold of John the Baptist & Jesus Christ, and so they lived and died during earth's 4th millennium. And the prophecies continue with each Creation day!Gabriel proves all of the above, carefully revealing the prophetic Scriptures as well as the fulfillment Scriptures. Then he reveals a dozen Scriptures proving Christ died earth's 4,000 year and will return earth's 6,000 year. Finally, he proves Christ died Feast of Passover AD 28 and will return Feast of Trumpets 2028. For those who read this book, it is an open and shut case: The Game of Life will end 2,000 years from the year of Christ's death on the cross - AD 2028.
