Book Transient Reflection and Transmission of a Plane Wave Normally Incident Upon a Semi infinite Anisotropic Plasma

Download or read book Transient Reflection and Transmission of a Plane Wave Normally Incident Upon a Semi infinite Anisotropic Plasma written by Carl T. Case and published by . This book was released on 1964 with total page 42 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: General solutions for the transmitted and reflected waves in integral form are obtained for a plane wave of arbitrary time dependence, normally incident upon a semiinfinite, cold, collisionless, homogeneous, anisotropic ionized medium. The special case of an isotropic plasma with an incident wave of harmonic time dependence is also investigated. (Author).

Book On the Impedance Method for Measuring High Electron Density and Electron Collision Frequency in a Gaseous Plasma Column

Download or read book On the Impedance Method for Measuring High Electron Density and Electron Collision Frequency in a Gaseous Plasma Column written by Denis M. Coffey and published by . This book was released on 1965 with total page 38 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: An analysis of a microwave impedance method for measuring electron density and effective electron collision frequency in a plasma column is reviewed. It is evident from laboratory observations that surface polarization effects may be present in the impedance method. Such a consideration alters the form of the usual expression for the complex dielectric constant of an ionized gas. (Author).

Book A Discussion of the Wheeler Feynman Absorber Theory of Radiation

Download or read book A Discussion of the Wheeler Feynman Absorber Theory of Radiation written by Ronald G. Newburgh and published by . This book was released on 1965 with total page 34 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Wheeler-Feynman absorber theory of radiation is reviewed. A proof is offered to show that a sum of advanced and retarded effects from the absorber can provide the origin of radiative reaction. This proof is different from and perhaps simpler than that of Wheeler and Feynman. From arguments of momentum and energy conservation the necessity of the absorber for the emission of radiation is demonstrated for three cases. (Author).

Book Machine aided Design of Context free Grammars

Download or read book Machine aided Design of Context free Grammars written by Thomas G. Evans and published by . This book was released on 1965 with total page 30 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The following paper represents work to date on the deformation method for quadratic programming and thus may be regarded as a sequel to Zahl, S. (1964) A Deformation Method for Quadratic Programming, Research Note AFCRL-63-132. It gives an explanation of a modified Iverson programming language and uses this to give a detailed algorithm for the Zahl Deformation Method of Quadratic Programming.

Book Forbidden Absorption band Systems of N2 in the Vacuum ultraviolet Region

Download or read book Forbidden Absorption band Systems of N2 in the Vacuum ultraviolet Region written by Y. Tanaka and published by . This book was released on 1964 with total page 20 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Five systems of absorption bands of N2, were investigated in the 1070-1600-A region. A 2-m ad a 3-m vacuum spectrograph, both of normalincidence-type, were used in this work. A final designation of the upper electronic state must come from a rotational analysis, because the observed T00 of the state differed from that of the W state by approximately 40 cm( -1). The potential enejgy curves of the low-lying N2 states prepared by Mulliken are compared with those calculated by using the presently determined constants. (Author).

Book The Application of a System of Fixed rotating Vectors to Circuit Analysis and Synthesis

Download or read book The Application of a System of Fixed rotating Vectors to Circuit Analysis and Synthesis written by Carl T. Case and published by . This book was released on 1965 with total page 22 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A system of fixed-rotating vectors can be used to study the impedance loci of functions of the first Foster form and of systems including negative impedance converters. Of particular interest in the field of dielectrics and biological membrane studies is a parallel RC network, where the dielectric of the capacitor is given by the Debye dispersion relations. Such a network also falls into the category of the first Foster form.

Book Solving the Wiener Hopf Equation

Download or read book Solving the Wiener Hopf Equation written by David Arthur Shnidman and published by . This book was released on 1965 with total page 38 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Wiener-Hopf equation is briefly derived and the method of solving, which is believed easiest to use, is presented. The solution is then specialized for the case where the message and input spectral densities are rational functions.

Book Adsorption of Inorganic Anions on a Mercury Electrode from Solutions of Formamide

Download or read book Adsorption of Inorganic Anions on a Mercury Electrode from Solutions of Formamide written by Richard Payne and published by . This book was released on 1965 with total page 28 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A theory of hydromagnetic ionizing waves has been developed which is valid in the region in which gas pressure is negligible, compared with magnetic pressure. The theory takes into account the energy expended in partial ionization of the gas behind the wave. The usual high conductivity boundary condition behind the wave is not employed. The electric field in front of the wave is taken as a parameter. Results of this theory are compared with available experimental measurements, and show good agreement. (Author).
