Book Transformation method of decision making probability based on correlation degree

Download or read book Transformation method of decision making probability based on correlation degree written by ZHAO Yu-xin and published by Infinite Study. This book was released on with total page 7 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: To slove the problem in the transformation of basic probability assignment to decision-making probability, this paper proposed a novel transformation method based on correlation degree. The correlation degree between basic probability assignment of singleton proposition and decision-making probability was used to evaluate the transformation method, and the decision-making probability of each proposition was achieved by linear combination, which was the transformation method of decision-making probability based on proportional belief and proportional plausibility. The proposed method was compared to the other usual methods with an example. The experimental result shows that the proposed method is more reasonable and effective.

Book A novel decision probability transformation method based on belief interval

Download or read book A novel decision probability transformation method based on belief interval written by Zhan Deng and published by Infinite Study. This book was released on with total page 11 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In Dempster–Shafer evidence theory, the basic probability assignment (BPA) can effectively represent and process uncertain information. How to transform the BPA of uncertain information into a decision probability remains a problem to be solved. In the light of this issue, we develop a novel decision probability transformation method to realize the transition from the belief decision to the probability decision in the framework of Dempster–Shafer evidence theory. The newly proposed method considers the transformation of BPA with multi-subset focal elements from the perspective of the belief interval, and applies the continuous interval argument ordered weighted average operator to quantify the data information contained in the belief interval for each singleton. Afterward, we present an approach to calculate the support degree of the singleton based on quantitative data information. According to the support degree of the singleton, the BPA of multi-subset focal elements is allocated reasonably. Furthermore, we introduce the concepts of probabilistic information content in this paper, which is utilized to evaluate the performance of the decision probability transformation method. Eventually, a few numerical examples and a practical application are given to demonstrate the rationality and accuracy of our proposed method.

Book Nonlinear Interval Optimization for Uncertain Problems

Download or read book Nonlinear Interval Optimization for Uncertain Problems written by Chao Jiang and published by Springer Nature. This book was released on 2020-12-08 with total page 291 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book systematically discusses nonlinear interval optimization design theory and methods. Firstly, adopting a mathematical programming theory perspective, it develops an innovative mathematical transformation model to deal with general nonlinear interval uncertain optimization problems, which is able to equivalently convert complex interval uncertain optimization problems to simple deterministic optimization problems. This model is then used as the basis for various interval uncertain optimization algorithms for engineering applications, which address the low efficiency caused by double-layer nested optimization. Further, the book extends the nonlinear interval optimization theory to design problems associated with multiple optimization objectives, multiple disciplines, and parameter dependence, and establishes the corresponding interval optimization models and solution algorithms. Lastly, it uses the proposed interval uncertain optimization models and methods to deal with practical problems in mechanical engineering and related fields, demonstrating the effectiveness of the models and methods.

This book was released on 2016-04-19 with total page 364 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: To make the best decisions, you need the best information. However, because most issues in game theory are grey, nearly all recent research has been carried out using a simplified method that considers grey systems as white ones. This often results in a forecasting function that is far from satisfactory when applied to many real situations. Grey Ga

This event was jointly sponsored by IEEE Systems, Man, and Cybernetics Society, Natural Science Foundation of China, and Grey Systems Society of China. Additionally, Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics also invested heavily in this event with its direct and indirect financial and administrative supports. The conference aimed at bringing together all scholars and experts in the fields of grey systems and intelligent services from around the world to share their cutting edge research results, exchange innovative ideas, promote mutual understanding, and seek potential opportunities for collaboration. The conference program c- mittee received 1054 full paper submissions from 16 countries and geographical regions. Nine hundred sixty four papers were submitted for regular sessions and 90 papers were tunnelled directly for special topic sessions. All the submitted papers, including those aiming at special topic sessions, were rigorously reviewed by at least 3 reviewers. Based on the reviewers’ reports, 251 papers were accepted for oral presentations, while 99 accepted for poster presentations. In other words, only slightly over 33% of the submitted papers were accepted by this conference. The rate of acceptance was lower than one third of the total submissions.

Download or read book Transforming Conservation written by William J. Sutherland and published by Open Book Publishers. This book was released on 2022-12-07 with total page 351 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: There are severe problems with the decision-making processes currently widely used, leading to ineffective use of evidence, faulty decisions, wasting of resources and the erosion of public and political support. In this book an international team of experts provide solutions. The transformation suggested includes rethinking how evidence is assessed, combined, communicated and used in decision-making; using effective methods when asking experts to make judgements (i.e. avoiding just asking an expert or a group of experts!); using a structured process for making decisions that incorporate the evidence and having effective processes for learning from actions. In each case, the specific problem with decision making is described with a range of practical solutions. Adopting this approach to decision-making requires societal change so detailed suggestions are made for transforming organisations, governments, businesses, funders and philanthropists. The practical suggestions include twelve downloadable checklists. The vision of the authors is to transform conservation so it is more effective, more cost-efficient, learns from practice and is more attractive to funders. However, the lessons of this important book go well beyond conservation to decision-makers in any field.

Book Transactions on Computational Science II

Download or read book Transactions on Computational Science II written by Marina L. Gavrilova and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2008-09-16 with total page 256 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The LNCS journal Transactions on Computational Science reflects recent developments in the field of Computational Science, conceiving the field not as a mere ancillary science but rather as an innovative approach supporting many other scientific disciplines. The journal focuses on original high-quality research in the realm of computational science in parallel and distributed environments, encompassing the facilitating theoretical foundations and the applications of large-scale computations and massive data processing. It addresses researchers and practitioners in areas ranging from aerospace to biochemistry, from electronics to geosciences, from mathematics to software architecture, presenting verifiable computational methods, findings and solutions and enabling industrial users to apply techniques of leading-edge, large-scale, high performance computational methods. Transactions on Computational Science II is devoted to the subject of denotational mathematics for computational intelligence. Denotational mathematics, as a counterpart of conventional analytic mathematics, is a category of expressive mathematical structures that deals with high-level mathematical entities beyond numbers and sets, such as abstract objects, complex relations, behavioral information, concepts, knowledge, processes, granules, and systems. This volume includes 12 papers covering the following four important areas: foundations and applications of denotational mathematics; rough and fuzzy set theories; granular computing; and knowledge and information modeling.
