Tomb of Tiberesh is an adventure for the Southlands Campaign Setting for five or six 2nd-level characters and uses the 5th Edition rules. It is easily adapted to any fantasy desert campaign. Just outside Per-Bastet, in the kingdom of Nuria Natal, lie the newly discovered remains of Anu-Asir, a city once believed to exist only in myth. The ruins of Anu-Asir lie submerged under accumulations of sand, floodwater, and tall tales. It is now a hub of activity for those seeking to uncover its secrets-and profit from them. Droves of the curious, hopeful, greedy, and eccentric congregate around the unearthed city. And just outside Anu-Asir, across the River Nuria, lies the most recently surfaced relic: the Pyramid of Tiberesh. Dare you explore its deadly mysteries? This adventure was originally run at Gen Con 2015 in Indianapolis, to much acclaim, and is presented here in an expanded version.

Book excerpt: This is the 2nd edition-New 3rd edition publishes on October 30th-refer to isbn 9781473697324.. Every day, high performers are tapped to be executives and then left alone to figure out how to succeed in their new role. When this happens, most executives rely on strengths that served them well earlier in their careers. As executive coach Scott Eblin explains, this is why 40 percent of them fail. Moving successfully to the executive level requires knowing which behaviors and beliefs to let go, as well as which new onces to pick up. This confidence-building book outlines a program for success based on frank advice from accomplished senior executives around the world on what to do and, just as important, what to avoid. Like having a personal executive coach at your side, this valuable book shows you what to pick up and let go of to be successful at the next level. Book Shifting Social Imaginaries in the Hellenistic Period

Download or read book Shifting Social Imaginaries in the Hellenistic Period written by Eftychia Stavrianopoulou and published by BRILL. This book was released on 2013-09-12 with total page 458 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: There is a long tradition in classical scholarship of reducing the Hellenistic period to the spreading of Greek language and culture far beyond the borders of the Mediterranean. More than anything else this perception has hindered an appreciation of the manifold consequences triggered by the creation of new spaces of connectivity linking different cultures and societies in parts of Europe, Asia and Africa. In adopting a new approach this volume explores the effects of the continuous adaptations of ideas and practices to new contexts of meaning on the social imaginaries of the parties participating in these intercultural encounters. The essays show that the seemingly static end-products of the interaction between Greek and non-Greek groups, such as texts, images, and objects, were embedded in long-term discourses, and thus subject to continuously shifting processes.
