Her first book Thoughts of a Blossom was published in 2014. The 33 writings in this book are arranged under eight categories: Unforgettable Experiences, Book Reviews, Stories, Discussions, Diary Entries, Descriptions, Poetry and Miscellaneous. The book starts with three unforgettable experiences, including a brief encounter in which author Michael Rosen asked Janithma to autograph her first book for him and a visit to Shakespeare Village. Among the other pieces are a review on a Malorie Blackman book, a short story on a secret, a discussion on whether children should wear uniforms, a diary entry on an imaginary balloon ride, a poem on Pompeii and a recipe for friendship! In July 2015 Janithma was studying in Year Five at Alexandra Primary School in London. She aims to promote reading and writing among children.
