A dead elf, drugs, infidelity, and an old job tangle together and challenge Vox's ability to solve the mystery. As the bodies pile up and the suspect list grows Vox has to decide who to trust - the beautiful new widow or the mysterious young mage. Sex, lies, magic, and murder ... just a typical day in Thornbury. A cold blooded murder, a hot widow, and too many suspects... "The elf had been cut in two. Not a magical murder then, which was too bad. I would have felt more at home with a magical murder. You know where you stand with magic. And Thornbury's rife with magic. Too much magic for one city, but not enough to explain this murder."

Book Medical Records Use and Abuse

Download or read book Medical Records Use and Abuse written by Heidi Tranberg and published by CRC Press. This book was released on 2018-12-14 with total page 222 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: ‘This book provides the background and practical guidance for all those of us who face challenges for the way we handle medical records. Written by a lawyer and a clinical informatician it provides the fusion between the legal issues and the practical clinical ones. There are clear explanations of the current legal framework, set in the context of real-world applications; the more complex issues that have a significant impact on Policy are also dealt with in depth. The background to ‘consent’ and the impact that implied and explicit consent can have on the way records are collect and used is particularly well covered. This book has many audiences, all of whom will gain from the easily accessible information within it. Caldicott guardians, research ethics committee members, and all those researchers and clinicians who need to analyze patient information will have a particular need for this handbook. Patients and the public should use it to understand how their healthcare information is protected and used. Its arrival could not have come at a better time’ Sir John Pattison, Former Director of Research, Analysis and Information, Department of Health, England.

Book The Voyage Out

    Book Details:
  • Author : Virginia Woolf
  • Publisher : Standard Ebooks
  • Release : 2018-11-05T22:04:48Z
  • ISBN :
  • Pages : 452 pages

Download or read book The Voyage Out written by Virginia Woolf and published by Standard Ebooks. This book was released on 2018-11-05T22:04:48Z with total page 452 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Miss Rachel Vinrace, aged twenty-four and previously interested only in music, is on a voyage both literal and metaphorical. An ocean cruise with her father leaves her for the summer at her Aunt’s villa in an unnamed South American country, where she meets the English inhabitants of the local town’s hotel. As the season progresses she starts to become entangled in their own lives and passions, and through those burgeoning acquaintances and friendships the discovery of her own nature grows. The Voyage Out is Virginia Woolf’s first novel and was a labour of love, taking her five years to complete. Even though heavy editing was required to reduce some of the more politically charged themes before its publication in 1915, it still bemused some contemporary critics and even garnered accusations of “reckless femininity.” Time however has proved kinder, with the book demonstrating the key points of Woolf’s future style. It even has the first appearance of Clarissa Dalloway, the titular protagonist of Woolf’s later and more famous novel Mrs. Dalloway. This book is part of the Standard Ebooks project, which produces free public domain ebooks.
