Book excerpt: Writes that since he did not receive a response to his letter to Knox of 13 August 1790, he has had several meetings with the holders of Mr. Flucker's Bond and Notes and found that it was impossible to prevent their filing a Bill in Chancery against Mrs. Harwood, unless she consented that they should have an equal dividend of the Money in her hands, with Messrs. Wright and Gill and my self. Mrs. Harwood then requested a day for the final settlement of this business, this she put off; under the pretense (for I can call it no other now) of consulting her Attorney.
