Book This Is Personal

Download or read book This Is Personal written by Brennan Dunn and published by BenBella Books. This book was released on 2023-10-17 with total page 195 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Sending highly relevant, personal, and timely messages to your email list is essential for winning new customers and keeping current ones happy. This Is Personal offers a paradigm-shattering marketing model for meeting customers where they are. Most companies send “one-size-fits-all” communication to everyone in their audience, leading to low engagement on their social media channels and emails left unread in their customers’ inboxes because it’s unclear to recipients how this information helps them. But all businesses, from banks to local butchers, depend on their latest promotions and product announcements reaching and personally resonating with their customers. This Is Personal helps companies better understand the individual needs and identities of their audience, no matter the size, enabling businesses to send better, more relevant emails that generate more opens, more clicks, and, ultimately, more sales. Author Brennan Dunn shares the key strategies for maintaining high-touch, personalized sales relationships and doing so at scale. As a speaker, consultant, and founder of RightMessage, a software company focused on infusing mass marketing with personalization, he has been dialing in on and refining these strategies for years so that you can immediately implement them in your business. He’s discovered that the best tool for this moment is email. Dunn showcases a range of companies who are using personalized email to better connect with their audience, including bakeries, bariatric surgeons, the State of Washington’s tourism board, business coaches, fitness instructors, a heavy metal band, and more. You’ll learn how these businesses have made this transition in their communication strategies and visualize your potential success in theirs. This Is Personal enables you to learn about your customers in a systematic way in order to communicate your specific value to them via one-to-many emails that feel one-to-one, resulting in better engagement and higher sales.

Named a Notable Book of the Year by the Washington Post! “Historical fiction at its best!”* A remarkable novel about J. P. Morgan’s personal librarian, Belle da Costa Greene, the Black American woman who was forced to hide her true identity and pass as white in order to leave a lasting legacy that enriched our nation, from New York Times bestselling authors Marie Benedict and Victoria Christopher Murray. She is the daughter of Richard Greener, the first Black graduate of Harvard and a well-known advocate for equality. Belle’s complexion isn’t dark because of her alleged Portuguese heritage that lets her pass as white—her complexion is dark because she is African American. Book Finance Is Personal

Download or read book Finance Is Personal written by Kim Stephenson and published by Bloomsbury Publishing USA. This book was released on 2015-06-30 with total page 193 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This groundbreaking personal finance resource shows you how to manage thinking, feelings, and behavior so that you can handle your money to get what you want—not what someone else thinks you ought to have to be happy. Financial planning and money management are hot topics, but most books don't help you figure out what you truly want your money to provide for you. Exploring links between money and happiness, this guide is based on sound theory and on the latest research in psychology, behavioral economics, happiness, and neuroscience. It will give people at any stage of life—especially those of you in college or starting careers—the tools to plot your own course through the financial world and, ultimately, use money as a gateway to a happy and fulfilling life. Stephenson and Hutchins introduce core concepts that support strong, sound decision making around money, based on personal values, attitudes and beliefs, and goals. Practical, information-gathering questions and exercises help you uncover your true financial needs. The final two chapters show you how to integrate the relevant information with your goals and develop a plan for success. Along the way, you will learn such things as how to plan for your long-term goals, how to delay certain types of gratification for another type of instant gratification (peace of mind), how to think about credit, and how to make decisions on such issues as renting or buying, investing or saving, and borrowing a lot, a little, or not at all. Finally, you will come away with new ideas for how to have fun on a budget.

Book When History Is Personal

Download or read book When History Is Personal written by Mimi Schwartz and published by U of Nebraska Press. This book was released on 2018-03-01 with total page 267 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: When History Is Personal contains the stories of twenty-five moments in Mimi Schwartz’s life, each heightened by its connection to historical, political, and social issues. These essays look both inward and outward so that these individualized tales tell a larger story—of assimilation, the women’s movement, racism, anti-Semitism, end-of-life issues, ethics in writing, digital and corporate challenges, and courtroom justice. A shrewd and discerning storyteller, Schwartz captures history from her vantage as a child of German-Jewish immigrants, a wife of over fifty years, a breast cancer survivor, a working mother, a traveler, a tennis player, a daughter, and a widow. In adding her personal story to the larger narrative of history, culture, and politics, Schwartz invites readers to consider her personal take alongside “official” histories and offers readers fresh assessments of our collective past.

Book Solipsism Physical Things and Personal Perceptual Space

Download or read book Solipsism Physical Things and Personal Perceptual Space written by Safak Ural and published by Vernon Press. This book was released on 2019-09-30 with total page 348 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Solipsism indicates an epistemological position that denies the existence of ‘others’ by asserting that the ‘self’ is the only thing that can be known to exist. For sophist philosophers, the belief that “we can not know anything, and even if we do so, we cannot communicate it” is central to this theory. However, until now there has been little academic scholarship that has tried to provide answers to the pressing issues raised by solipsism. In Solipsist Ontology: Physical Things and Personal Perceptual Space, Ural aims to redefine solipsism by analyzing and elaborating on traditional philosophical problems, such as empiricism and rationalism, as well as discussing problems of language, communication, and meaning. Ural reveals where solipsism has been previously ignored, pseudo-problems have arisen that disguise the sources of the problems with prejudices that concern the philosophical problems in question. Notably, many current, as well as traditional problems of ontology, epistemology, and language are bound up in discourses of solipsism. Ural argues that discarding solipsism as a philosophical discourse hinders new interpretations of traditional philosophical thought. This book offers a fresh perspective to solipsism by defining it in relation to concepts such as ‘physical things,’ ‘personal perceptual space’ and ‘identity.’ Importantly, Ural proposes that an understanding of ‘identity’ is not necessary in order to redefine solipsism. By building a logical system that fashions communication and solipsism as interrelated, it is possible to reject ‘identity’ as a useless concept and thus overcome the classic solipsist dilemma of “we are not able to communicate.” This original piece of research is an important and timely contribution to the field of philosophy that will be of great interest to teachers, researchers, and students.
