Book Design of Nonplanar Microstrip Antennas and Transmission Lines

Download or read book Design of Nonplanar Microstrip Antennas and Transmission Lines written by Kin-Lu Wong and published by John Wiley & Sons. This book was released on 2004-04-07 with total page 388 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A one-stop reference to the design and analysis of nonplanar microstrip structures. Owing to their conformal capability, nonplanar microstrip antennas and transmission lines have been intensely investigated over the past decade. Yet most of the accumulated research has been too scattered across the literature to be useful to scientists and engineers working on these curved structures. Now, antenna expert Kin-Lu Wong compiles and organizes the latest research results and other cutting-edge developments into an extensive survey of the characteristics of microstrip antennas mounted on canonical nonplanar surfaces. Demonstrating a variety of theoretical techniques and deducing the general characteristics of nonplanar microstrip antennas from calculated results, Wong thoroughly addresses the problems of cylindrical, spherical, and conical structures and gives readers powerful design and optimization tools. Up-to-date topics range from specific applications of spherical and conical microstrip arrays to the curvature effects on the analysis of cylindrical microstrip lines and coplanar waveguides. With 256 illustrations and an exhaustive list of references, Design of Nonplanar Microstrip Antennas and Transmission Lines is an indispensable guide for antenna designers in wireless and personal communications and in radar systems, and an invaluable reference for researchers and students interested in this important technology.

Book Planar Antenna

Download or read book Planar Antenna written by Praveen Kumar Malik and published by Nova Science Publishers. This book was released on 2021 with total page 406 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "This book focuses on recent advances in the field of planar antenna design and their applications in various fields of research including space communication, mobile communication, wireless communication, and wearable applications. Planar antennas are also used in medical applications including microwave imaging, medical implants, hyperthermia treatments, and wireless wellness monitoring. However, most of these applications still use bulky antenna systems which hamper their efficiency and applicability despite high application potential. The primary objective of recent antenna research is the reduction in size and complexity. Students, scholars and researchers are used to doing mathematical modelling and pattern measurements in simulated environments only. Our aim is to show academic and industry researchers as well as advanced students and lecturers in electronics, electrical and instrumentation engineering how to do measurements in real-world environments. This book will present planar antenna design concepts, methods, and techniques to enhance performance parameters, as well as applications for IoTs and device-to-device communication. We will provide the latest techniques used for the design of antennas in terms of their structures, defected ground, MIMO, and fractal design. This book will also address the specific steps to resolve issues in designing antennas and how to design conformal and miniaturized antenna structures for various applications"--

Book Nonlinear Microwave Signal Processing Towards a New Range of Devices

Download or read book Nonlinear Microwave Signal Processing Towards a New Range of Devices written by R. Marcelli and published by Springer. This book was released on 1996-12-14 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is the result of the contributions coming from the more than thirty key rd speakers of the 3 international Workshop on Nonlinear Microwave Magnetics held in th Roma, Italy from the 3rd to the 6 of October 1995. Since the 1990, in Ulyanovsk, when the Russian Academy of Sciences promoted the first Workshop of the series, the basic idea was to have a sort of Institutional Meeting collecting Scientists of the Magnetics Community devoted to Spin Wave Electronics at Microwave Frequencies. It was a succesful organization, and the birth of an effective interaction between eastern and western researchers overcame the meaning of the Workshop itself. Three years later, in Irvine, California, 1993, the Spin Wave Community was joined again. It was clear that the growing interest on hot topics of Nonlinear Microwave Magnetics involving both, applicative and fundamental aspects of microwave magnetic media, favoured the organization of further meetings on the same subject. So far, during the social dinner, in the middle between a serious proposal and the joke encouraged by the Californian Wine, Roma was proposed as the third place for the Workshop. Day after day, the joke became serious, and it was possible to solve the financial and logistic problems in time for the predicted deadline.
